What can I say amazing.2nd visit brought my kids and daughters bf. Great food service amazingly very help and friendly. Oh and their cakes are amazing. Please do visit them.

Not really a cafe, more bistro tucked aware on an industrial estate. Not particularly cheap, but absolutely fab food worth every penny. Had the pulled brisket & smoked cheese sandwich with an iced coffee.

Four of us stopped here for a hearty breakfast before embarking on a day of ale and Als Diner served up a great stomach liner. Although not the most aesthetically pleasing, AL’s Diner cooks basic ingredients to perfection. Poached eggs were a winner and we recommend the boxing ring special, crumpets on a breakfast works a treat. Nice service. A solid 4 star establishment.

Very friendly public house never eaten there but the pints are great i only have one drink because im driving, if i don't drive i could not get there personally as i live 15 miles away but its worth it.

Walked in the pub where the owner/landlady was smoking outside. Not a great first impression. Went in to be told they were only doing roasts. At 1.15 they only had 2 chicken left. We ordered and sat out side with our drinks. The waitress called us in to a very empty restaurant area where are meals were on the table. Lots of roast potatoes and some meat. We asked when veg was coming out to be told the had run out of veg the night before!!!!! We couldn’t believe it! We told them we didn’t want it. The landlady/owner did offer us to take meals free of charge but that wasn’t the point. We have been before but the fantastic chef they had has left! We’ll never go back. Needs a complete revamp and new chef!

Popped in today for a coffee. Don’t normally drink festive beverages. But the young barista girl named Lexie recommended cinnamon latte with toasted marshmallows as her signature coffee. It was the best drink I have had in ages. Pure coffee perfection in a mug ❤️ the photos don’t do it justice. Sat in the aptly named naughty corner. There was a lovely atmosphere between the staff and customers, even though I could see the place was about to get very busy as table were being moved to accommodate large groups who had previously booked. I never felt rushed or that because I only had a coffee any less valid as a customer. Will definitely be back on the new year ☺️

Awful avoid at all costs 2 beans on toast not difficult really after it ing over 20 minutes it arrived toast stone cold and beans at room temperature took it back I asked what was wrong explained about it being cold given a curse apology waited another 12 minutes back it comes the chef of the day obviously a comedian as the bans were now so hot they were still boiling and bubbling in the little serving dish and the toast was hot but now burnt as it had been re toasted total joke

Lovely place with lovely staff and food. Luke & Zoli were fantastic as was Jono our waiter. Keep up the great work. We would definitely return.

The food at Marcos was tremendous. The service was brilliant even when they had a massive table for a birthday, our food still came at a reasonable time and our waiter that night was incredible and noticeable! Thank you Zoli for being our waiter that night. You were spot on. We recommend this place for a yummy meal!! Ambience was great.

A little shocked at our dinner experience here. Hubby ordered a steak, they asked which sauce he wanted. He chose one and they charged $3.50 for it. We have never, ever paid for steak sauce before and we travel alot! I had lamb. It was VERY pink in the middle. (I cant honestly say that it was raw as I dont know for sure but it was very close to raw center) then we went to order dessert and mentioned that we were full already but were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. After we ordered and dessert came, the waitress asked if she can send a special celebration dessert with us. Ummmm, why didnt we get that offer BEFORE we ordered dessert? Then to top it off, we got a 10% service charge onto our total yet. Never had that happen here in England before either. We typically tip 20% to 25% but decided with all the strange glitches at such a classy place, 10% was more than plenty. It was a disappointment to our special occasion. 🥺

Beautiful little area in the main hotel. Dog friendly. Had coffee and light snack here. Reasonable prices considering it’s part of the hotel. Good food and staff very friendly. Lovely setting.

We just came back from the all you can eat curry night that was advertised. It was a lovely evening, attentive and professional staff who spent the time to say hi to our son and have a general chit chat. Nothing was too much when we requested hot water to heat up our son’s pouch, which we were very grateful of! The buffet was a fair price and was lovely, a good range of food on offer, the mint chutney was zingy and made your mouth water. A few more stars of the show for me were the lamb rogan Josh and the grilled seabass. All the curries were flavourful and the meat tender. Definitely a not so hidden gem off the A38 and well worth trying out if you are ever passing by.

We regularly use the garden centre and cafe and have always found standards excellent. However, our last visit was marred by finding hair in our food. The young man in the kitchen could be seen preparing food with his hair falling down over his face that day. We were rather appalled as standards have always been amazing from the look of the plants and gardens to the toilets which are spotless, everyone seems to take great care in their work, so we hope this is just a one off as it is our go to place for all things garden, the staff are super friendly, knowledge and very helpful. Perhaps the staff could be encouraged to wear the appropriate PPE in the kitchen and cafe. We will be back and hope that the unfortunate incident won’t be repeated .

I visited this bar to eat with friends and did everything you are advised to do by a discount card I have and was abused by a senior member of staff in front of friends. Gross bad management. I will never set foot in this place again and would not recommend this establishment!
