Winter Stream Farm in South Gloucestershire

Not gourmet dining but fantastic value and lovely cosy atmosphere. The bar staff give incredible service, its almost as if they enjoy their jobs and want to be there! A rarity in todays world and makes me want to go back time and time again.

Best Vanilla slice ever! I had the last one, which I think made it taste even better. Then when I left, I walked into the exotic car park, very spacious, again the best car park I have ever seen!

Had a fab time this evening, bangers and mash was excellent, didn’t have to wait long like some places, I once waited 3 hours for a delivery with 3 separate deliveries from another pub but not here!!!!! loads of space in the exotic car park, so much space I could bury the ex under it!!!! Will be returning 👍🏼

Place was empty. Carvery, meat was lovely but the vegetables were terrible dry,stale . Should have changed it all . Won't be back

Wow. This place was busy today, Sunday. We booked a table which was free and clean for when we arrived. We had a carvery for Sunday lunch which was good. I had a piece of beef that was mostly fat, but after I let the waitress know, she brought me another much better piece without question. She also came back over a few minutes later to check that it was okay. Everyone enjoyed their food, and we ordered a dessert to takeaway. There was a definite lack of staff, though, and that meant that those working had to, in my opinion, work too hard. A nice experience overall with good food and helpful, but busy staff.

Great carvery. Mark the chef was very friendly spoke to me about breakfast with Santa for the kids 🤗 We always love coming here as it's the only restaurant that's great for young children and food always good and reasonably priced. Would always recommend to friends and family.

Had a HUGE portion of curry which was a nice surprise, Mark at the bar was great at accommodating my extra requests and ended the meal with a big fat eclair 😋

Visited on a Saturday and was promptly met and sat down, ordered at the bar quickly with a lovely guy called Mark. Food came out in good timing and was all freshly cooked! All was very tasty and definitely will come back to try some other things that peaked my interest.

The staff are amazing! Had a great chat with the assistant manager while ordering food and drinks. Even though they were very busy, he made it feel like he had all the time for us.

Last time I visited Winterstream Park it was not good, however this visit was so much better, the service and food was very enjoyable. I will certainly be visiting again in the future.

Visited with a friend today. Placed our drink/food order with a friendly and polite young lady by the name of Sara who although was tired after attending Uni earlier in the day, she still had a kind, friendly and warm smile on her face and was very polite and pleasant towards us. Really enjoyed the food also and it was a calm relaxing atmosphere.

Carvery was absolutely spot on. The meat was cooked to perfection. Great food from chef Mark. Great and fast service by staff.

Went for a mid week roast. Was served by Mark the chef. My niece had a few requests and he was more than happy to help. He could also see that there was not much food left to choose from so went out the back to get some more. Lovely guy.

Had a fab time this evening serving staff were as always friendly and cheerful, I was particularly impressed with how one of the staff dealt with an unhappy customer and how professional and polite they were even though the customer was being rude and ridiculous they seemed to do all they could for them. The food was lovely I’m a big fan of the carvery and have this most times we visit. We will be back many many times over

We was out of area visiting but was very impressed with the service from all the staff,all very polite and friendly.Will definitely visit again if in that area.

Went this morning for breakfast. First time in about 3 years. The system has completely changed and the quality is awful. Half the breakfast choices weren't available at 20.10am but Yorkshire pudding was on offer. The coffee was in flasks that didn't work as was the milk. The toast is mow remade for you instead of self serve and it was burnt and cold no jam on offer only marmalade. I'm afraid that will be my last visit the quality of food and service has dropped significantly and the prices soared.

Had a carvery around 7:30pm. Food looked like it had been there for hours. Dry but cold veg and pigs in blankets were burnt beyond edible. No turkey, beef was more grissle, the gammon was nice but again cold. Redeemed only by the very pleasant server on the bar. Managed to up the one star rating to two.

I have been living in Bradley Stoke for 4 years, and today was the first time in this restaurant. I asked for a large carvery which cost £14.99, and a large glass of soft drink which cost £3.60. If I also wanted pig in blankets, it would cost an extra £2. The cuts of meat are small. Half of the thin slice of beef was tendon, which could not be eaten. I paid 18.59 pounds. To this price I add 4.40 pounds, and go to an all you can eat restaurant. So this restaurant is a robbery. Potatoes, and vegetables are very cheap.

Me and my wife came today as we had a code for a standard carvery and a cake for £10 each (we had codes for 4 visits so we had been coming once a week for the past few weeks) We were always made very welcome at the bar with the super friendly staff ..we placed our food and drinks order there. We were served at the carvery by Mark and JR who were super helpful and super friendly… Mark made sure I didn’t go hungry and was happy to hear that I love my food and if it goes on the plate it goes in my belly 🤣 Had a great choice of items which you serve yourself (except the meat and Yorkshire) I especially loved the roast potatoes and the mash also broccoli was available today. The smiles on our faces should be all you need to know. 🎈😃 Our desserts (chocolate fudge cake and carrot cake) were massive and so tasty they were brought over by Harrison who remembered us from previous visits he was super nice and friendly. Overall for £35 between us (we had a bottle of wine) it was unbelievably fantastic value. We ate every bit (but I doubt I will need feeding for 24 hours or so 🤣😁) Thank you winter stream for looking after us so well ❤️❤️❤️

Great place, very big, accommodating for big family meals, was around 14 of us, food was great, most of us had carvery, cakes were huge, had mine to go, ate it after a J, was the best decision ever. Staff were friendly, great service from Katherine. Highly recommend!

WSF is clearly a very popular eatery, but it's definitely not for me! Although the portions are super-sized, my cavery meal could have done with a bit of seasoning. The apple and raisin sponge was equally big but neither looked nor tasted like a traditional sponge cake. Whilst the service was good, I wonder whether staff could have also monitored the play area? Arguably, that shouldn't have been their responsibility. Yes, some parents/carers were watching their children, but clearly, from my observations, others weren't as committed. There was an age restriction notice above the play area, but it didn't take much to notice that some of the children playing in the area were well over 5 years old. No second visit for me, I'm afraid.

The cake is amazing, a meal in itself.

Can I say that the service I have just received is incredible. John was so friendly and professional, nothing was to much trouble. I felt like he cared and was genuinely happy to make my visit important. I don't believe he was trying to hard, I got the impression that that was him. If only all staff were like him, Credit to your company.

Very relaxed atmosphere with pleasant helpful staff, choice of menu or carvery meals. We both had a carvery, the meat was cooked to perfection as was the large choice of vegetables. The excellent apple and black berry sponge was huge with lots of custard. Will be back here when we next visit the Bristol area. Good parking and wheelchair friendly, EV charging points. Nice clean toilets.

It’s just a grim place to go for a carvery. They have one person serving at the bar meaning queues are often 20 people deep. As for the carvery, the roast potatoes are barely roasted, the carrots are practically raw, the roasted parsnips taste more like they’ve been boiled and the gravy has the consistency for water. The service is terrible and cleanliness is frankly disgusting. Tables surrounding us were left with dirty plates for 30+ minutes, there was food all over the carpet that hadn’t been cleaned up by previous guests and the drinks ordered through the app took half an hour to turn up. Won’t be going back - ever. Probs the worst meal out I’ve ever had in Bristol.

Mark was super helpful when getting us sat down and checking on us with our food. food was brilliant and staff were great.

We came across this place on the way to our hotel as my wife was treating me to night away as soon as we entered the premises we was welcomed by a man called mark who wished me a happy birthday not knowing my wife ad booked us a table so that was a nice suprise food was 10/10 and all the workers were so nice and welcoming especially mark will deffo be back again
