We regularly use the garden centre and cafe and have always found standards excellent. However, our last visit was marred by finding hair in our food. The young man in the kitchen could be seen preparing food with his hair falling down over his face that day. We were rather appalled as standards have always been amazing from the look of the plants and gardens to the toilets which are spotless, everyone seems to take great care in their work, so we hope this is just a one off as it is our go to place for all things garden, the staff are super friendly, knowledge and very helpful. Perhaps the staff could be encouraged to wear the appropriate PPE in the kitchen and cafe. We will be back and hope that the unfortunate incident won’t be repeated .

In a world where it costs nothing to be kind, I felt it was extremely important to feed back Today I visited the garden centre, to grab a few essentials, & as per came away with more! As an RHS qualified horticulturist, I was very impressed with Ann Marie’s knowledge & attention to detail I also witnessed her helping another female gardener/client to load her car…. Clearly very caring & thoughtful Made me smile & feel proud of us ‘strong, independent women’

Lovely classic cafe food served in a large capacity room with availability to sit outside if the weather permits. You can watch your children play happily on the great play equipment. Have a browse around the fantastic garden centre which stocks a huge variety of plants bought in by garden centre Manager Mark. Search out the awesome always happy and smiley Ann-Marie and she will answer all your gardening queries. She has a wealth of knowledge and is always happy to assist and nothing is too much trouble. She has helped me to transform my cottage garden. A lovely place to lose yourself for a few hours.

Our visit was originally to go to the Garden Centre for pots and compost. We saw people going to the top of the site and decided to follow and were we in for a surprise. A lovely modern cafe with an extensive breakfast menu and wide selection of cakes/snacks. We decided to order two breakfast (a vegi and a large traditional). After about 15 minutes, our order was brought to the table and I have to say we both throughly enjoyed our meals which were freshly cooked, hot and plentiful. The coffee and tea were also tasty and welcomed. There was lots of seating space both indoors and outdoors and the toilets (gents) was d spotless. We will certainly return back to this establishment which is fairly local to us. We did of course go to the Garden Centre bit and buy what we had originally come for.

Visited here for the first time, spent 15 mins waiting to be served at the till, then placed order for two toasted sandwiches which we were advised was a 20 min wait for. Limited Menus, not enough staff . Sadly the person serving on the till makes the coffee so this slows everything down. Sandwiches only and jacket potatoes, wont be back

Came to the garden centre for lunch with my parents and was really impressed. The cafe was clean and spacious. The menu was great with something suitable for everyone and at very reasonable prices. The food was served very quickly and we were very impressed with how good it was. We decided to have a wonder around the garden centre afterwards and it was lovely. There is a fantastic play area for kids and also some farm animals to see which was a nice touch. They have a vast variety of plants for sale, all reasonably priced, and also a great selection of gardening goods too. The till staff were very knowledgeable about the products and we were served by a lovely lady who was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back soon. Cannot recommend this garden centre enough - great staff, great food, good products, perfect for all ages, especially for young families.

Really made a great job of the new restaurant and play area for the children and the garden centre itself is very well stocked - so a 5 out of 5. Unfortunately, the same could not be said of the service in the restaurant itself. One poor lady under tremendous pressure having to do everything, including fetching cutlery from the kitchen when they ran out! Ordered cakes and tea ( fruit scone with butter/cream/jam which when it arrived was a plain scone and no butter). Not blaming her for one minute as the queue was getting longer and longer but throughout she kept her smile and was very polite indeed. So, please management, a little thought for your staff and ultimately, your customers.

Visited the restaurant for lunch. Very disappointed! Firstly the girl at counter advised they only had the one menu with limited light meals. However people on the next table were served gammon, eggs chips and salad, basically food that wasn't on the menu that we were given and told it was the only one. Also the bowl of chips we ordered were cooked in old fat and didn't taste nice at all. It wasn't cheap either. The original cafe used to serve a good variety of home cooked food, sadly no more. It's a great shame because Eastwood garden centre is such a nice place to take the children and they have a good selection of plants. We certainly won't be using the restaurant again.

Cafe itself 3 stars, facilities 5 hence a total review of 4 stars. The cafe is quite dated, with quite a traditional menu. Coffee is ok and reasonably priced. The facilities are amazing - big play area, toy cars, sand pits, play houses, pets corner. You could stay for hours. Food and drink average but definitely worth it to use the facilities.

Great small garden centre with a real garden! Pleasant atmosphere but food was a little disappointing compared to last visits. Had a sausage baguette which was very poor value compared to our favourite which is crammed packed with 4 items using very good quality items. Have noticed other fillings aren't so good either. shame as it's a really nice place. It would have been much better if sausage was a proper sausage not a cheap tasteless version and offer of onions would have made it more tasty.

I went there yesterday with my toddler and baby to meet with a friend and her 2 children (2 toddlers).Plenty of parking and free use of the playground, this place was already winning on my tick list for places to visit! The Garden Centre had everything there expected for a garden centre (a range of flowers and items for the garden - lovely decorations for the garden and reasonably priced too!) Our main objective was to go there for a playdate and a coffee and it was lovely. There are 2 play areas - one area has a sandpit, a two-tiered play house, a house climbing frame and a set of swings, the other park has the adventure playground, slides, swings, ride-on toys etc that can be utilised.Whilst the variety of snacks were limited, there was something for everyone to enjoy in there (Gluten Free options available too!). We had the sausage roll (which was delicious!) and coffees - all of which were well priced/cheap!My friend had mentioned that there is also a petting area for the children to visit animals - something of which I will be returning with my children to experience! The reason why I haven't given this place the full 5 stars is because that between the 2 parks was a hendge (approximately 8ft tall) that divided the 2 parks. Whilst it couldn't be helped by the park, there were also wasps that were constantly attacking us! I would recommend this place as somewhere for the children to play and for the adults to have a catch up.

We stayed at Eastwood park as our friends had their wedding reception there. Beautiful location and building. When we checked in we were told that were in 'the garden wing'. We were quite excited and were anticipating a beautiful view overlooking the grounds. When we arrived to our room there was nothing to do but laugh. Calling it 70s decor would not really give you a real idea of how awful our room was. So here is a breakdown View onto what looked like an air conditioning unit Cord like carpet that creates a static like reaction when moving across the roomTacky and dated 'accessories' from poundland Bathroom that your great grandmother would've been proud of Broken toilet (cistern didn't fill up and made constant noise) Dodgy doors that didn't fit (like an inch gap) Poor sound proofing, especially when the cleaning staff decided to have a chat about their mate Brian whilst working in the corridor. In summary, if you want the nostalgia of revisiting your primary school trip dorm rooms, then you're in the right place. The only thing this place is missing is the bunk beds.

Few picnic benches there and a few more outside tea room. There's a small animal area with pig's, goats, rabbits, hamsters etc. The tea room is small but pleasant. We've only been at quiet times but imagine they'd struggle at busy periods. Coffee is always on the weak side unfortunately! They only thing that let's it down is the sewage smell around the play area and out door eating area ..and if the breeze is blowing your way....poo-hoo!!

A fairly large group of us called in here as a quick stop while riding to Weston and back, over a 200 mile ride. The café was busy and combined with everyone waiting to be served we lost a lot of valuable time. Not really the cafés fault, but they seemed to struggle with a large volume of people in one hit, some confusion over who had ordered what? However, when the food arrived it was nice and tasty and the staff were all friendly. If we are down this way again doing a similar stupid length ride then we will call in again, but if its busy then we probably would not stop.

Take a punt on the Grumpy Griffin. It might be your lucky day but then again you might regret it. A mixed set of results from customers. Mine was negative. No real ale. Only a few peeps on Sunday mid-afternoon and one was drunk as a Lord and seemingly spoiling for trouble. Background music was fine. Quality tv showing a premiership game. Just cider, lager and Guinness on tap. Feels like a local pub where others are not made welcome.
