Excellent pub with great food and dog friendly. Just watch for your dog going for the copious, poisonous-to-dogs chewing gum stuck under all of the tables!

Always enjoy visiting Cooper’s Mill. Friendly helpful staff and tasty food. The quiz nights are good fun too.

I had the turkey beef duo ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. Hubby had the lamb shank was very impressed. Jacob, Beth and Jade friendly polite and attentive. Lovely atmosphere will be back again.

Friday karaoke, great atmosphere and drinks are not too badly priced

The Katsu curry is the best pub meal around and I would highly recommend. Decent for watching football and they allow dogs too!👍

Chose to book our Christmas works meal at the Coopers for the first time this year and we were not disappointed! The food was plentiful, hot and very tasty. The staff were amazing, so attentive. Darrell the manager was fabulous and made us all feel so comfortable. We all highly recommend this pub and I can’t wait to visit again. Thank you all.

Often pop into this pub on my commute to visit family. Usually have a meal but sometimes just a coffee to have a break from driving. Food is always fantastic with great service and staff are very welcoming. The landlord is great with customers and looks forward to our stops. Thanks to all involved with the pub and look forward to seeing you all soon.

The service is 10 out of10 and the food is amazing i had the pork belly special from the the presentation to the tast 10 out of 10 plus the pub is dog friendly i will definitely be coming hear again food and drinks are a great price as well also had a few game's of pool met the manager Darryl as well what a wonderful chap

Saw 2 plates come out in 40 minutes of waiting for our food. Then asked where ours was. Told 10 minutes. 15 minutes later it appears. Bang average food, not worth the wait. Skin on the hunters chicken from the microwave i assume

Went for a birthday on early Sunday evening , we decided to have a roast which was very disappointing, the potatoes were inedible to be honest peas and Carrott were the veg little disappointed to be truthful would rather you said you were out of roast than given us dried left overs for £14,49 not value for money at all . The toilets were a disgusting to be honest. Would not be using this pub again nor recommending it. Times are hard these businesses need to up their A game for sure ...

Brilliant Sunday lunch best one I've had while eating out for a long time. The food was tasty and fresh. Yorkshire puds were amazing that real praise from a Yorkshire lass The food was hot normally when you eat out its warm... See you tonight as we are coming back.

Tried to have a meal but there was a disco.

Booked family lunch asked for " not near TV and not near toilet. On avivail entered via doors from rear car park, this is by the toilets. Toilet smells where so obvious and not pleasant. Our table was at the top of the stairs to the toilet but fortunately not an obvious smell. One of our ladies had to use the toilet and advised it was very unpleasant. The overriding smell going down the stairs was even worse on entering the actual toilets, they were not clean and one not usable as toilet seat was broken. The men adviced theirs was just as unpleasant. On a positive the food and service could not be faulted and felt welcome and relaxed. Why can't the toilets men and women's not be careful looked after, correct cleaning be conducted to avoid the disgusting smell which not just affected the actual toilets but the entrance and stairwell. Please do not be put off attending, that's not my intention. Just for the owners and management to get this resolved, in this day and age of a wide variety of products to ensure health and safety it should be an easy fix. Thanks for a good meal and service for team do you credit.

Have been going here most weeks for a family meal for the last year or so, and never have we had a bad experience - the service is great with friendly staff (notably Michael and Dylan) and the food is always delicious. Highly recommend

Sadly we won't be returning. We booked a table of 8 for 1pm New years eve. Nobody came with menus or took a drink order until 1.20pm, we were then told that food would be 40 mins due to how busy they were. We ordered drinks and a few packets of crisps to keep 4 very hungry kids happy whilst waiting for the food. No mixed grill available (fair enough it's busy). At 1.50pm I asked how much longer for food, we were told after they checked with the kitchen it would be 10mins. At 2.15pm we went to the bar to check again. After 10 mins stood at the bar waiting to be acknowledged (2 people behind the bar helping 1 person) we eventually were seen and asked again how long. After another trip to the kitchen we were told another 10 mins. We made the decision to leave at this point, the lady behind the bar just said "ok we will get you a refund " no apology, no trying to reassure us....nothing. We said we hadn't paid anything as yet, to be told oh OK then. We then left again with no apology or any want to keep us there. Very disappointed with the lack of service, especially after we had visited earlier this year and thought how lovely it was. The food then was great and nothing was any trouble. Sadly we won't be returning in the future.

Was there for Christmas Meal, not impressed. The taste of food very bland, the portion small as for children only roast was quite normal size. We couldn't enjoy that meal as was too crowded and too loudly as we sat next to sounders. Not recommended as restaurant for a meal.

Easy parking, dog friendly, service very efficient and helpful. It's that festive period when it all goes to Turkey and Tinsel. My burger was the strangest odd concoction you could ever dream up including a Yorkshire puddle and pigs in blankets, could have even been pulled turkey on top. The lemon tart was the best thing on the dessert menu, l fancied the chocolate Fondant but the mincemeat was a step too far coming in at 700 calories. My wife had a steak which always a mistake, a rare steak was over cooked to very well done. The loo, bathroom is 2 floors down so beware.

Love this pub, can't fault it. The Sunday lunch is very nice too

A nice place to hang out with besties

We were a large group of 21 and the staff were fantastic - very attentive and excellent organisation of food coming out. Their can do attitude was fantastic and much appreciated by the group. Their food was also very good - everyone left with full tummies. We even enjoyed a Christmas carol sing song at the end which everyone in the pub joined in with. The best Christmas so that our line dance club has ever had!

Great value for money, But what really stood out for me was the guy who served us, he was fab! Customer service really does make a different. I didn't get his name unfortunately but it amazed me how he was taking orders from big tables and not making notes, he literally memorised it all. We need more nice guys like him in our pubs!

Had lunch with hubby and friends last week. Food was lovely and they happily accommodated requested changes to one meal. Relaxed atmosphere and we had plenty of time to chat, not feeling rushed.

The best Roast Dinner in Yeovil! 😍

Had a Sunday roast there, the lamb shank, and it was excellent. The meat fell off the bone, the roast potatoes were crispy and the veg was nice. Really nice meal, friendly staff and I'll be back.

This is a nice pub, near the town centre. It has a very good selection of drinks on offer, outside seating, televisions, and a pool table. Food is your typical chain type affair but very reasonable, tasty, and good portion sizes.

Amazing place. Always get such good service here. 3 out of 4 of us wanted a jacket potato, which is on the menu as a side, not main, but Darryl was happy to do us jacket potatoes as a main with beans,cheese and side salad.. also the pub only has coke on tap but Darryl kindly gave me a Pepsi from his own stash in replace of the coke (I’m not a coke fan)… Darryl, you are the best!

Very friendly and welcoming pub. What makes it even better is they make the effort to make sure my little one is all catered for too! Bring the highchair to the table, talking to her throughout and providing entertainment means for an enjoyable meal for all three of us! Proper pub grub too! I recently visited Coopers Mill and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. From the moment we arrived, Manager Darrell ensured we felt welcome and well taken care of. He was attentive and personable, making sure every detail of our visit was perfect. The food was outstanding, thanks to Chef Danielle, who brought creativity and skill to each dish. Every course was beautifully presented and delicious, with flavors that truly made an impression. It's clear she has a passion for her craft, and it shows in the quality and taste of each plate. Overall, Coopers Mill is a fantastic place to enjoy a memorable meal. With excellent service from Darrell and exceptional food from Danielle, it’s a spot I’d highly recommend. Looking forward to my next visit!

V friendly staff amazing food and the BEST ONION RINGS IN YEOVIL

Have previously been as visit from Frome to family in Yeovil. We do like the senior menu as portions suit us but was told after our last visit that the senior menu would be changing in September but that has not happened. Would be nice if there was more variation. Sure you would get many more ‘seniors’ visiting as enough food and good price.

My dad suggested a lunch meet here as it was close to him. I must admit I was sceptical as I usually prefer an independent pub but I was very pleasantly surprised and impressed. Our servers Darren and Victoria were extremely welcoming and looked after us impeccably. I chose the seafood and chorizo risotto which was delicious and excellent value. The rest of our party enjoyed their meals too including one diabetic who had as much of the sugar removed from her dessert as they possibly could. Well done guys, keep up the good work!

Ate here twice over the last week. Last Sunday we popped in and had a Sunday lunch. Two roast turkey meals and you could add extras if you wanted. They gave us loads of meat and the veg was plenty on each plate. Didn't have pudding as we were stuffed. We returned again later in the week and had some of the meal deals that were good value. The Mrs had halloumi and chips and I had one of the burgers and chips..both were perfect and cooked just how we liked it. Burger was really tasty and the chips were just right. The service was spot on Both occasions and staff very accommodating.

It was my first time going to Coopers Mill and we will definitely return. Michael who served us was very attentive, informative and friendly.

This is my local and I’ve never thought to write a review until now; the staff are more like friends at this point, they’re so friendly and welcoming, always make your visit special, I cannot fault the place. I’ve come here for years for the sports they show and the prices. Absolutely brilliant. Big shout out to their manager Darrell & the rest of the staff; Victoria is absolutely lovely aswell as Josh, Dan is an absolute character aswell. We all have a laugh. Another fantastic meal here....wife had hunters chicken, which was piping hot and tender...the katsu chicken equally as hot and tender....and a bonus free pud as it was the wife's birthday...will definitely be back k.

Kind of what I expected, I went for the BBQ chicken sandwich, it was a little sad, rather over done fried chicken and not a lot of BBQ going on. A friend had sticky toffee putting and enjoyed it. Like the ability to order through your phone. Service was good, pretty quickly delivered drinks that were ordered. It's not a bad spot and I hope I just chose a dud meal.

I had the new Swiss burger with Swiss cheese and mushrooms. Very nice! Good food overall, good deals. Quite busy for 3.30pm but not too slow.

if i got rate higher than 5, i absolutely would! i contacted coopers about a week before the event and asked if they could cater for 22 people! within a matter of hours, the manager had gotten back to me and confirmed they could do this and only asked for preorders. all communication with the manager was responded to in a matter of hours everytime and they went above and beyond to make this surprise meal perfect for our friend. they allowed us to come in early to set up decorations, managed to sit us all on one table in the restaurant area and were super attentive all evening. this is the second time we have used coopers mill for a large party and we would all return time and time again. the evening was seamless and the staff beyond brilliant. thank you so so much for everything!

Place has changed a bit since I last visited 30 years ago. First, it’s cleaner! Second, all the staff seemed friendly and sober! That said, I hardly ever give 5 stars to a restaurant unless their food is orgasmic. 3 is fair. I had the beef pie and it was disappointing - tasty enough but ZERO carrots, peas, potatoes etc in the filling. It was just a few beef chunks and a lot of gravy and crust. Tasted fine but lacking also came with a side of gravy. So A LOT of gravy. Otherwise, it’s an ok place and at least it’s not a place where you get glowered at just for walking in the door.

We had a lovely meal this evening, both dishes were delicious and jacob and micke were attentive helpful and polite. Great service

Not quite sure where the cheese was on my cheesy chips but more concerning is the doors in the women’s toilets have holes in for anyone to look straight through! I stuffed my toilet door with loo roll, one of the other doors have had the hole filled however 3 out of 4 were not! They have posters on the doors about safety but surely this is safety too? The toilet door locks are absolutely appalling also!

Booked a table turned up bar staff friendly was told someone would be with us in a minute or so 25 min later still no one came to take our order table next to us had been waiting 45 min for food when it came out was wrong

Being a whinging old sod means I gripe more over lesser things, does this however guarantee a more in depth review...well, we shall see on that one. So, at 43 I decided it was about time to do a solocation without the fruits of my loins, and the partner I don't have. As expected, long, unbroken drives aren't the most pleasant things, especially when you factor in the motorway neanderthals....I digress. Pulled up at the Coopers Mill into the car park next door as I wanted to see what all the fuss was about regarding Yeovil Country Park....less said about that the better, a 2 hour walk took 5 because I have the world's worst sense of direction.. After being shredded to bits by Yeovil's wonderful countryside, I nipped into Coopers Mill for a cheeky cider and a bite to eat, it is thoroughly modern and inviting, the staff were 'bend over backwards' friendly and ordering was simple (thank goodness). I plumped for the bacon and beef burger which took around 15 minutes to arrive (there weren't many people in at 15:30) and it was as nice as the cider I had (sorry, can't advertise). The only gripe I had which was beyond the pub's control was a loud mouthed family (more the father than anyone else) who obviously never got taught how to be when around other people..

Stopped by for lunch whilst on holiday. Typical pub (chain is Greene King) food properly cooked. Polite and helpful staff. Reasonably priced. Had our dog with us, which was no issue, water bowl provided without asking. Only points of note, parking nearby is changeable, parking in pub is free, register at the bar, women's toilet doors need new locks, none lockable also glasses dishwasher needs overhaul as glasses could have been cleaner.

Love all the staff! Food is amazing 👏 only negative is the woman's toilets, the doors have been broken for months, they definitely need fixing ASAP! This is how woman have to pee.. you'd have a more privacy, less stress of a wee going ioutdoors in a bush. Definitely needs attending soon.

Stopped here on way home from Cornwall for some dinner. Really disappointed with my food. Husband had gammon which was fine but my fish and chips was awful. The fish was either reheated or very overcooked. Really chewy and dry. Quite a lot of loud groups there but it was a Friday evening so we probably should have expected that. Just wanted a relaxing meal in the sunshine to end our holiday

Had a really good lunch at Coopers Mill in Yeovil served by Michael who is an excellent employee and was working really hard, very busy.

Great choices of good solid pub food and well kept beers. Perfect for a family group and right on the edge of Yeovil Country Park. Michael and Dylan worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed, even going to great lengths to find some butter for one of our party.

Went for Sunday lunch. Which was very nice. Had to wait a while for it to arrive but was nice. The service was good but unfortunately painfully slow. We ordered desserts and 40 minutes later they still hadn’t come out. In the end we cancelled them and left. Nice place and food just need to hurry your service up.

Yet another great day out with my wife and friends we all had the seniors three course meals with fizz we also were aloud to bring our dog

We popped in on the off chance, as passing while on holiday. Made extremely welcomed by Micheal and his team. The atmosphere warm and friendly and the service was quick and efficient. Environment was clean and uncrowded. The food was generously portioned and well cooked. Our dog was also extremely split too. Could see other guests were enjoying themselves as well. It's a shame we are not local, otherwise, I'm sure we would be regular visitors.

Come in to watch the euros game , staff was super friendly , we had table service and found this so much better than waiting at the bar, staff kept checking in to see if everything was okay and seeing if we needed anything which was lovely , had chicken strips and nachos to share and was really good, thank you to the staff for being friendly with great customer service.

I booked in advance and paid a £10 deposit £5 each for my son and myself. On arrival I asked for our table and the lad behind the bar pointed to a smallish round table right in the middle of a crowd of people all sat around watching football with 3 people actually sat at the table. I looked at the lad but he didn't move until I asked him if he could ask the people sat there to move as I had paid for the space but when I walked over one of the people sat there was about 10 years old and I felt guilty and told his dad it's OK leave him there and I had to sit on the seating that goes around the wall so to speak and after ordering our food as I tried to eat at the table but ot was silly as the table was too far from me to eat comfortably so I ended up putting the menu and my meal ON MY KNEE to eat. I was very unimpressed that I had to actually pay a deposit for the table to have to end up sharing it and eating like I was sat in a living room This was unacceptable and very disappointing. The staff were great mostly apart from one girl who seeing me stood there totally ignored me and served what seemed to be her regulars. Another lad served me but I was annoyed at the time and let him know but I apologised and told him it wasn't personal. Overall very disappointed as it seems like i was pretty much the only one who paid a deposit (after asking a few customers who were mainly people who had just finished work knew nothing about deposits so thanks for that coopers mill) for my son and myself to eat. Good service terrible experience! 23/06/24 Since leaving my last review I was contacted by Daryl and he was very helpful. As mentioned I didn't really review the food which was actually very good so much so my son who was with me wants to go back to coopers mill for his birthday because he loved the katsu curry chicken. He's portion was massive and I didn't think he would eat it all but he did not bad for a 10yr old. I look forward to going back which quite honestly I didn't think I would but after my interaction with Daryl he was really set on putting things right and that's all I could ask

Took Dad for Sunday lunch for Father's Day. The food looked great but the meat was terrible, all fat and gristle. Very disappointing.

Had a meal here today and it was great. I have to say the staff here are lovely, the two young ladies that were working today were so friendly and helpful. We also come here often for the Thursday quiz night which is run very well and is an enjoyable evening.

We always have a lovely meal here, the staff are really friendly and helpful. They make me feel as though my dietary requirements are no problem at all and the food is excellent for the price. Particularly stand out staff are the Dylan and Michael, nothing is too much for them and are a credit to the place.

Michael was amazing and the team. There were 7 of us including 2 toddlers wanted some food after a busy day called up and asked for a table and once we arrived it was all set up ready. Food was lovely and hot. Great food selection for kids and adults. Good deal for kids too. Lovely atmosphere. Would definitely go there again.

Our first visit to Coopers Mill and am very sorry I did not visit sooner. So many options to choose from Will be our place to eat out from now on.
