Nice place with more a garden centre vibe than a business park one. Good food and fair prices. Inside nicer than outside.

I celebrated my birthday/retirement at this great venue. Kim and the team there were so helpful with the planning of this evening event for us. We have used the venue a number of times for breakfast and lunch and had always enjoyed the food there. They catered for 40 people and the food and service were outstanding. Best birthday cake ever 🎂 A big thanks from Carole & Ian for making it a very special night. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were excited to try as heard good things but certainly won’t be going back! We waited over half an hour on a quiet Sunday morning for 2 Large Breakfasts which came out cold and the sausages were very undercooked we didn’t even eat them. Complained to a waitress but explained we didn’t have time to wait any longer as it had taken so long to arrive, no apologies or anything from anyone! Paid full price £15.50 which is a lot for what it was! Also the potatoes and mushrooms along with being cold were very over seasoned and not what you want on a breakfast. Basically save your money and go to the vintage birdcage.

Another exceptional evening at The Hideout. We’ve attended several of their themed events but we definitely think this one topped the rest! The food was sublime. We asked what some of the dishes were and the chef came out to explain, which just made it harder to choose! The service was brilliant as it always is whether you pop in for breakfast, coffee and cake, lunch or a cuppa and always served with a smile. We’ve taken different friends here and none have been disappointed, even those with allergies have been accommodated with ease. It’s a firm favourite of ours, we even try to plan our dog walks to incorporate a visit!

We went here with the Vee Dub Family yesterday. Fresh food, lovely decor and staff were really friendly and professional.

Not that many people there today. This was my first visit but my friend thought the menu had changed quite a lot. I had a salad which was nice but quite pricey for what it was. The staff were very friendly

The best panini I’ve ever eaten was served to me today by really friendly staff. My wife and daughter had sandwiches which were also delicious. Don’t be put off by the location in an industrial estate, the cafe is truly a hidden gem 👍

Found the Hideout on Google Maps looking for somewhere for lunch on the way from Slimbridge to Bristol. So glad we found it a lovely quirky cafe with excellent food. Had sandwiches but they were so packed with good quality local ingredients it felt like we had eaten so much more. Highly recommended if in the area.

Turned up for breakfast, was extremely busy, but the team did amazingly well. Waitresses always had a smile on their face despite being flat out and were so curtious. Food was really hot and my adjustments were catered for. Nice veg options. Very tasty breakfast reasonably priced. Will go back, but best to book.

This is a really nice place, staff are friendly and the food is very nice and a little different. On a second visit again fabulous food friendly staff highly recommend.

Five of us attended last nights Sreak evening It was absolutely wonderful. The quality of the food, cooking and service was excellent, making it great evening out. We,ve now attended their Spanish, Italian, small plates, American diner, and Mexican evenings, all of which were authentic, and delicious. We're also booked on the Thai night, and Burger evening, and are very much looking forward to them. Their Seasonal, monthly Sunday lunches are of the highest standard to. Really worth a visit, whether it's a Breakfast, Brunch, lunch, or afternoon tea. There's also a delicious range of homemade cakes which you can enjoy in with a Coffee/Tea, or take away.

Well named off the beaten track but welcoming haven of peace and good food. Especially ideal for disabled mother-in-law as parking close to entrance, no steps and plenty space round the tables. Staff very welcoming and helpful. What not to like?

Had afternoon tea with my family for my Birthday. Party of 13 included 6 children. The food was delicious and plentiful. Took home the cakes we didn't eat at the time. Thank you for making my day special.

Food was lovely absolutely loaded with filling. I had pepperoni pizza toasties never seen so much pepperoni or cheese. All the sandwiches were loaded with whatever filling you had.

Went out for lunch for a friend’s birthday. My friend had homemade mushroom soup which she said was delicious & it looked it too. I had roasted veg, pesto & mozzarella panini, also delicious & nice thick panini bread too. Nicest I have eaten for a very long time. Coffee also very nice. I have eaten here several times before and food has always been good. It was a bit cold in the cafe yesterday so I had to keep my coat on & my friend had hers over her knees! We would definitely return.

Been several times now as local to the area. Previous visits for breakfast and brunch. Breakfast is of the highest quality with meat you can taste. Not the high volume sawdust rubbish. Today, I had the Big Fat Santa sandwich. I felt like a fraud using a knife & fork but there was no sensible way to eat it. Absolutely bloody deeeeeelicious

Just visited for Halloween afternoon tea and as always we had an absolutely fantastic time. The food was amazing, everyone we encountered was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble!! I am a big, big fan of the hideout lounge and can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. They offer so many specialty evenings and themes I can only say book ASAP - you won’t be disappointed :-)

We came for brunch as we were staying at the hotel for a wedding. It was a Wednesday morning so just a couple of others in and it was a nice peaceful setting. The staff were very friendly. Very good coffee, and the food was fantastic. I would recommend the nduja hash if you have an appetite!

While traveling England my husband and I randomly found this place. Probably the best food we have had the entire trip! We shared the fried breakfast chicken sandwich & it was heavenly.

I just had an amazing plate of chicken wings at the Hideout Lounge’s American Diner night. I also stole some of my fellow diner’s bbq ribs and it was even better. The food at this place is amazing and the staff and service are also brilliant. Thanks! :)

Passing through and went to stop for lunch. Was greeted by a middle aged female employee who said we're not doing breakfast anymore. We said no worries we'll get some lunch to which she said we're not serving yet. Her words then we're it's coffee and cake to takeaway and that's it so we said OK then. We then went to the counter and was served by a younger lady who credit to her was treating us as you'd expect. Politely! We ordered and she said where are you sitting to our surprise as her colleague said they were only doing takeaways!? So we said we'd sit outside. I then saw the previous lady scowl through the serving hatch at us. I didn't think too much of it at the time. Assumed she was having a bad day. I then went to the toilet before heading outside. Upon exiting the lady was right outside the toilet door badly pretending to sort the glasses out. It wasn't until I mentioned it to my friend later that he said about the jail nearby and that she probably thought you was from there or something. If that's not the case then I don't know what her excuse is and if it is she then she was wrong. On top of that there was 3 other tables being used by customers and they all got the lunchtime menus. Very rude lady.

Lovely sunday roast and very accommodating to vegetarians. Would be good to highlight veggie option especially ingredients. Nice beer selection

Great stop off option when travelling from the north to Devon or Cornwall rather than a service station. The boozy black forest cake was so yummy!!

Just a short detour off the motorway. Excellent coffee and a friendly atmosphere. They have awards in the wall for 2022 and 2023s Blue Ribbon Good Food Award

What a fabulous place, we stayed nearby and didn’t want the typical hotel breakfast so this place came up on a quick google search. Did not disappoint at all. Welcomed with a warm welcome, great ambiance inside. Orders were taken quickly, we were informed the chef was stuck in traffic due to an accident but this did not affect the service. The food came quickly and what can I say, it was delicious! Been to so many mainstream restaurants but this breakfast was just so good! Would highly recommend going here and I’m glad we didn’t settle for the typical hotel breakfast!

Please don’t visit this wonderful place. We want to keep it to ourselves. Joking apart, a great discovery. Food menus are extensive, food presentation and quality world class, nice ambiance despite slightly odd location. Breakfast’s absolutely decadent, smoothies wonderful, coffee great.

Friendly welcome on walking in to this charmingly furnished cafe. Excellent coffee and a delicious lunch later after a good walk in the area (highly recommended especially the church and the Tortworth chestnut) and all efficiently served. Dog friendly.

Our first experience of the Hideout Lounge was a Gourmet Evening. We had heard lots of good accounts over the last couple of years, Breakfasts, Lunches, Cakes and the many Burger and Steak Nights. We had the opportunity to attend their first Gourmet Evening, and we were not disappointed. It was truly Amazing. Quality and Quantity was outstanding. We are Foodies through and through and have experienced several of the Top 50 Restaurants from around the world. And without a doubt this Gourmet Evening was one that we will not forget. Staff and Service were spot on. Very much look forward to the next one. In the meantime, we must sample one or two of the Breakfast options. Highly Recommend!

The Hideout Lounge is an award winning gem of an establishment with high quality, imaginative and extremely tasty food. Family run, with friendly helpful staff, there is a lovely atmosphere. As well as daily menus, the Hideout occasionally runs themed events which are superb. They are an excellent opportunity for the lead chef to show off his simply outstanding skills at developing dishes to remember. Many are surprised by the style of building and the location, but being near to the M5 but the industrial feel of the building belies quality of food, drink and cakes that would normally be found in high quality cafe establishments. The Hideout is quite rightly recommended in 'The Extra Mile' book.

Been here for breakfast, lunch and coffee before but not one of their special evenings. This was was a Greek Special and it didn’t disappoint. We had fabulous authentic food served with a smile. Well done Hideout team we will definitely be looking forward to another. Meanwhile we will be in for those delicious cakes, well who could resist anyway!

Wow, what a great find this was! Fantastic welcome on the phone and in person. Relaxed, funky vibe. But more importantly- brilliant veggie breakfast. Will be back to sample the cakes which looked epic!

£17.50 for a panini and some chips... *Edit* My deepest apologies, I was mistaken. It was £17 not £17.50. £12 for the brisket panini and £5 for chips. This is absurd pricing as I could get a proper (and tastier) meal at a nicer restuarant for around £5 less. Poor location for a eatery, interior was drab and not worth the money.

Nice tasting food, spotlessly clean but rather expensive for what you got on your plate. I ordered a Ciabatta roll with roasted veg, mozzarella and pesto as the filling it that was served on its own with nothing else on the plate and it was £9. Don’t think we will go back anytime soon.

I just love this place! Amazing chocolate afternoon tea over Easter, food was very creative and tasty. Every time I visit the lounge it is really busy as it's so popular! Staff are very friendly and welcoming!

Tasty was food, but the bubble and squeak dish caused some mild diarrhoea, so it ruined the impression. Good service and staff happy to help but feel a bit let down

Lovely welcoming staff, very friendly place to visit. Food is tasty, cooked to order and reasonably priced. The cakes are to die for!! I have friends who are Coeliac and they have complete confidence in the Hideout's gluten free options. Staff are aware of cross contamination issues. We visit regularly and have never felt rushed to finish our food. All in all a great place to visit

Popped in today for coffee and cakes with the grandchildren. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Very impressed that they catered for the young ones with child friendly plates, cups and cutlery and had toys and books. The boys loved the books and were happy to sit at the table and listen to the stories, nothing worse than unruly kids!

Great food, good service, nice atmosphere

We managed to be accommodated for Mother's Day roast lunch. Our booking was later in day, we still waited a while to be served. In all fairness it was a very busy Sunday. The wait was worth it as our lunches arrived and they were very tasty. It would be nice to go back in the summer.

Me and my sister in law felt quite awkward at this cafe today. We had bought our children (IN HALF TERM) and we’re made to feel quite uncomfortable. We were sat next to a box of toys so naturally you’d think that the children would be allowed to play. As we drank our coffee in this quite empty cafe (bar 2 tables of 2 on the opposite side of the establishment) we noticed the staff getting quite irritated at our children. The other 4 customers didn’t seem to mind but the manageress came up to us and said the children were being rather loud. I know kids can be noisy but they weren’t being unruly or causing any harm. But the staff seemed more worried about 2 ladies in the corner who didn’t seemed phased by the children. It made us feel awkward as neither of us a mothers have ever been asked to silent our children. The point is kids will be kids and like I said it’s half term and they were by no means miss behaving. If adult only custom is all they are interested in I recommend they get rid of the box of toys and advertise that it’s not a family friendly place. Needless to say we won’t be giving the hideout lounge any future custom with or without our children in tow.

This was my first visit to the Hideout lounge. The food was amazing. However, the waiter slightly let it down as she seemed really uninterested in taking our order. Really let it down.

Visited for the first time today. Decided to call up last minute and we're told to arrive asap which given we were hungry was no problem at all! We were welcomes and sat at our table and had our order taken. Me and my partner ordered the Benny burger and all we can say is as people who spend far too much time eating breakfasts at different places this is certainly one of the best! It is slightly more expensive than other places but it is certainly as case of you getting what you pay for so this is in no way a complaint! We look forward to trying their other offerings! Thank you :) PS the brownies are dangerous!

Just popped in for coffee with friends. Large black americano £.3.20 Regular flat white with soya milk £3.80 (inc. 60p charge for the milk?!) Regular cappuccino £3.00 1st visit but can't say I'll return based on these prices.

Visited here for breakfast. The cafe was nice. Staff friendly. Facilities clean. Parking was easy and access for everyone was ample. Be aware that if you want to sit inside it's worth making a booking. I'm sure some of the options are amazing. The quality of the food was good. I have to say I was a little disappointed with the price Vs quantity of food. I ordered poached eggs on toast £6. I felt this was a bit expensive. The menu hasn't been updated on their website with new prices but there menus do show this when you get there. Its a very popular cafe from the reviews but I just didn't feel the prices represented what you are served. Otherwise I would recommend a visit.

Just came back from a fantastic burger evening at the hideout lounge and it was absolutely amazing!!! I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad meal here (and I’ve had a few ;-)) Lots of burger options to choose from made my decision incredibly difficult, but I went with the sloppy joe with bbq dirty fries in the end while the husband went with the frazzle burger with chorizo and habanero dirty fries!!! Both were absolutely amazing and can’t wait to go again!!! Staff as always were wonderful and nothing too much trouble. Thank you hideout lounge for some seriously fabulous food!!!

Sadly went to The Hideout expecting a lovely brunch. However waitress was stressed to the hill, service was VERY. Slow due to lack of staff. Lady who’s daughter made the cakes was really lovely and did her best (cakes were great) but come on YOU NEED MORE STAFF happy staff happy customers but your staff were anything but happy 😩😩😩😩

Went to a 'steak night', and the steaks were very good with a nice range of side dishes. Our food was delivered quickly and the waiting staff were friendly and efficient. My only grip was the inadequate ventilation, and cooking so many steaks without any obvious air extraction resulted in a 'fog' as the evening wore on. This evening was popular and we all enjoyed our steak night at The Hideout.

Called in for a light lunch. We hadn't booked but now know better. They got us a table but said there may be a wait of up to half an hour. No real worry for us, we had turned up on spec and they were obviously busy. As it was our order was taken and food was in front of us within 20 minutes. We have only been in The Hideout a couple of times, and have not been disappointed. It's a small family run business which sets high standards and delivers. Food is excellent and the coffee is the best I have had in a long time. Would certainly recommend this place.

We booked a table for two at The Hideout Lounge yesterday afternoon. When we arrived just before out allotted time of 2:30 the place was buzzing. Daisy, who looked after us throughout our visit and who we had spoken to on the phone took us to our table right in the middle of the action. To one side of us there was a table of 15 or more ladies enjoying a baby-shower party and all around us couples were coming and going enjoying snacks or meals. We opted for a light snack of poached eggs on sourdough toast and a pot of tea, quickly followed by more tea and a large slice of coffee cake, easily big enough to share. If you want to see how anyone can convert what is essentially a factory unit on an industrial estate in to a lively and quirky café go along. I'm sure you won't be disappointed, we weren't. Excellent!

We discovered this little gem back in 2022 and after a couple of visits where we enjoyed amazing food, we decided to book a table for breakfast /brunch for my birthday on Christmas Eve, to introduce family to the wonderful food. Sadly my dad wasn’t very well and couldn’t make it, and my son & his girlfriend couldn’t get time off work, so it was just my partner and I and my daughter. We weren’t disappointed - stunning food yet again with very generous portion sizes! The festive snowball was a treat to have with my breakfast! Took me back to my youth! My daughter throughly enjoyed the scrambled egg with mushrooms & truffle, whilst my other half devoured the full English! The coffee here is delicious too! Highly recommend for breakfast, brunch or lunch and looking forward to enjoying their amazing steak sandwich again one day!!

Went for brunch. Had the full breakfast. Quality sausages, bacon, black pudding aka the triple P as I call it. I've had the steak sandwich on a previous visit which was mouth watering tasty. Certainly know how to cook.

The quality of the ingredients used, the reasonable prices, the friendly staff and interesting decor make this the best place for breakfast you’d find anywhere in the UK!!! Lucky for me it’s on my doorstep ❤️

Just got home from a fabulous festive afternoon tea at the hideout lounge and it was absolutely fantastic!!! I cannot recommend their afternoon teas, breakfasts, brunches, cakes and food enough!! Staff are always so friendly and polite and a joy to talk too. If your in the area make Sure You stop off and try it, you won’t be disappointed!!!

One of the best roasts we’ve ever had. Great meat (three choices if I’m not mistaken) and vegetarian options (like a huge, perfectly roasted cauliflower steak), beautifully cooked veg, and the cauliflower cheese might be one of the best I’ve ever had. Generous portions, amazing flavour, and truly wonderful and cheery staff. You won’t regret having a meal here!

Went for brunch. Had the full breakfast and it will not disappoint. Nice to have a breakfast with quality meat and not high volume crap. Absolutely stuffed. Visited a few weeks ago and missed breakfast but had the steak Panini which was bloody delicious. Devoured!
