Quantock Restaurant, Somerset College in Taunton Deane

The students are amazing - totally professional yet cheerful and helpful [we were a dozen older ladies]. I had told the college that it was a 'big birthday' and they laid on complimentary canapes and petit fours, and decorated the table - lovely touches. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The young serving staff were unfailingly polite. What a lovely evening!

I was one of a group of almost 40 from a food and wine society. The restaurant is smart and modern since being acquired by Bridgwater & Taunton College, with a view of the kitchen if you're facing the right way. The restaurant prepared a bespoke menu for us, from which we made our choices prior to the event. There was a choice of 4 starters, 4 main courses and 4 desserts, followed by coffee/tea and festive petits fours. Everyone appeared to be of the same opinion: the food quality, quantity and the way it was served was superb. Everything was 'home-made', even little chocolate gems, vanilla ice cream, mince pies (of course) and the various sauces accompanying the different dishes. I can't wait to return!

My only regret is that I haven’t tried here sooner! This was my first visit here since the restaurant has moved and I loved it. From the decor, to the kitchen being on show, it was all a much higher standard than I had imagined! The menu had a lovely creative selection, the staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. We all had a great evening, thank-you. (The coffee brûlée was the best I have ever tasted!) It was also lovely to see a college offering a program to train students to be ready for their chosen profession in industry and it actually feeling real and such a high standard being achieved.

I have just got back from a meal at The Quantock Restaurant with a group of 5 friends. We arrived and found there were two huge groups already seated, possibly 70 Ladies. We ordered and our meals arrived fairly promptly, however, my turkey meal had over cooked potatoes, my friends were so black she sent them back. The separate veg dish was also over cooked. The desserts were fine, however when it came to coffee, mine was luke warm, I asked for more to warm it up, but that again wasn’t hot, so I left it. The staff were very pleasant, the new layout looks good, however we probably picked the wrong night.

Three of us went for lunch on a Wednesday. It was a really lovely 3 course meal. we could not fault the service or the food. Everything was perfectly cooked, at a reasonable price. Can't wait to go back. They serve coffee and cake in the morning and have gourmet evenings

Had a lovely three course meal , service excellent and food very tasty and creative. Price outstanding for the quality and type of dining experience you get. I have eaten in many five star restaurants and the food is on par.

Just enjoyed a 5 course gourmet night. The food and service was outstanding and we all had a thoroughly enjoyable night (at an extremely reasonable price!). I would highly recommend it to anyone in the vicinity.

Comida deliciosa en Somerset Colegios y estudiantes hospitalidad catering. Excelente servicio y todo esto de aprendices. Increíble relación calidad-precio de £17. 00 para una categoría verdaderamente top 3 platos. Éramos un grupo celebrando un cumpleaños. El lugar estaba lleno, cosa que lo dice todo. Se lo recomiendo 100%!

Fuimos con un grupo de amigos para un pre-cena de Navidad un jueves por la noche. Esta fue una visita de regreso porque la comida y el servicio son geniales, así como tener una excelente relación calidad-precio. Había una selección de cuatro entrantes, cuatro platos principales incluyendo comida vegetariana, cuatro pudines, así como té, café y mince pies. Todo esto por 16 libras y con un excelente servicio. Me había salmón ahumado y gambas ensalada con un rollo de Granary, seguido de pavo asado y todos los adornos seguido de pudín de Navidad. Mi marido tenía rojo cebolla Tatín, pechuga flambée" de carne con puré y salsa Pommeœuf bourgignon Roulade (seguido de chocolate y frambuesa. Los platos principales con patacas chirivías, zanahorias y coles con castañas. Si usted no daba abasto con los tres campos que podría haber dos por 13 libras o sólo uno por £9. Le dan a este restaurante una oportunidad, no es necesario esperar hasta la próxima Navidad ya que está abierto en varias ocasiones durante todo el año.

Fui al restaurante para un trabajo almuerzo de Navidad. Esta es mi segunda visita al Quantock restaurante y fue vibrante y lleno de gente, pero el servicio y la calidad de la comida era sublime. Tuve la calabaza Butternut picante seguido de merluza ventana enorme. Mis amigos tenían el almuerzo de Turquía que también estaba bien presentada y deliciosa. Las verduras eran abundantes. La comida fue presentada y servida con una calidad excepcional. Recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar tanto para el almuerzo como para la cena.

Oí hablar de este restaurante de boca en boca. Mi marido encontró que estaban haciendo una noche de gourmet, así que hicimos averiguaciones. Nos enviaron el menú y no nos dimos cuenta de que habíamos probado algunos de los artículos antes y Dudamos un poco hasta que vimos el precio. intentando codornices, alcachofa, samphire rémol por 15 libras! ¿Qué más se puede pedir? El servicio era sencillo y amable, la comida era muy buena. En especial me encantaron los mini cóctel gratuito de sorpresa retro y dulces. No me puedo quejar de la noche. Incluso la rehabilitación oncológica era genial, mi tarjeta de dinero en efectivo fue encontrado en el suelo y el gerente del restaurante en contacto conmigo, y enviado a mí. Sin duda comer aquí de nuevo. Bien hecho a un equipo joven y profesional.

The service could be better and the staff could be friendlier the breakfast staff at least do smile, the service and the food changes from one day to another and not always for the better the evening food is generally good but portions can be small depending of the dish but a very good wine selection

Un grupo de nosotros visitamos El Quantock restaurante para una cena temprana de Navidad. Fue estupendo y sin duda la mejor comida del período festivo que he tenido. Yo tenía sopa, Turquía y "modernilla" soufflé parsnip. Mi marido tenía salmón, venado y Navidad pudding además un cóctel gratis. pescado y una opción vegetariana también estaban en el menú. £16,50 te da una excelente cena de tres platos y con una copa de vino de alrededor de £2- £3 es una excelente relación calidad-precio, teniendo en cuenta la alta calidad. Este restaurante está abierto al público en ciertos momentos los chefs de aprendiz en el colegio puede mostrar sus habilidades. No creo que esto es una cantina típica. El diseño, el servicio y la comida son excelentes y los jóvenes personal entusiasta. Bien hecho todo el mundo!
