What can I say amazing.2nd visit brought my kids and daughters bf. Great food service amazingly very help and friendly. Oh and their cakes are amazing. Please do visit them.

A great place, fantastic tasty food and drinks, we didn't even know the cafe was there even though we've lived in the area all our lives, a great find!

Four of us stopped here for a hearty breakfast before embarking on a day of ale and Als Diner served up a great stomach liner. Although not the most aesthetically pleasing, AL’s Diner cooks basic ingredients to perfection. Poached eggs were a winner and we recommend the boxing ring special, crumpets on a breakfast works a treat. Nice service. A solid 4 star establishment.

Staff very friendly and helpful

Walked in the pub where the owner/landlady was smoking outside. Not a great first impression. Went in to be told they were only doing roasts. At 1.15 they only had 2 chicken left. We ordered and sat out side with our drinks. The waitress called us in to a very empty restaurant area where are meals were on the table. Lots of roast potatoes and some meat. We asked when veg was coming out to be told the had run out of veg the night before!!!!! We couldn’t believe it! We told them we didn’t want it. The landlady/owner did offer us to take meals free of charge but that wasn’t the point. We have been before but the fantastic chef they had has left! We’ll never go back. Needs a complete revamp and new chef!

Nice, sunny cafe style farm shop. Only had coffee n cake so cannot comment on full menu. Plenty of parking and outdoor seating. No WiFi.

A little shocked at our dinner experience here. Hubby ordered a steak, they asked which sauce he wanted. He chose one and they charged $3.50 for it. We have never, ever paid for steak sauce before and we travel alot! I had lamb. It was VERY pink in the middle. (I cant honestly say that it was raw as I dont know for sure but it was very close to raw center) then we went to order dessert and mentioned that we were full already but were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. After we ordered and dessert came, the waitress asked if she can send a special celebration dessert with us. Ummmm, why didnt we get that offer BEFORE we ordered dessert? Then to top it off, we got a 10% service charge onto our total yet. Never had that happen here in England before either. We typically tip 20% to 25% but decided with all the strange glitches at such a classy place, 10% was more than plenty. It was a disappointment to our special occasion. 🥺

Lovely place with lovely staff and food. Luke & Zoli were fantastic as was Jono our waiter. Keep up the great work. We would definitely return.

A lovely afternoon spent drinking cocktails and eating at the Atrium bar. Really nicely made drinks and tasty food in a pleasant atmosphere.

We just came back from the all you can eat curry night that was advertised. It was a lovely evening, attentive and professional staff who spent the time to say hi to our son and have a general chit chat. Nothing was too much when we requested hot water to heat up our son’s pouch, which we were very grateful of! The buffet was a fair price and was lovely, a good range of food on offer, the mint chutney was zingy and made your mouth water. A few more stars of the show for me were the lamb rogan Josh and the grilled seabass. All the curries were flavourful and the meat tender. Definitely a not so hidden gem off the A38 and well worth trying out if you are ever passing by.

Not enough staff head waiter/front of house kept walking away when taking order to answer phone or go to kitchen. There were no pizza on as not enough kitchen staff. Food was average at best for the price. The Mac and cheese was lacking taste and that extra factor with texture, make better at home. We wanted desert but it took so long we cancelled. I was so looking forward to the meal and was let down. The best thing about the meal was the gin and tonic. Had the chick wrapped in parma ham with the Italian sausage. The sausage overpowered the chicken which you couldn't taste and the sage didn't come through either. Should have been more chicken and less Italian sausage to allow the flavour of the chicken and sage come through. The chicken burger was nice and American burger too but overall could be much better. Staff were polite and nice but seemed to struggle and was not busy but were also doing room service. I feel the venue is very nice and with a little work could be excellent but needs work and please sort the mac and cheese out this should be outstanding it's a simple dish to make great.

We regularly use the garden centre and cafe and have always found standards excellent. However, our last visit was marred by finding hair in our food. The young man in the kitchen could be seen preparing food with his hair falling down over his face that day. We were rather appalled as standards have always been amazing from the look of the plants and gardens to the toilets which are spotless, everyone seems to take great care in their work, so we hope this is just a one off as it is our go to place for all things garden, the staff are super friendly, knowledge and very helpful. Perhaps the staff could be encouraged to wear the appropriate PPE in the kitchen and cafe. We will be back and hope that the unfortunate incident won’t be repeated .

I visited this bar to eat with friends and did everything you are advised to do by a discount card I have and was abused by a senior member of staff in front of friends. Gross bad management. I will never set foot in this place again and would not recommend this establishment!
