A group of 14 of us went here for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I had booked it in advance as it was part of a few days away for us all. Herman was great in sorting things out including opening specially as we had to change the date. Between us I think we had everything on the menu and everyone was very complimentary of the food, wine, service and location. Portion sizes were good and prices very reasonable. Herman and his staff made us feel very welcome and helped make it a memorable evening for us. I would recommend this place without reservation.

Flavours is back with a bang, so happy to have this wonderful restaurant back. We popped in on the opening night and had the tuna and halloumi starters with the pork souvlaki gyros and lamb tagine, all were absolutely fantastic. Lovely, unpretentious little restaurant serving excellent food including a wide vegan range (need to order in advance). Only downside seems to be that Herman the cook is about to move to a different restaurant, so we'll need to see how much of the great experience reflected him, and how much reflected Flavours. As it was though, really glad we got to enjoy it.

Chock-a block-tonight for very last night of Flavours opening. Absolutely delicious turkish starters in quantity, followed by melting slow cooked lamb. The Shiraz again first class. A short way along the Taunton Road from the centre of Wellington you will find a very modest looking establishment - don't be fooled - you will receive a warm welcome into the small restaurant by friendly and professional staff, excellent service and the most delicious food. four of us went on a Saturday night - it was difficult to choose what to eat for all sounded gorgeous - and was! Two of us had the pate, one the tomato and mozzerella salad and I had a tower of beautiful fresh crab followed by megrim sole, my friends' lamb cutlets were just the right shade of pink, likewise the duck breast, the pork tenderloin very tasty - all served with a selection of interesting vegetables. We shall have to go back to sample all! Unfortunately we were too full to try the puddings - all sounded utterly scrumptious.

My great friends, one vegan, the other pescatarian, have raved about Flavours since they moved into the area. Herman is the man. Tonight I joined them, me a confirmed flexivore with definite carnivore leanings. It really is unusual to find an unpretentious restaurant in a market town able to cater for three distinct tastes but cater they did. Wonderful food without the hint of a cater firm lorry in any of their ingredients came beautifully presented. It’s not an extensive menu and that is the clue to success. The vast choice merchants have to buy in their food whereas here you knew everything was cooked from original individual ingredients. Herman is truly heroic, able to think on his feet and offer some extra variations to suit.

We stumbled across flavours when looking for somewhere to eat in Wellington, it was a dark October evening yesterday flavours looked warm and welcoming. As soon as we stepped inside we felt welcome, the owner couldn't do more to make us comfortable. He explained his menu and offered a couple of specials, which he tailored to our requirements. Most of us ordered the chicken special which was delicious. The accompanying sauce (and extra on the side) was velvety smooth and full of flavour. The chicken had crispy skin whilst remaining moist and the dauphinois potatoes were the perfect mix of garlic and cream without being overpowering. Dessert was just as mouthwatering. This truly was one of the best restaurant meals I have ever eaten, a real gem of a find. I will definitely return next time I am in Wellington.

Our first time at Herman's restaurant and certainly not the last. Herman is a true chef, born of enthusiasm, experience and wide ranging culinary skills. We had the duck and turbot and both dishes were served in a professional manner by the waitress and eaten with relish. They were both tasty and effusive in those special flavours that only a real chef can incorporate in his cooking. Wonderful. The wines were superb but the desserts lacked the same flair and interest of the main courses. However not unusual in a good chef!! It is difficult to be good at everything - but perhaps a little more 'excitement' in the dessert choices might compensate for any lack in quality!Altogether a great meal. Anyone who lives in the area must take advantage of this wonderful local asset. Like any business today they need our support if they are to grow and flourish. Don't waste such a gem in our area!Thank you Herman and the lovely waitress!!Jeff

An intimate restaurant with an owner chef at the helm. The food is outstandingly good and for a small place like Wellington this place is a huge asset to the town. They took a pre order so that everything was organised on the night and the service was seamless, it's a well oiled operation, but you are made to feel special. The Chef owner came out to chat to diners and his regulars love him that's very clear. He was making suggestions for them that he thought they would enjoy. I was in a party of girls away for the weekend and we were all dressed as Nuns... quite a sight in Wellington, but the restaurant team and other diners were really good spirited about it. Across the 12 of us there wasn't one person would didn't adore their meal, personally I had the lamb and it was cooked to perfection. It's no wonder this is top of the ratings.

We are a family split between the two counties of Devon and Somerset and needed to book somewhere to celebrate a special birthday. It was all a bit last minute and needed somewhere in the middle for travelling. I used Google to search and Flavours came up with great TripAdvisor reviews. I contacted Herman (owner and chef) we were looking at 17th December for 12 people and weren't confident that anywhere could fit us on let alone such a popular place. Herman confirmed almost immediately that he could fit us in and was very patient with the menu choosing process prior to the evening. One of our party is gluten intolerant and Herman had no issue with that he just adapted the menu choice and bought GF biscuits for cheese etc. Herman welcomed us all and again didn't panic when the birthday girl was late. The food was fantastic and beautifully presented and it made a change to have some more unusual dishes to choose from. Herman and his staff were absolutely wonderful during the evening and we were so impressed with everything. I would DEFINITELY recommend Flavours to anyone looking for beautifully cooked and lovingly presented food. It was an absolute treat and very reasonably priced. Thank you Herman.

Our third visit for dinner at Flavours (in the last three years) was in October 2016. As previously, the food was incredibly good. We took an older relative who lives in Wellington and had not eaten there. She was overwhelmed by how good the food was. We enjoyed Hake and Sea Bass, followed by ice creams and sorbets. The blood orange sorbet was incredible. The owner is very co-operative and it is best to ring in advance so that he can better fit your meal into his very busy schedule. But the results have always been excellent.

It's a average meal but no atmosphere.Lots of people like it but we thought it was like someone's dining room from the 70s or 80s.Needs pepping up!!!Can't recommend it

Great food and the owner was really friendly and offered a full menu. I had the Duck which was fantastic. If passing through Wellington again I would certainly make a return visit.

We had lunch here on a Sunday when many restaurants in the area are closed.Everything is cooked fresh to order and nothing is too much trouble. If you like fresh fish there are often fish dishes available or you can pre order as we did. The restaurant is smart and confortable with parking near by. We will return soon!

Really excellent food and a very attentive proprietor who had gone out of his way to create a vegan meal for us. It is a shame that wetherspoons up the road appears to be taking business because this type of independent restaurant with an experienced staff is so much nicer. Really worth a visit.

Our return visit after some months break did not disappoint; my pigeon breast starter was perfectly cooked, an honourable and enjoyable end for this pest. Our fish was lovely with the cream sauce option, including some excellent baby carrots; my wife had a good chunk of hake, my sea bass were spot on. Desserts were beautifully presented, shame to disturb - didn't know pansy flowers are edible. Chef Herman was kept busy but still found time to chat with all the diners, while serving staff was very efficient and friendly. House wine was decent quality, a good test. Excellent.

Visiting Wellington for the first time with family it was very welcome to find this restaurant where the owner takes dietary requirements seriously and pays great attention to detail. There was also plenty of choice for those without special diets. We received a warm welcome. The staff were all pleasant and attentive. The servings are generous! Well done Herman.
