Best takeaway in yeovil will not go anywhere else now

Food has arrived hot everytime and tasted superb by far the best Chinese around !

Won't order again , chicken balls were warm and sauce was cold , egg fried rice was dry and chips were to over cooked.

Food absolutely lovely! Made a massive order this evening over £100, everything was hot, all the order was correct and had a few freebies! Thank you.!

First time we have used this Chinese. Staff were polite and friendly when we arrived and there is a good selection on the menu. Food was good quality and we will definitely be returning in the future.

Enn and Ken (owners) have done a great job in taking over this takeaway. Could not have been easy as people know what the like and like what they know. Some people cannot handle change, however, personally, I feel the move from town was a great move for them, and the food is exceptional. We are Massive fans. And love the food and service provided by them.

Called up this evening to order some food. After my call was answered I asked if I could order food for collection please. I was greeted with the response ‘yeah why else would I be stood around answering the phone’ ‘can I take a name please’ After leaving my name I again had ‘I’m not stood around for nothing’ I then asked, ‘are you getting chopsy and talking to me?’ Lady replied with ‘yeah just having one of those days’ To which I hung up the phone. Will never ever use again. Very very rude. Avoid.

1 Star for the delivery service… read the delivery note!! Quote “DO NOT USE THE DOOR BELL call my mobile” Thanks for using it anyway, waking the baby and now the food is cold 👍🏼 enjoyed the extra long press as well 🤦🏻‍♂️ £50 for not a lot of cold food, a woken baby and a p**sed misses. Cheers.

After more than 10 years having nice food from Golden Vally things have changed, For the first time I called to complain that the food was awful and only fit for the bin. Expecting a refund they offered me 20% of my next order (joke) but I ain’t laughing. Told me the manager was not there and they would call me back (not). Till old chef comes back STAY CLEAR

RECENTLY BEEN TAKEN OVER AND NOW TERRIBLE !!! After this evening we won’t be ordering from here again . We have used this place for years and have never had a bad meal and it has always been delivered on time but recently it has been taken over and it has totally fallen apart since . We placed an order tonight and the person answering the phone was very abrupt and rude and just didn’t seem to understand , she was having a full on argument that sounded very aggressive with someone who I suspect is the new owners in the background and she eventually slammed the phone down. ( this was not the original woman who has been on the phone for years as she has always been brilliant) After the woman on the phone changed her mind twice on how long it would be , we waited, nothing arrived…… we called again ( after trying 15 times to get through) and the same woman couldn’t find our order and took it again whilst having another full on shouting match with someone , when I asked how long she again rudely said she would check and call back in 3 minutes… again no call back !!!!! On the 3rd time of calling she said she had no order and was rude again and asked for my order ! I asked to speak to the original front of house lady who was very apologetic but said she would take the order for the 4th time but it would be at least another 1/2 hour……. We gave up at this point and cooked ourselves. The new owners are going to lose every customer they have if they treat them like this !!!!!!! Looking at the other review from tonight maybe it’s best it didn’t turn up as they were sick after eating their food and again experienced the full on aggressive shouting when they complained !!!!!!! Strongly advise to avoid this place .

Both my father and I have used this Chinese for over 15 years. Never had a bad one. But there is new management. Today we had the same order we have had the whole time going. We got home started it and both felt violently ill. I put the rest of mine back in the tub (the other bit down the toilet). I went back there to complain and ask for a £19.20 refund. Well, I was abused, I was called a lier, I was accused of being a drunk and that I had been drinking and just wanted money back for what I couldn't eat. The new employee was brought to tears and felt the need to offer the refund out of her own money. Other employees told the manager that I was a regular and had never come back to complain before. While I was there other customers were coming in about being given the wrong food or delivery orders that had never arrived. My father then came to the Chinese aswell (I thought to check I was ok as didn't have my phone and had been gone a long time). No! It was to say that he had been violently sick as well. When I questioned the manager if the temperature of the beef was checked. She yelled at me and went to get a meat thermometer out of a cupboard (no where near the cooking area). She blew the dust off it and waved it in my face as well as 2 cooking certificates. I think trading standards and environmental health would like to find out what is happening there. Selling multipack drinks on their own for example. As well as food sitting for at least 40 mins which is what was happening as I was originally waiting for mine. I asked for an email address for the owner. This was written on the back of a piece of paper that had someones name, address and phone number on. After being shouted at and abused I definitely will not be risking a return. I beg that whomever reads this to also not RISK a visit and you are chancing being very ill. Edit: I will add to this part as and when I remember things that also happened The manager refused a refund because I was breaking the law by not returning all of the food. I said we had to eat some to go from this doesn't taste great ( something we can put up with) to I'm going to be ill. The manager asked me, and I am swearing to god's honest truth, to bring her the sick to show her we hadn't just eaten it. She told me to get it out of the already ( obviously) flushed toilet.

What once was our favourite takeaway. Has now become the worst. Food was far too salty, and when we rang too ask if the receipe had changed the new owners were incredibly rude to there front of house. I feel incredibly sad for the poor lass in the front of house as she has always been incredibly helpful and kind, shame the new owners can't follow suit.

Shocking. Ordered salt & pepper chilli chips. Well... got normal chips that tasted reheated. & tubs that food was in looked very dusty & dirty. Think it's time food hygiene went to this place. Food was really tasteless & dry

Wouldn't even give this place 1 star. Appalling customer service when complaining, being told they're too busy to accept complaints because there will be others complaining... Food arrived after 1 hour 35 minutes after being told it would be 45 minutes, unfortunately the food was cold and tasted as though it was from the day before and reheated. Chewy batter on the chicken balls and spring rolls were also chewy. Wouldn't recommend and certainly won't be ordering from here again.

Absolutely shocking! After being told the wait was 45 minutes, we waited an hour and a half. Had to phone 3 times, spoke to the rude owner who just told us to take the food back to them because it arrived cold! Very disappointed in the fact we were only offered 10% off our next order as compensation.. needless to say they won't be receiving another order from us! Food also tasted like it had been reheated already, very dry and stodgy. Also our friends found a prawn in with their chicken dish, luckily nobody has a shellfish allergy!!

Brilliaint chinese weve been there many times they have a special bitton on there machine as wife has chowmein no noodles

Comprehensive menu with fab food in great size portions

Have been getyong food from here for over 15 years and have always rated it highly. However in recent months it has gone down hill and the food is below it's original standard. It's quite greasy and has caused myself and others i know to have had dubious bowel movements through the night and have felt sick. I don't believe it's food poisoning and have never heard of anyone having that. In short the food is ok but not as good as previously.

Best place for sausage and chips so far. Chips weren't oily and were freshly made. Delivery was faster than expected with a polite driver.

There was no golden valley as promised. Now allow me to make a complaint as you will not when I enter your merchandise store: One duck was covered in grease and was stupid. Two men attacked me and my family with naughty language. The three slippery noodles and the fool who gave us the noodles were blind and sad. duck urine Five foods that make me sick and my ass have diarrhea And in the end, I got extremely hurt and had to go to the hospital. Don't advise me to stay away from chicken curry.
