The Coffee Station in Taunton Deane

We come here often, and the fact it’s 100% vegan is such a plus. Always great coffee, great cakes, and great sausage rolls. My belly is rumbling right now thinking of this coffee shop. I don’t come as much as I should but deffo a contender for best coffee shop in Taunton.

My favourite cafe ! Such a cool place, incredible coffees and amazing cake. I’d come everyday if I lived closer, highly recommended.

I don't pop in as often as I did asy son is now 10 and a bit old for the play area. But just popped in for a cup of tea which tasted great. Lovely atmosphere and service as usual

Extremely unprofessional personnel working here. This place would still maintain its quirk if its success hadn’t gone way over their head. I walked past the coffee shop and two ladies sat outside somehow assumed I was going to go in and spoil their compulsive smoking break and told me the place wasn’t opening for another half an hour when I wasn’t even going to go in. If that hadn’t been enough display of bad taste, entitledness, and very poor manners, when I responded” I know” the two ladies who are supposed to be running this place, started laughing behind my back . Totally appalling that 1) they are chain smoking just in front of a children’s playground 2) they make assumptions that people can’t live without their services ( I assure you, the coffee you make there doesn’t even get to the level of dirty water) and 3) they are so unprofessional. Please get it checked

The coffee is so bad here that I can’t actually drink it, and despite this I kept coming back and would just order a tea. The fact that this is the only cafe around for a while (if you’re on foot) is definitely its highlight. However, after a really bad experience we just won’t come back at all. My sister and I decided to go for an impromptu walk and lunch, my treat for her during the stressful exam period. When we arrived, we were disappointed to see that they no longer serve proper food here, just cake and sausage rolls now. While the member of staff behind the till was telling us the available food options and we were deliberating, the not so lovely owner appeared and just went off on us! She was so rude and confrontational that my sister wanted to leave because it was so awkward. No lunch for us then. Basically, bad coffee, not much food and a horrible owner. So really only go here if you want a cup of tea, cake and an argument.

An unsuspecting lovely little coffee shop tucked away behind the cricket ground. Brilliant coffee and cakes accompanied by a few board games and books.

Not too crowded. Just right. Found a window seat.

Very good coffee shop. We had an amazing hot biscoff tasting like the actual biscuits and a hot chocolate really good. Place cozy with good photos and music and books. Excellent staff.

Surprisingly good coffee shop lost in the middle of a few rugby grounds. Parking available but not free. Accessible from the Vivary green area. Cosy interior with decoration focused on the universe of trains and rail industry.

I love this place. From the amazing cakes, to the locally roasted coffee, to the fabulous girls who run it. I will drive 30m at least once a week just to visit the Coffee Station. I have taken everyone I know, and wont meet anywhere else. They have something very special here. A must visit.

Edited: Great coffee and cakes, nice staff, in a lovely spot. Right next to a great walk and kids play park. We had a slight negative experience with a member of public, but the owners/staff dealt with it promptly and thoughtfully. Thank you for being understanding and supportive of nursing Mums. Went there for the first time today as the gates to Vivary Park were locked all round except for a gate by the Coffee Station Cafe. Went inside for a hot chocolate and cake. I had a flapjack and my husband had hot crumpets and butter. Small inside and snug. You can sit outside under cover but was cold. We sat on one side of the table and another couple on the other side. Would recommend a visit.

Lovely cafe, cake is amazing and food is delicious, I would definitely recommend and will be back! Great park for a walk and lovely park for kids too ☺️

I don't normally do a bad review. So here's the plus side. It's set out nice and the lady behind the counter is lovely so here's the quandary. There is no sign to warn you the cafe is vegan. We only had cans of drink so I cannot comment on the hot drinks. We queued for a bit. But it was busy so no problems there. We ordered ham and Cheese and bacon and cheese paninis and was told they were vegan . OK the lady was charming so as we try most things and my daughter likes to try stuff we agreed. Took a while to get them as there was a mix up who ordered first but again it was busy so no problems there. The main issue is the cheese isn't cheese and the bacon really isn't like bacon. More like dog chews in texture really and the cheese was just horrible more like the old processed one in tins of old. Even the lab wouldn't eat it. Our fault for trying it really but never again. I might die younger but At least I'll die happy. Also by the amount of food left on the plates in the dining area and outside I might not be the only one.

This place is cool, great setting, perfect location. The food is exceptional and staff very welcoming and helpful cakes awesome...check out the birthday cakes too😎

This is my local and cafe of choice visit everyday.. a space to relax and the quality of product is exceptional. The menu options have expanded and there is always something new to try. I need to strongly not allow myself a cake everyday as the options and taste are unparalleled but need to watch my waistline! Vegan and dog friendly too. I always come back to visit my happy place.. thank you all. Ps dog friendly is an amazing thing as it's situated in such a lovely park.

Was quite looking forward to visiting, but was disappointed again. First time was a few weeks ago and I was surprised at how nice and tucked away this place is. First time round I noticed that the place had lots of potential but dirty and seemed like staff had given up a bit. On second visit today the gutters were all visibly blocked and dripping on the seated areas outside. The inside was messy and the view straight into the kitchen area wasn’t impressive. The staff member and dog combo just didn’t look appealing when serving food. It feels like the whole place needs a thorough scrub and the outside area needs some attention. And maybe some consideration to hygiene. I would say that complacency has crept in a little.

Excellent and friendly service. The Banana, maple and pecan cake is exemplary.

This place is a must-go for me and my wife. Staff are wonderful and attentive. Coffee is sublime and the cakes...if you don't leave with one or aren't leaving full from having one, you have made a mistake. Go and visit these amazing people and they're fantastic coffee shop.

This is a very special place. Charming, welcoming staff, dog friendly (they give free dog treats), the best coffee I've ever had in the UK, and reasonably priced compared to high street chains. I didn't buy any of the cakes but they look incredible - homemade and huge slices. There are some interesting milk options for vegetarians. The Nakd snack bars are delicious. The location of the cafe is another plus - in beautiful Vivary Park. The inside is cosy and there are benches in a covered area outside overlooking a childrens' playground. Will definitely visit more regularly after this,

Lovely little cafe with a great drinks selection and delicious food (you'll be spoilt for choice with cakes etc). Love that you offer such a variety of dairy alternatives with hot drinks! The staff were really friendly too.

Just arrived - checked before I left home, they would be open said 10am to 4pm. When we are over asked at 10.40 if they Were opening (as on line states you are ), had a blunt no not yet May be 10 minutes time - but as I walked away heard a for fffff sake Sorry we are trying to support local people Very disappointed in friendliness and attitude

I visit daily to get my oat milk latte, working from home it gives me the perfect excuse to treat myself to lovely food and drink. The staffs customer service is excellent and they truly have opened my eyes to the great taste of vegan cakes. Thank you girls x

This is a delightful cafe run by lovely staff. It's good to see they are so busy and made it through the terrible time businesses have had in the last year. Love your Rocky road and free doggy treats.

Me and my partner bought ourselves a drink,I bought a slice of cake,as I was eating my cake I bit down on what felt like a hard peice of plastic,as i pulled it out of my mouth,to my horror it was a dark red false...

I decided to try a slice of cake today.as I was eating it,I felt something hard and plastic between my teeth as I bit down...I then pulled out a dark red peice of plastic,on closer inspection I realised to my horror it was a false nail embedded in the cake ,one of the ladies working recognised it as her own nail.they both apologised,but not using gloves while making food for consumption is absolutely disgusting!!!!

We can’t walk by without going in for a hot drink and a lovely cake. This little cafe is very well run and always busy which in its self says a lot. A great asset to this wonderful park.

A very lovely friendly place to go for a coffee, staff are lovely and cakes are amazing, during my stay in hospital I popped in morning and afternoon for a drink, best coffee shop ever.

So pleased to have this great coffee outlet open again - if only as a take away. Always great coffee - and usually cakes, though limited at the moment by COVID restrictions. Very welcoming, friendly hosts.

Thanks Coffee Station for your 1st year birthday party last evening. How thoughtful to have done a party for your customers. The homemade spread you presented (vegan & vegetarian) was delicious. Those vegan sausage rolls, you need to make more and that enormous birthday cake wonderful. And to raise money for MIND very thoughtful. The Chilled atmosphere great and dogs get treats too and don't they know it. Good luck in your next year . Oh and when's the next Chilli night Bridie your vegan chilli and Amy's vegan enchiladas the best. Shame you can't sell icecream but I understand that was part of your agreement , but then the icecream van can't sell drinks so keeps everyone happy. Thanks Girls.

I visited today with a 2 year old for tea and cake. We sat immediately outside the main entrance. To my surprise, the customer next to me lit up a cigarette. Upon querying this with the proprietor I was informed “we can’t really stop people...

What an amazing place to find in the park . So welcoming . Run by lovely, friendly and professional girls. Great food and coffee at reasonable prices. Dog friendly ...my cocker spaniel loves his visits too.

As an all vegetarian/vegan cafe it ticks many boxes for me. The staff are super friendly and make every visit a welcoming experience. The wraps are 10/10 especially the falafel and houmous! A really nice way to end a lovely walk around Vivary Park.

Came here by chance today after the Sunday jazz concert. Enjoyed excellent coffee and caramel shortbread. Cheerful service, even though it was well after the advertised closing time. Will definitely revisit - it deserves to succeed. (NB The location shown on the Tripadvsior map is incorrect - this is at the far end of the park, next to the playground. And do not confuse it with the Vivary Centre cafe in Wilton Grounds, which is not recommended.)
