The best restaurants in Sedgemoor South West

Avoid this place at all cost. Had a chicken madras and tasted nice enough but the following morning I knew about it, could not keep anything down not even water waited till the following day to phone the doctors and they said it was common affects of food poisoning. That is 3 locals in cheddar now that have got food poisoning from spice cottage. Think I will be sticking to rasio going forward, have not heard of anyone getting food poisoning from there.

Popped in on Sunday for a light lunch but they were only serving Sunday roast. We didn't want a huge meal as we were going out for dinner that evening with family. We asked the server if we could just order the kids carvery, she said if you want a kids meal go to McDonald's! We just ordered drinks and didn't order a meal and have never gone back since. Such a shame that she doesnt realise that customer's pay her wages and it doesn't matter what they order. Go to the Packhorse Inn. They have fantastic food and friendly staff.

Good coffee and milkshake. Nice, big teacakes. Quick and pleasant service.

We went for a Xmas Party and had a 3 course carvery meal and entertainment with the Pashy Pops. Food was 5 star delicious. Staff first rate , very friendly. Evening was spoilt by the Pashy Pops who shouted out the music all night. They can sing but need to learn how to use their musical equipment. We had to move away as couldn't bear the blast of noise that came from the stage. Simply awful.

A welcoming pub serving good beer. We were happy to find this place, ordered drinks and sat down at one of the dining tables. The smell of urine in the whole area was overwhelming. It smelt like cats pee, but may have been dog given that the owners and other dogs had free range. Sorry to say that this has put us off returning or eating.

Tried various of their lagers after 1mouthful all went flat. Tables reserved and quite clearly no one at them. Very much a place where your face has to fit!!!

Food was great hot will return service was good sit in front part of building you can people watch...

A well place cafe on the prom. Nothing too special. All ok though.

Best restaurant in town!! Highly recommend the fried chicken, the omelettes and the saag aloo, i honestly can’t put into words how impressed i am!!

Advertised as open until 8 it isn't, it's opened until 7. When I mentioned this staff were either aloof or rude. Was told to look at the sign on the door, and "It is was it is!". Poor! Coffee was average. Go somewhere else!

Lovely pub. Go out there several times a week. Great atmosphere, always making us welcome.

I've lived near Bridgwater for a year and a half and that was the best chicken and Donner mixed kebab I've had. Really really good tonight.

Avoid at all costs. Been here a few times before & was excellent. Obviously has new tennants who havent got a clue how to run a pub. Friday night was fish night and yet they only had white fish, which was grey and mushy & had a thick soggy batter.Was told it was cod, probably minnow given the size of the fish in the batter.Chips were soggy and were rubbery. This pub was dark,cold and empty on a friday night ,this should have rung alarm bells. Needless to say declined to pay the bill.,
