The best restaurants in South Somerset South West

We had the wake for my son here and it was just wonderful. The food was really lovely, they were so obliging and nothing was too much trouble. I can highly recommend The Trough for any event or just a coffee to take in the fantastic views. We can't thank them enough for their hospitality.

This became one of my cafe hideouts while working in Yeovil. Can't go wrong with the products of Nero. Possible to sit out in warmer weather, but the view isn't exactly inspiring, which isn't their fault.

Deb the owner very friendly felt more like home from home. Rooms clean but small. Hotel does have steps to rooms. Food excellent with good menu. Breakfast good too. Well stocked bar for small hotel

Went for the lunch time meal deal of fish, chips, buttered bread and a cup of tea. Just lovely, chips were really crispy and so was the batter on the fish.

Well pleased with my food beef chow mein lovely and beef ginger & spring onion sauce nice and sweet. Spring rolls as appetiser great definitely recommend.

Wonderful village pub , regular live music , a monthly quiz and multiple screens for all live sports

Just had a house mixed grill delivered absolutely outstanding. Immense amount of meat separate bowl of salad superb meal best £20 spent all day ♥️♥️♥️👍🫡

Expecting a decent lunch, but only sandwiches and sausage rolls available, so we had lovely, home made cheese scones, but the coffee was only luke warm and insipid.

We called in for a drink whilst out walking and found it to be a very good place. Nice little village, too. Good beers at a sensible price, a proper games room with a pool table, darts, and skittles. If we get in the area again, we would go again. Give it a go if you are visiting the area. I didn't rate the food as we didn't eat.

Excellent breakfast really enjoyed it. Lovely staff welcoming Stuart’s cafe. It was a nice and friendly space. Set use up very nicely for the day.

Super service, fast attentive, friendly. The waiters are all really quick and the boss is everywhere Food also very good

Cheesy chips are amazing but could do with putting more cheese on as standard!
