The perfect scotch egg DOES exist, and it’s here. Had a few breakfasts here before, staff are brilliant, relaxed, personable and friendly. Walked past their window with these big scotch eggs in it, almost daily and always said I need to try one. Pulled the plug £3.95 (at the time of writing) initially I thought that was a bit steep, but once you try it, it’s worth it. Perfect crunch, quality meat and the egg cooked to perfection. 10/10 Apologies for the picture with multiple bites out of it, couldn’t help myself.

Booked a table for 8 for a birthday lunch. Table was reserved and looked attractive on our arrival. Food was great, service was great. The licence meant we could have a glass or 2 of prosecco. Thank you.

Banging food,brilliant service,very friendly staff

Usually visit here often as it’s a really nice place to eat, but sadly the service was poor, the food was really not good & cold , presented very badly & there was a vinegar type dressing under the burger, looked like the plate hadn’t been washed, I was going to complain while I was there but I had my autistic son with me & it would have distressed him. Not sure if it’s under new ownership or a new chef, really disappointed .

Ordered from here for the first time since moving back. Always hesitant with with some takeaways due to prices and taste. The prices here are very reasonable and the taste of the food was great. Will definitely come again.

Booked for dinner but on arrival, they thought we had booked for buffet, fortunately they had a table for us within a short time so we had a pre-dinner drink in the bar, which is fabulous and then went for a lovely meal in the Bistro, it is a small and intimate restaurant and quite modern and food is served on hot rocks, which you cook yourself to your own taste. Nice concept and food was really lovely BUT find that it gets pretty smoky when it is very busy. This is not a unique concept to us and it was a very nice change. Service was attentive and good and wine selection is great. Little pub at the Langport Arms is friendly and wonderful for pre or post drinks too.

Small old good pub. They hold events which are well catered for and really well setup.

Wonderful authentic Thai food , made with fresh ingredients and very reasonably priced . We enjoyed our meal very much tonight and our friends Friday night get together …. The only negative we had was that although the dining area is lovely , it definitely lacked any atmosphere , infact we felt it cringingly quiet .. Thai music playing in the background , would have been a very nice addition

Great atmosphere & very friendly

Does anyone know if the old owners have a new kebab in the area shop? This place is a shadow of its former self; the portion size is a lot smaller; the quality of the diner is horrendous and when you throw in the curt and dismissive attitude of the man serving, it is not a place I shall be returning to.

Amazing food staff were friendly

There are numerous cafes in the area, and this is easily the worst we have been to. It is expensive the service poor, and not friendly, and the food was poor. We will not be back, lots of much better places near by
