Eat here many times with my family good is always spot on and huge portions never had any bad experiences here can't help but think the negative comments are from other cafe owners who are showing their jealousy, and the staff here can never do enough for you really friendly people welcoming place

Always a great breakfast, always busy which shows how good it is.

Stopped off here for a coffee following a walk. I was surprised by the choice of cake and couldn't resist. I had a slice of victoria sandwich it was the best I've had in ages. I didn't have a meal, but while I was ordering, I saw a lot of the food being served and it all looked very good. The service was friendly and efficient. We sat outside for our coffees, which looks over the car park so I can't comment on the atmosphere inside the cafe. So glad to have discovered this café and I will definitely go back.

Fantastic, friendly local cafe for breakfast. Food came quickly and the full English / ultimate breakfasts were large, hot and well priced. Staff are friendly and happy to exchange meal items etc. if requested. Definitely recommend this lovely little cafe

Disgusting ! Food tastes like it’s been cooked with cleaning chemicals or something!?? Nearly twenty quid for a large breakfast delivered . Breakfast was very poor and tasted very strange. Luke warm and nasty ! Sort it out and stop ripping people off online. Stay away from this one people .

Huge portions. Can be very noisy when busy but it's bright and warm and tastefully decorated. Their scones with jam and cream are to die for. Nice big sized cups for coffees and always piping hot.

Had a fabulous experience dining at the Riverside cafe. The food was absolutely delicious, portion sizes were great and the family friendly service was lovely. I’d absolutely come back here again. It was clean , well maintained and accommodated all of our dietary requirements cautiously. 5 stars for sure!

Cleaned the table next to us down with spray kitchen cleaner when we were eating all you could smells was cleaner. Very disrespectful

Great local cafe to visit for a breakfast. Freshly cooked to order. The cafe is clean and tidy with modern lighting. It is actually a lot bigger than it looks from the front. We will return for a Greek night

Food Is nice great prices however always a long wait here as its popular with the locals. 20-30 mins is a bit long to wait especially if your popping in on a lunch brake. However great place if you got time

Man, I needed a fry up when I came here. I'd been having a pretty bad day and finding this place close to my work helped me have the time and space to get a little perspective on things. Thank you riverside. You were just what I needed.

Welcoming, excellent service, lots of variety, and they make a lovely cup of tea.

Food was fabulous, be warned very large portions.

Lovely breakfast but concerned by person taking orders at the till with a bloody unplastered hand. He then wiped the rim of a coffee cup with this hand before handing my guest their coffee. Think I'll give this place a miss even though the open kitchen showed better hygiene standards

Amazing lasagne. Let down by prioritising deliveroo/justeat take away orders that soak up all the available service.

Absolutely loved my breakfast. Really clean not greasy. Old school potatoes as well. As rick stein would say YUMMO. Plus they also sell proper things your granny used to make. Rock cake. Bread and butter pudding. Home made quiche. Definitely going back. Cheers ladies

Fan bloody tastic. My first visit.

If you want 'THEE', and I mean 'THEE' ultimate veggie breakfast, then you have to travel from wherever you live in the country, to The Riverside Cafe, in St Anne's, Bristol. Every element was perfect. The scrambled eggs were light and fluffy, and the fried potatoes are so much better than the usual hash browns. And to make it really healthy, there was a lovely salad of coleslaw and grated carrot 😋😋. We love going to this café not just for the amazing food, but also because the atmosphere is welcoming and the staff are lovely. I can highly recommend The Riverside Café.

Went here for breakfast, and was amazing. Had the breakfast omelette which I highly recommend.

From the first bite to the last I was overjoyed. The meat and bread filled my mouth with happiness and wonder, I nearly squealed with pleasure. I will be putting more of their tasty goods inside me soon.

I enjoyed the coffee it came out really nice.

Took my dad today and we had a wonderful meal. Family of 5 had food and drinks, and we all ate for an affordable price. Everyone was polite, friendly, and brilliant with the kids, and the food was excellent. Really enjoyed our visit and will 100% be going back!

Filthy slobbering dogs are allowed in the eating areas of this cafe - it's likely that all of the dogs will have faeces stuck to the hairs of their backsides because owners do not clean them before entering eating premises - although I like the cafe it must be very unhygienic

Edit to this review ......just been in there with a friend who is allergic to mushrooms wont bore you with details slight misunderstanding. BUT MANAGEMENT WERE GREAT AND GIRLS. INSTANT REFUND NO QUIBBLE EXCELLENT SERVICE. THANK YOU ALL. Excellent cafe. Good food and great breakfast. A little pricey. But quality and cleanliness is there. So you get what you pay for. Used this place several times, always a good experience.

What a lovely place. I had a delicious bacon and egg and sandwich on fabulously fresh bread with a proper cup of tea. Great food, lovely decor and the cafe was spotlessly clean throughout. Staff were very nice and friendly.

Beautiful cafe, big portions and best brew… soya and oat milk available. A must visit cafe if you are near St.anne’s. I enjoyed a chilled orange juice, big fluffy white bread, bacon and egg and I strongly recommend adding delicious hash browns. Incredible staff, so friendly! Parking just outside making it a lovely convenient breakfast, takeaway.

Excellent breakfast always, very good value for money, the portions are massive and the food is always fresh and homemade. Staff are always friendly and polite. Their Greek nights are fantastic too, lots of lovely food and live music.

Popped in for lunch Lasagne Chips and Salad food was good and service good it was packed with people for lunch. Found it by chance after travelling from Imperial sports centre west town lane on the way home they do Greek nights, one coming up soon, the next one £30 per head. Decor was good and a nice atmosphere. Portion size was very good and kept me going all day.

Very busy, tables cleared and cleaned as soon as made vacant. Service excellence food portion are large well presented and of a good standard. Will be going back whenever I can😁👴

Did not disappoint everything really good. Had my 2nd visit here today it was as good as the 1st.

This was my first visit with my two grandsons 11 and 6, the lady that served us seemed a little bit reserved but perfectly pleasant an efficient. Two full breakfasts and beans on toast were ordered with tea, coffee and a bottle of orange, the drinks arrived quickly. A few minutes passed and the youngest needed the toilet which are at the rear of the cafe and spotlessly clean, the food had arrived by the time we got back to the table. The presentation of the food was done in a very appealing way, with the baked beans in a small pot so not swamping the rest of the food unless you want to do it. The bacon had all the fat removed which I thought was another nice touch it is obviously they care and the taste and quality of the food proves it.

Staff remember everyone and chat to everyone. Best brunch in the city. Visiting home from Canada and it’s always the one place I want to go for their Bubble and Squeak

attended today in a group. 9 breakfasts plus drinks ordered and paid for at the same time. the host seemed to lose the drinks order and had to hunt it down. drinks finally started arriving 15 minutes after ordering, the same time as the food. not all meals where cooked as ordered. walked back in after leaving to use the gents and got barked at "excuse me sir, this is not a public toilet" very Christian this time of year in the cold.

What a super cafe, I only had a bacon sandwich due to lack of time but will definitely be back for a Full English as the plates coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. Good value for money and with plenty of parking this has to be the spot to come to if you're in the St Annes area. 5 stars all round.

Joined the Greek night special event yesterday evening, highly recommended, lots of great food..........too much really. Live authentic Greek music, maybe a bit loud but really made it special. A must do event.

Had the full English tea and toast didn't leave a single thing lovely great food and service thanks I 9nly mark one star down as a smile from the owner would go a long way

The man in here makes the best brew in England. Seriously his tea is the nicest cup of tea ever and the Scone with cream and jam is to die for. Portions are big and the cafe is beautifully decorated, bright and cheerful. A lovely hub of the local community. A million times worth the visit.

Can't complain. Go here in and out. Had 3 coffees, 3 egg and bacon sandwiches just short of £20 seams expensive for nothing special. No real vibe for me. 🫤

Collection and delivery not recommended. Usually a portion of chips or a paid added extra missing off of your order. I Usually take it on the chin and forget about it. But decided to call up and mention. The woman manager insisted that I was wrong..... How could I be when I physically have it in front of me and she is just going by memory? She was rude and hung up the phone. When all I was looking for is for some customer service saying OK just mention it next time and we will give you extra... Its easier to be nice than miserable. It's a shame because the food is alright.

Had lunch here today and, having just arrived in the UK, it was my first introduction to a Ploughman's Lunch, which I absolutely loved and is now one of my favorites. I ordered the one with ham while my husband ordered the one with Stilton's cheese. The generous portions was filling and wonderfully satisfying, what with the very balanced portions of bread, fresh greens with carrots, tomatoes, and cucumber, a very nice cabbage slaw, boiled egg, crisps, and pickles (I love the pickled onions and beet), with butter on the side. Delicious! The place is warm and cozy too. Two thumbs up! 😍

A popular local cafe with friendly staff that provides good food at a good price. Good selection of meals on the menu and great cakes at the counter. I chose an omelette today, picture attached.

If you want a jolly good breakfast ,a snack, lunch or afternoon tea this is the best in Bristol! The selection the atmosphere, the ambience and the superb attention by management and staff is second to none. With very reasonable prices too. My wife had their home made scone(fit for the Ritz) and I had the best bacon sarnie ever! Make sure you head down there soon, you won’t be disappointed ! We can’t wait to go back again! Great value for money, the good is excellent quality and cooked to a high standard, sets the standard most cafes can only dream of achieving. Would highly recommend.

Omg it's been soooo long since I've had a fabulous cooked breakfast in my favourite café. But it's back and it's open for dining inside. Only £6.50 for the set breakfast. Including tea/coffee and toast. I am stuffed! My girlfriends are queuing up to come and have breakfast with me. May do brunch soon too. Welcome back to everyone, customers and staff. Good to see the place is busy again. Fantastic food as always. Lets support our local area guys. You must eat here!! Xxx
