Our first time in the area so popped in for dinner and a drink one evening. Bar staff were super welcoming and friendly right off the bat, and the new general manager was lush too. Food came out nice and quickly and was absolutely delicious - couldn't believe the portion size for the price! The pub is clean, cozy and great value for money. A lovely little find, will definitely be returning!

We went to the Turnpike to have a meal for my birthday witch is tomorrow

Unfortunately a rather disappointing meal. Ordered a meal without cheese and it came with cheese, admittedly they did replace it quickly but simply swapped the chicken breast and cheese slice over for another, I would’ve expected a new burger. Staff seemed more interested in moaning about how understaffed they were and moaning about other customers whilst serving drinks. Didn’t expect much but can’t imagine we’ll be back in a hurry.

Really good 👍 but we have very small appetites.wouid not be enough for younger members of our family.

Management is extremely rude and obnoxious, moved to a different table when there was no sign on the table we was sat on that we couldn't sit there. Found the women manager unbelievably rude.

Love going to The Turnpike as its only a bus ride away and the food is great and affordable. Lots on the menu to choose from. Staff are very helpful and polite. Nice and tidy, even though pub was very busy we didn't have to wait long for our food to come out and it was piping hot. Tables were cleaned as soon as people had finished. Great atmosphere too.

Short staffed could not get a drink, ordered the sizzling mixed grill, arrived at 5.15 so say ran out of sizzling plates with only several diners eating at this time. Food was cold not sizzling.

Fantastic tasty food with great Greek options, friendly service, great value.

Went for the first time and was very impressed! The drink selection was brilliant, the food menu, although big, had many things I'd like to try. Eventually ended up trying one of their sizzling grills, and the food was some of the best pub food I've had in years! Everything was clean and tidy and very welcoming, especially the blond lady behind the bar, who I'm guessing was the manager! Brilliant service, will be back again!

6 of us went for a family meal out. Every one of us had some thing missing from our plate that was on the menu. My partner returned her meal and the replacement that came out was as advertised. Not very consistent. If you need to have anything removed from your meal, one of our party has issues with onions, it's all pre packed so not much luck. 5 meals came out and then a long wait for the 6th meal. We had to ask where it was. Good selection of drinks which was needed to fill the time waiting for the 6th meal. Deserts are very nice and a good selection

Came to this lush little pub the other day, the service I received was lovely, the food was great price and arrived hot and tasty. The staff were great, the assistant manager Scott served me and helped me. He was very accommodating and couldn’t do enough to help and make my vist more pleasurable.

Quite a decent chicken tikka Masala here. Sizzle plates are good value. Enjoyed the quiz night.

Very tasty food, good portion sizes and arrived quickly. TV's and music on but not too loud so just a nice volume of happy customers chatting. Raining so no-one really sat outside but would be nice if the sun ever comes out! Handy location, free car park, good prices. We've been here several times, as a couple and a group and will come again.

Ordered fish and chips, with extra chips and didn't receive what I paid for. It's a shame as the food was very nice, and very hot. The customer service is great from the Turnpike, Uber Eats are just abysmal, any excuse to not refund or offer an alternative.

12 of us came to lunch after my Grandads funeral. 12 mains, multiple sides and deserts for all plus drinks throughout the afternoon. Service was absolutely amazing and they couldn't do more to help us. Food was piping hot and everything tasted amazing. Such good value for money! Will 100% be returning and we are so glad we picked the Turnpike!!

I ordered a table for 14 people on a Saturday afternoon, Scott was very helpful, I put a list of all meals needed a week before. We arrived, staff were very friendly and helpful. Meals all came out at once and were very tasty and good value for money. We were not rushed. I would definitely book here again and highly recommend. Thankyou very much to Scott and his staff.

Came in here with my gyal the other day. Absolutely 💯 banging steak, my missus got the gyros wrap and that was proper pucker too. Will be back again Absolutely mint.

Food we had was nice and service friendly but the first thing I wanted was out of stock and so was my second choice. Then my wife was informed the curly fries she had ordered were also out of stock so she went with regular chips after all. I just find it a bit shocking for a place to be out of numerous items from their menu.

Ordered a sizling mixed grill,they ran out of onions so it came on a plate.it wasn't explained to me they had ran out of onions.the.meal didn't look.apitizing and appeard under tempreture.it was cold.it wasn't good as I'd paid for a sizzler.all I wanted was communication.i believe the land lady spoke quietly.and apologised I never got my chosen sauce and my husband went with.out his mushy peas the whole wait took an hour to be put right and they did give us a apology with a free drink.not a good experience so won't go in again.they don't do you a sizing meal without the onions.

The staff were friendly but the food wasn’t great. Halloumi starter was tiny! Then over an hour wait until the main course. Paid £2 surcharge for belly of pork which was under seasoned and not much thicker than a bacon rasher. The vegetables it came with were awful. Peculiar taste, oily. We couldn’t be bothered to complain because we’d been there long enough and wanted to leave. Complete waste of money and time. A real miserable experience.

The food was only ok, to be expected of a pub chain menu, but the service was good, and the atmosphere very warm and friendly.

The service was absolutely terrible. Had to go and ask how much longer for our drinks as we ordered on the app. Then nearly an hour later had to go and ask how much longer for food. Customers were coming in after us and being served before us. Its a shame as I had 2 disabled people with me. They said they would never go back.

Lovely food and staff, unfortunately had to wait a long time which is unusual but staff were up against it training new staff while being short staffed! They did a great job against the odds!

We ordered Loaded Surf and Turf and a Mega mixed grill. Both asked for our steaks to be medium. We ordered at 12 behind 2 others at the bar and waited 50 minutes for our meal, which were the first 2 meals out of the kitchen. The surf & turf was not sizzling, the meat was tough and chips were cold. The sausages and chicken in mega mixed grill was shrivelled and dry and I did query at the bar the size of the chicken because it looked like it was sliced down the middle. It looked like it should have been on the classic mixed grill which was stated half a chicken fillet. My chips were cold too. My mum didn’t complain to the bar as there were lots of customers waiting in the queue and tables were full. The table of 3 near us got their food next and we’re before us to order, we’re complaining about the quality of their food as well and the time it took to arrive.
