The best restaurants in South Somerset South West

Spent 2 nights at the dolphin and again it didn’t disappoint. Breakfast was great and so much choice, rooms good and the staff very friendly 👍

Possibly the cleanest brightest toilets I've ever been in. Wow !

Does anyone know if the old owners have a new kebab in the area shop? This place is a shadow of its former self; the portion size is a lot smaller; the quality of the diner is horrendous and when you throw in the curt and dismissive attitude of the man serving, it is not a place I shall be returning to.

Sunday roast was lovely in a nice decorated interior

Tried this resturant on a Monday evening first visit. Found the establishment to be clean and welcoming.you have to bring your own Alchol but a shop just down the road. They will give you a class and bottle opener which is nice. . In regard the food really nice well presented throughly enjoyed the evening thank you

We have been to this lovely place a few times now and love the quality and quantity of their food, all dished up with great service. This time we stopped off for breakfast and then headed to the haynes motor museum and when we finished there, we made our way back down again for our lunch/dinner at this wonderfull place. WE LOOK FOREWARD TO OUR NEXT VISIT. KEEP UP THE HARD GREAT WORK.

Used to visit this place when I lived just around the corner, for the price and quality of food it can’t be beaten such friendly and good service, recommended!!

Great food, brilliant atmosphere

Recent meal here. Dined in. The meal was ok, definitely not the best, but also not the worst Indian food I have had. The chicken in my curry was a little dry and hard, bhaji overcooked. It tasted nice though and I ate it all. Fairly unfriendly staff on duty, whilst attentive it felt like I wasn't particularly welcome. Atmosphere not great.

Great resting place on the A303. Great parking and ideal place to rest or pop in the cafe for a superb meal or snack. Love it.

This is my wife's internet friend's regulal place. So we came here for a lunch, which broke our five hour drive. As she is regular here, we all ate low priced seniors menus. My fish'n'chips was total bullseye and my wife's hunter's chicken really good! They have also nice variety of beers and ciders - though not a printed list. Probably I had chosen another one, if I had seen some clear list. Mine was slight dissapointment, there were better alternatives. That I realized only when going out. However, nice lunch on reasonable price.

Busy busy busy late Tuesday afternoon which is great to see

A nice looking pub in a tranquil location. Even though the place was not full, the staff was unnecessarily rushed. The food was average. I wish the preparation and delivery of food matches the effort and skill that goes into presenting their offering on website. Unfortunately, I found a yawning gap between the promise and delivery. I don't recommend it and and will not revisit.
