We had a fabulous family meal. Josh and Jack were extremely friendly and helpful.

We all had carvery. The beef was perfect - just pulled apart with my fork. There was a wide choice of fresh veg which was not overcooked. All the staff we encountered were really friendly and couldn't have been more helpful - shout out to 🤩🤩🤩 Johnny, Freya and Chef Mark 🤩🤩🤩for making our meal at Winterstream Farm memorable one. And it didn't end there. We bought Cakeaway 🍰😋. The Triple Layer Lemon cake was divine. The sponge was light and the filling and frosting was just the right mix of sweet citrus creaminess🍋 🍰😋🍋🍰😋🍋🍰

Everyday carvery, kids play area, friendly staff, nice atmosphere and very good food

Veg left and dried out, was also luke warm. Beef was chewy and really hard to cut through. Had to wait ages for service. Parts of the restaurant was dirty and the toilets need a good scrub.

Got two too good to go breakfast boxes from here and both were great!

The carvery was good but thay are extremely tight on the meat 🍖 you can have extra meat and pigs in blanket but it's extra money 💰 I also think it's a bit over priced. Best bit was the gravy, that was lush!

My only negative comment would be the unsupervised considerably older children in the u der5's area climbing on top of the tree house and taking the blocks from the younger children We ( a party of 10) all enjoyed our food which was very tasty. Second visit here and enjoyed both times especially as had 2 under 5's with us . The play area being a bonus for us

Click & collect? I don't think so... Click, turn up, told to go to the carvery counter and fill up your own takeaway pots. With zero help from staff... to be told that's how it's done now. Sounds OK... can pick as much or as little as you like of each item. But trying to balance numerous containers as you do so is impossible. There isn't even enough space on the counter for the container to safely sit. Other customers are queueing up behind and quite rightly getting frustrated as it takes me ages. I then had to join another queue after to get the desert. I was in there for over 30 minutes on a "Click and collect" You wouldn't expect one person who is sitting in at the pub to come up and get the food for their entire table in one go, so why expect takeaway to do it. Before, I have turned up and they just give it to you. I asked what's changed and they said its because they don't have an allergen disclaimer on their website. So put one there, you pick food for uber eats... use their disclaimer if you must. Staff couldn't care less when I spoke to them about it. Shame, last time I went there I had to show staff I left a 5 star review in exchange for free desert.

We visited on a Monday at 4 pm. It was really quiet and we sat in the kids area as we had our toddler and baby I would like to add that for children. It’s perfect lots to do and really nice decor in the area. They have made a lot of effort. Me and my partner had the carvery it was £8.99 for a standard. The meat was absolutely amazing I had the beef and it was really tender, My partner had the gammon and it was melting in his mouth. Everything was so tasty. It was the best roast we’ve had out even paying over £20 for one roast ! And we’ve been to fair few . Desserts are amazing definitely worth trying and huge portions ! Staff were lovely and all so friendly and cheerful , we passed into the manageress how impressed we were with the food . Looking forward to visiting again really soon x

We come in most Wednesdays for a drink and are always welcomed by the staff, JR always has 5 mins to talk to us. Food is always hot and tasty and drinks always cold!

It's been a while since visiting here. I'm not a fan of being left to wait and being ignored by bar staff who think their phone is more important. The food was 'ok' but definately not the quality it used to be.

Food was not even luke warm we had Sunday carvery, seen more meat on a Sparrow than on my plate, miserable bloke behind the counter carving, will never return, horrible place.

Good carvery, with plenty of choice. Also, offer smaller plates.

I came in yesterday for a collection. I didn’t catch the guys name who served me but I think he was the manager. He was really friendly making sure I had everything I needed before leaving. Offered to get some gravy pots to take away as well. The food was also really good and the meat was full of flavour and not dry like some places. Excellent costumer service and very friendly staff and over all a very great experience, even for a takeaway.

Great customer service ! Went in for a too good to go , unfortunately they had ran out of the carvery. The manager kindly compensated me with a huge slice of delicious chocolate cake which really made up for it!

Had such a lovely 21st Birthday meal here tonight, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful and overall was a lovely meal!

We've got 4 kids and if eating out this is the best choice for us. We can relax while the kids play in a place that enclosed and doesn't mind if they're noisy. The other end of the venue is great if you want to avoid that noise too. Always great staff and often has offers on too 👍

We were here to celebrate a family birthday. The staff were excellent, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was welcoming. The play area was small but provided an area for our grandson to roam and play with other children.

Carvery is really good! I was always a toby carvery fan until I tried this place! The huge menu caters for all, whether you want a burger, carvery, chicken and chips! It's all here. The kids seem to love it and you can't argue the cakeaway is always standout! We've fallen in love with the morning breakfasts they do here! Unlimited and very high quality! Eggs are always perfect and the black pudding has to be my favourite here! We've made it a tradition to come here on a morning before a long road trip! Atmosphere is chilled out and quiet most of the time. Seats aren't very comfortable and at times the place can feel a bit vast and empty, but apart from that. Lovely staff with a sense of humour, huge range of drinks, soft and alcoholic! Great for groups and large parties due to the size of the place!

Joshua is a top notch lad and provided excellent customer service. Variety is the spice of life but, ketchup doesn't go on a carvery although, it takes all sorts to make a world (did I get all of them!?).

Family Christmas meal. I didn't go for the carvery, thought I would have a change BUT what a let down that was. A dry chicken and leek pie, dry chips that I had to smother in gravy and garden peas! Carvery meals were the same as any weekend during the year. They also ran out of *pre ordered* deserts so those that had pre ordered them had to have something else. It wasn't busy so they could have cleaned the place up ie., swept up other diners food that was all over the floor and cleaned the tables off (dirty plates, glasses and food still on the tables) for the whole time we were there surrounding our tables to make it a bit more pleasant to eat in for us. We had to dodge the food to get to our table when we arrived plus dodge the food on the floor when going to the toilets or going up and down to get the carverys and drinks. I would have said all this at the time but I didn't want to cause a scene and embarrass my family who were there to have a nice time.

Just been for a Too Good to Go breakfast and this time it was made up ready and we weren't allowed to choose our own things. We got black pudding, Tomato , scrambled egg and mushrooms, all if which we dont like and never used to choose when we chose it ourselves. I know these are for what's left but they had lots left on the counter this time. We certainly won't be back again for another, which is a shame as it was the best in the area. It's no better than the Toby now, in fact I think the Toby is now a better option.

The website wasn’t clear enough so I thought I had booked a Christmas meal but turned up and was given a regular booking. I spoke with the manager and she accommodated us beautifully as this was our family Christmas meal. Lots of staff were available and seemed happy to be working Boxing Day. All round pleasant visit and wonderful staff.

We booked for Christmas lunch December 2024. We. have been to the Winterstream for the last few years on Christmas day as well as lunch many times during the year. We arrived at 1 2.45 and shown to our table. My sons went to the bar and returned with the drinks. So far so good. 1.30 (45 mins) later the starters arrived and we all enjoyed. From then on everything went down hill. I had to collect our plates and put them on the bar. We went to the carvery and selected our mains. The veg was cold and none of us could eat the potatoes as they were so hard. By now there was a queue waiting to be seated, some had to wait outside as the queue was so long. By now we had waited over an hour for the dessert, coffee and mince pies. We had visitors coming at 4.00 so we had to leave without having our dessert. My husband sent an e-mail complaining. We received a reply with a £10 voucher. Just an insult!!!!! Never again.

The service was really good same with the food

Been here for a few Christmas Days but this one was awful. Hardly any staff around and we waited nearly an hour for our starters. We then cleared our own table to accommodate the carvery. After the carvery we again had to clear our own table to await the puddings. We waited and waited but nothing arrived. After 3 hours here we left not having had dessert. Not an enjoyable experience

Went to Winterstream farm today had a lovely carvery at very competitive price unfortunately managed to spill a whole pint of orange juice over my eldest son's carvery the assistant manager swiftly cleaned the table replaced the drink and food so went above Nd beyond to make everyone ok. Thanks to all the staff and keep up the good work

Saturday night in December but completely dead and no atmosphere...... not even any background music

Had a large table booked. Although had to wait a while in queue to order, the staff worked extremely hard and hardly came up for air. Food and drinks were good.

Took children and friends children for our annual christmas supper, the food was fab, the children love the play area and the service was exemplary. Would like to mention RJ,, the assistant manager, he is brilliant with the children and makes a point of remembering their names which is lovely and makes for a lovely visit, thank you for making it so lovely

Came on boxing day for food with the kids. Kids both had carvery and the waiter/server was very happy and charming. Kids enjoyed the food and excellent service. Will come again

We came as a family for four for Christmas day lunch. The staff were amazing as was the food. Starters, mains and desserts were all fabulous. Shout out to Chef Mark who helped my husband who has just had a knee operation. Yes it was busy but our experience was so good that we will be booking again next year. Thank you all for a great Christmas day lunch.

Great family friendly pub with a 7 day carvery, prices are affordable and also a decent menu for adults and children not wishing to eat a carvery. Huge cakes available to buy at the bar for takeaway because most people are stuffed after a carvery...also a small soft play area for under 5's along with a few toy grab machines and small rides

We done breakfast with Santa today and it was fantastic! My 8,10 and 15 year old loved it. All still believe(eldest is autistic) they know it's not the real one because he's too busy! The Santa was fantastic, I didn't realise he would come to the table and sit down to talk. He knew all about the latest toys and games as well as some great jokes! We done Disney last year and honestly your Santa was the best! Highly recommend! Great price, great food... Santa and the team topped it all!

Absolutely delicious. Tbh I could have split it and had 2 meals out of it. The veg was cooked perfectly and the beef melted in your mouth. Best carvery I’ve had in a very long time.

It's quite a nice place for lunch and drink. The food is nice, and the atmosphere is good. Free, spacious car park, although I would recommend making a booking as it can be quite busy as well.

Four years ago I left a bad review, but after hearing about a change in management, I thought I would give it a try again. WOW, what a difference! Staff are now knowledgeable about allergens, kind, fast and efficient. Chef Mark was lovely and didn’t skimp out on the meat! He said he wants every customer to leave with a smile and come back - you can tell that by how he treats customers! He absolutely needs some recognition!

Absolutely outstanding evening tonight , people only write reviews when they are disappointed and It was a must to put this on . We have been out as a family this evening , the kids were made up they could play , it’s was an amazing atmosphere with Christmas parties , the decorations were great , the food was spot on , the desserts are next level !! Most of all the staff are so lovely , Josh has been amazing from start to finish , he made such everything was sorted and accommodated for , we also had staff ring to double check on the day . They are so friendly & down to earth . The prices are so cheap and all I can say if you are wanting an all round massive tick from everyone you won’t be disappointed. If your expectations are that carvery food will always be perfect it’s unrealistic . If you’re going out to have a good time and not to pick faults - you will not want to miss this . 5* from me and my family - thank you !!

A comfortable atmosphere with genuinely friendly staff. The meats are good but what I like most for the carvery here is the potato/veg selection. Always a good number of options with good flavour. Prices are also very reasonable.

Went there for a birthday meal , and I must say the portion of meat was small gammon and beef, the gammon was lovely but the beef , couldn’t even cut it with a knife, so tough !!!

We had a huge booking of 26 people for the festive menu, and considering the amount of us, the orders were bang on, all pre ordered in advance for ease. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Special mention for JR the manager, he helped me with pre ordering, organising and answered all my queries. Nothing was too much trouble. A great team 👏 👍 I would definitely come back again, especially for large group bookings. Thank you for a lovely evening!
