The Walnut Tree in Sedgemoor

A one night stay attending a family event. We booked the Walnut Tree at short notice based entirely on its location being convenient for my mother's house. We were greeted by Daniel who was friendly, cheerful and helpful on each occasion we dealt with him during our stay. We were impressed by the room size, which was quiet and clean with a bed we found very comfortable. While the menu in the room information looked interesting and reasonably priced, we were pre-booked elsewhere so cannot comment. The breakfast was excellent, however, with a buffet and cooked options. Wifi worked well in all areas. Fantastic value for money and so much nicer than the chain hotel offerings. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely evening visiting the Bridgwater Rotary Club - what a great venue. Good food and very helpful staff.

Booked 2 double rooms. On arrival got told that one of the rooms mattress is wet and they can’t give the room to us.(what kind of hotel don’t have spare mattress ??) They put us 2 in one twin room and didn’t refund any money.

Stayed for 2 nights with breakfast. The breakfast was lovely plenty to choose from and a nice cooked English breakfast. The room was spacious but dirty. Mould around windows, grime under the sink, rubbish shower and out dated furniture Wouldn’t stay again

I read great overnight stay with big room size, all needed amenities and the breakfast was very tasty! I will definitely stay here once again if I travel there

Rooms were spacious but no lift to our room with a large suitcase but the offer of assistance was made.

Excellent Room, friendly staff. Fantastic place to relax and unwind.

I popped in for a drink and was left waiting for over 20 minutes. No bar staff present, good job I'm honest as I could easily of helped myself. A rather pompous young man eventually served me but was more interested in answering his phone. He then left the bar unattended. If this establishment is trying to attract passing trade they are doing an awful job of it . I ran a pub for over 40 years and I've would never had provided such awful service. With the competition nearby they need to recess their business.

We had a lovely meal here yesterday evening. We had to wait for the food but I guess that meant it was freshly prepared. Also had to go in search of someone to order coffee. They'd disappeared. Great food, lovely evening

A very nice place. Would have given 5 stars but when you order a lager with a dash of lime you should not be charged extra for the lime.
