I had lunch recently at the Café, and was impressed. I ordered the Quiche Lorraine and a coffee, service was good (Emily was brilliant) and my drink and food arrived quickly, and was well presented!

I would sack a member of my staff if they spoke to a potential customer the way this sullen young lady spoke to me. Quite unprovoked because I was only being pleasant. Bad enough, except that her colleague entering the order had a similar sneering attitude. Luckily for the owners there was one slightly older member of staff who was pleasant and doing her best. There was no hot food as the chef was ill, fair enough, but packet style chocolate cake, and very weak latte did little to change our first impression. A pity, we were regulars before the business changed hands.

Great food at excellent prices in a lovely location. Staff very helpful and friendly- altogether a nice place for good food and ambience.

Fantastic staff who go out of their way to accommodate any dietary requirements. Needed a special slimming lunch and they were extremely helpful.

I visited with a few friends and my husband not so long ago, and it was overall an extremely pleasant experience. The cafe looked clean and tidy, with a relaxed enviroment. We ordered some delicious coffees, which came quickly, tasted wonderful and were served nice and hot; so there was definite value for money there! I believe it was roughly £3.20 for a large. My husband and I also ordered a breakfast each, whilst ordering I was asked if I would like to substitute any items which I thought was rather handy. Food arrived relatively fast, I would estimate around 20 minutes? It was quite busy in the cafe so we were expecting a slightly longer wait. An extremely tasty breakfast, the only fault I can think of was a lack of butter with my toast, which a friendly waitress sorted for me politely. Another important thing, my friends looked at the cakes and noted that they all seemed to be gluten free, some even dairy free! I will be recommending this cafe to many. A big thank-you to all of the staff for this brilliant trip out! 👍🏻

This is a cafe in Wimborne the prices for drinks base them self on a cafe in Mayfair Plus the prices are never the same price can of beer £5.50 cup of tea £3.50 never again

The service was wonderful, we didn’t have to wait long, the breakfast was the best I’ve ever had in Wimborne and the lovely atmosphere there too. Well done to the team at the Allendale Centre I have no idea why there’s so many bad reviews. I’ve been there a couple of times now and it’s always been amazing. It’s such a lovely community centre which I hope will be going for many years to come

We go to Wimborne regularly and call in at the cafe allendale The staff cannot do enough for you always cheerful .The food is superb as is the choice.Lovely comfatable surroundings.

Service was slow, prices were as expensive as restaurants and coffee didn't taste as good as I get elsewhere. Would not go there again.

My friend and I both ordered a toasted sandwich on granary bread with side salad. When it came it was very poor quality of bread and the filling was mean. It was also overpriced. Also their dairy alternative to cow’s milk contained sugar which I can’t have. Would recommend them to invest in Unsweetened alternative which will be highlighted on the front of the carton.

On our previous visit here on a Saturday lunch time the place was nearly empty but this time it was very busy, probably due to a couple of events taking place in the town. We ordered coffee and two hot lunches, and at no time were we made aware there might be a delay in the food coming out. The coffee arrived in a reasonably short time but it was a full 45 minutes from ordering before our food appeared. We felt sorry for the young waitresses who were constantly being asked when their order would arrive. The food, when it finally reached us, was good but waiting so long when you are hungry is far from ideal. We also noticed that it was taking a long time for the tables to be cleared, which was off-putting for people arrriving and looking for a table. I'm not saying we won't return but another time we would be sure to check how busy the establishment is before committing.

Almost 2 hous to get our food, kept being told it was on its way. Spent £50 for a family lunch which I had finished mine before the rest of the order finally came out. Won't be back, no apology and quite rude🤬

So far an hour and a half wait. We could see it was busy and was told there would be "a wait" but this is something else. No real apology, just a few repetitions of "it'll be a few minutes" and a rather disconcerting request to confirm what we had ordered... If you have such a backlog of orders that your kitchen can't keep up, I recommend you cease accepting orders until you catch up.

The Cafe@ The Allendale serves really delicious hot chocolate. The coffee there is also really good. They do live music on a Friday evening where the atmosphere is fun and friendly and I can thoroughly recommend a visit.

For the price paid (£7+) you'd expect a toastie to be sizeable and made with nice bread instead of the thinnest, cheapest slices possible. The rest of the food was a similar story - disappointing for the price and low quality. It's a shame as...

We wandered in here after a long drive and it felt lovely and friendly straight away. Lovely and clean and airy and the gentleman who dealt with us was very friendly and attentive. Cracking cuppa and the toasties are wonderful. Service with a smile, great food....what more do you need? When we are back in the area next we will come here again without doubt.

Brilliant atmosphere, staff always happy, a very cheery cafe. Great river views and the food is far above anything else in Wimborne Certainly the place to be whether indoors or outdoors.

My friend and I visited on 27th Jan 2020, just after Café @ the Allendale (as they’re now calling and writing it) had re-opened, apparently under new management with a new chef.We found it very disappointing, sadly.The coffee was ok but not cheap for what I understand is a community café: £3:10p for an Americano.My guest and I placed a simple order of one soup and one tuna & cheese toastie, both with/on wholemeal or granary bread.My guest’s soup was apparently tasty but the consistency put her off. It was so thick that she, quite literally, could stand her spoon up in it and it did not move! It was like a giant dip or baby meal. So thick and filling that she could not eat the bread that accompanied it.My tuna & cheese toastie was fine but arrived on white bread and not the wholemeal/granary I had requested.It had taken so long for our order to arrive that I couldn’t face another long wait by asking to have it corrected, so I just ate it.It was served with a tiny salad garnish and some quite hard crisps. I did not find it very enjoyable as I do not like white bread.One lady serving at the counter looked just like Polly from Fawlty Towers! She seemed nice but a bit distracted. In the middle of serving me she even stopped to talk to a member of staff about something else which irritated me a bit, as service was slow enough already – and that’s before we knew how long we’d have to wait for the food to actually arrive.When I ordered a second coffee for my guest I told this lady that my toastie had arrived on the wrong bread. She apologised and said that they had a new chef and “she is just getting used to things”. She said that she would add it to her list of queries.Nonplussed!Another young girl serving looked decidedly lost most of the time and I noticed she kept touching her nose and face and was even eating a chocolate cake slice of some sort behind the counter. Not good. Admittedly, I did not see her touch any customers’ food directly so I hope that tongs, utensils or gloves are used all the time otherwise that would be very unhygienic.I felt it was very poor value for money at nearly £19 for 2 coffees, 1 bottled drink, 1 soup and a toastie.I will not be returning and I could not recommend this café to anyone I’m afraid.

Debido a encontrarse con los amigos con niños pequeños que nos encontramos aquí un par de veces ... pero era consistentemente mal. El café era pobre, desde una máquina e incluso el té sabor malo. Lo peor fue el personal antipático que te hace sentir mal para ir allí. Por suerte, ahora esto ha sido tomada por una pareja local y que ha cambiado drásticamente. Me va a revisar el Village Green por separado.

Positive first... Friendly staff and reasonably priced food. Negatives... Food quality not brilliant, seating area inside is cramped and not very clean. Ok to sit outside with a drink, but nothing more going for it.

Fuimos para el té, ya que puede llevar al perro. EE.UU. A pesar que éramos los únicos las mesas por la ventana estaban sucias y no liquidados. La ventana alféizares travieso y también estaban sucias. No saludo ya que fuimos. Café estaba bien, pero era un poco seco. Cuando salimos de la señora ni siquiera mirar de decir adiós.Era un día soleado de medio plazo un lugar encantador. Lo que debería haber sido estimulante. ¡Qué vergüenza, tanto potencial desaprovechado.

Vinimos para el desayuno hoy como habíamos visitado para bebidas y nuestro hijo disfruta jugando con los juguetes. Después de 25 minutos de espera para un sandwich de desayuno y huevos revueltos en tostada nos dijeron que no había pan integral disponibles como la cocina estaba siendo limpiado bien. Cuando mi marido tenía casi terminar su bocadillo, notó que una orilla del pan era verde con moho. Nos dieron una disculpa mutada pero no ofrece recompensa o ninguna otra explicación. No volveremos cualquier momento pronto!

What a great place to get a light lunch and a decent coffee without paying a fortune.....we'll be back!

Recientemente visité el Allendale Centro por primera vez después de años de no saber de su lugar en Wimborne y del Waterside Cafe. Me quedé muy impresionado con el tesoro escondido. teníamos dos realmente amistosos miembros de personal para atendernos y nada parecía demasiado problema. La cafetería está ubicada en una muy buena manera con una especie de borde rústico que es adecuado de la zona y el café era excelente y por sólo £2 una taza!Hay un video que muestra que parece ser que hizo por una famosa cafetera de película de vida salvaje que vive localmente y sensibilización del río fuera. Había otras dos familias con niños pequeños jugando con los juguetes y todo esto añadido a la sensación de un verdadero ambiente de la comunidad. La comida era sencilla pero de alta calidad, si quieres un menú completo diríjase hacia la ciudad, pero para el almuerzo es perfecto y la mejor relación calidad-precio que hemos encontrado.Después de leer la otra crítica sobre la chica en una camisa casi no vamos pero nos alegramos de haber hecho.

solía visitar el Waterside Cafe diariamente, hasta que fue tomada por un nuevo Comité. desde entonces, ha ido cuesta abajo. Las mesas están antihigiénicos, hay comida atrapados en las grietas de las mesas, putrefacción.Mi última visita y el último fue en el 14 th 2013 FEB. Cuando llegué, me pareció un asiento y dijo una señora hi, por el tiempo que he tenido lugar mis pertenencias en la mesa la chica tenía disapeared, yo estaba preparado a la orden mi comida pero no había personal para ser visto, esperé por 5 minutos, cuando era grosera habla la misma chica. Este miembro del personal no tenía modales que, no por favor no gracias o general presentas charlar como los demás miembros del personal. obviamente me podría decir que ella era más elevado en la cadena alimentaria con respecto a otro personal que llevaba una camisa negra y las otras chicas estaban usando/tshirts polos. Yo estaba indignado con el camino que me había hablado con que me tiene bastante y me ha quitado completamente nunca ir allí. Todo el mundo ha convertido en hacer aburrido y monótono. La comida me dieron fue lo único que se me lear en volver, la comida es fabulosa y algunas comidas son un precio razonable. No me puedo quejar del jefe o personal, a una chica. Ella no dio su nombre, así que era evidente que sabía que era problema.no me puedo quejar este maravilloso café, sus sólo ciertas personas y unas pésimas video de vida salvaje que deja un poco que desear. Volveré a the Waterside Cafe no cualquier momento pronto.siento tener que escribir una mala crítica, pero la he de voz mis opions.

Great to find a nice cafe for a drink and cake that has toys for my toddler. Not noisy either. Affordable. Decently presented.
