We have been to this lovely place a few times now and love the quality and quantity of their food, all dished up with great service. This time we stopped off for breakfast and then headed to the haynes motor museum and when we finished there, we made our way back down again for our lunch/dinner at this wonderfull place. WE LOOK FOREWARD TO OUR NEXT VISIT. KEEP UP THE HARD GREAT WORK.

My wife and I stayed for 2 night, expecting evening meals and breakfast as we were visiting Wells and Bath and Yeovil . I think it was a lovely pub at one time but not now. It did no food closed most nights , we visited other pubs for our meals very disappointing stay and would not recommend anyone to stay I think it will possibly close down very shortly.

Had a tasty cod, chips and peas dinner at the Naval Volunteer Inn, Seavington St Michael on Saturday. I think it was both cooked and served by the landlady who was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a new beer (to me): a galss of Tornado from The Windy Brewing Company

After owing thousands of pounds in rent to my very patient dad who gave him multiple chances, the owner of Riverside Cafe Ilminster, Ethan Parker was rightly asked to leave the premises. This is how he left the building, still owing thousands. He’s moving his “business” to Axminster very soon under a new name. If you happen to be a landlord in that area then do be aware. Do not trust this extremely immature boy.

We visited the Queens Arms for lunch, with good friends, for the second time on Thursday 22nd August. It was very good when we visited last year. On this occasion we were asked whether everything was OK and I had to say that it wasn't and to explain that OK simply wasn't an accurate description. It was hugely better than OK. The food was really good. A shortish but really interesting Menu. Clearly quality ingredients really well put together on the plate. Indeed impeccably presented. And we were looked after by enthusiastic and seriously friendly staff. We arrived for lunch shortly before our 12h30 booking. We left at about 15h45!! It felt like we were eating in a quality restaurant in France, Italy or Spain. And whilst the Desserts didn't arrive quickly that was a bonus. It allowed us to continue talking and to continue enjoying sitting in the lovely ambience of this cracking establishment. We very much hope to return and unreservedly woukd recommend the Queens Arms. It wasn't cheap but it was definitely value for the money that we spent. And the Pistachio and Olive Oil Cake with fresh raspberries accompanied by a lovely tart raspberry sorbet and delightful white chocolate nibbles (they were called something else on the menu) was the best Dessert I have had in quite some time.

Very nice meal I had a neck of lamb and colleagues had steak and chips, very well prepared and staff attentive

Nice enough - husband really liked, I was less enamoured. Can't complain about portion size, if anything far too generous. Shop could do with looking a bit nicer (do you want to eat food from somewhere which, in the public areas, has gaffer tape on the benches and posters/cards for events that happened months ago?) I'd visit again, but only if I was hungry/it was raining heavily and didn't fancy walking a bit further from home.

Now called sues orientalist Kitchen. Friendly staff and accommodated my request to have a pho style noodle dish with prawns and veg. Was offered few stale crackers whilst I waited. Prawns were good size but shells left on so difficult to take shells off as was so hot in soup. Also not deveined so could not eat them. Noodles weren’t the best. Flavour was adequate with fresh veg but the fresh sliced chilli was clearly not fresh. Despite being lunch time had a table of 4 who clearly were regulars and another couple also who clearly knew the owner. Was not offered a drink however equally I did not ask. £7.99 for quite good portion but sadly couldn’t eat it. Shame as the owner was really lovely .

A delightful location in a delightful village… but looks can be deceptive. Step inside and the greeting is terribly rude and unwelcoming. I wouldn’t venture in there again.

Loved the location, service was good, not too impressed with the lunch , didn't realise there would be mozzarella in my toasties so was a bit salty for me , my partner liked the pesto toastie
