The best restaurants in East Dorset South West

the manager was totally unhelpful. I needed help with the ordering machine he very reluctantly helped. The hot water machine barely worked. His manner was abrasive and had no idea of customer care. A really terrible experience.

Went into the hut to have breakfast but had to walk out for the smell of stale fat from the kitchen and they had not started yet was sickening, how anyone can sit in there with that smell is beyond me and pay top end prices. We left and walked down the hill and went past the back of the kitchen and had to hold our breath until we got passed it

Our Sunday lunch was excellent with good food and good service. After many years of poor performance the inn is now back to the high standards of 20 or more years ago.

Havnt been to this pub in roughly 10 years or so. Stopped for a drink in the garden with our daughter on the way back from Moors Valley she absolutely loved the little play area in the garden. I have to say we were impressed a lovely clean tidy pub good atmosphere and friendly staff. Will definitely return if in the area.

Staying in this area for a few days and this is the second truly awful meal we have experienced. Sunday lunch, the food was cold and looked dreadful,limp veg, gravy by the lump. We would have sent it back but as we had waited over an hour for it to be served it was too late to reject the food and try elsewhere. I live fairly near this village and we have some wonderful restaurants, unfortunately this is not one of them. Never again, a frozen ready meal would be much better than the food we were presented with. When I complained my complaint was dismissed by the staff. The only part of the meal acceptable was the glass of red wine!

The food is always good, the prices are good, it’s dog friendly which is great,with lots of room and very comfortable. The food is always excellent, same the coffee and tea, good service. A pleasure to visit in all ways, long may it continue,

Have ordered several times from Top Wok in Ferndown and the food is always good. Everything in the order was delicious, however the seaweed was very very poor indeed. Sadly we served all our food on plates & put the seaweed on top but the seaweed was inedible. It was like eating straw, so I did call and mention it as I thought they should try it themselves before serving any more to customers. That being said, the king prawns in black bean sauce, the sweet & sour pork, Singapore noodles, chicken chow mein & prawn crackers were all divine. We will order again.

Such a great little place, the whole staff is so kind and welcoming especially the owner she is so sweet. The food has never disappointed and is well worth the price. I definitely recommend this place!

Stayed two nights and staff were all very friendly, had several meals and food was all very tasty. We will ddefinately be coming back handy location too very near tje town centre

Slow and dry and pricey I’m afraid. Flat white was more like a cappuccino and brown sauce was in an hp bottle that had been clearly refilled with own brand 100s of times!
