Great meals, more than enough to choose from. The servings were more than enough. Everything looked nice and fresh, very tasty.

We had a fantastic meal. Mixed starters, sides and mains were all so good. Not as salty as last time so glad they seem to have taken my feedback onboard. Hard to find a better indian restaurant then this around here. Thank you.

The fish menu is excellent, fresh and all food tasted superb. We had 6 different choices over the 2 visits. A big plus was also the food arrives nice and hot. There aren’t many restaurants that manage that. We will be back!

Went for lunch and found new owners - however the new owners continues the Jennies Kitchen tradition of great food with excellent service. The garden seating area continues to be a sun trap, and given the fabulous choice of cake I know this will continue to be a favorite spot to stop on any bike ride.

In need of comfort food after a long day of travelling yesterday, at 8pm the staff at the Trout could not have made us feel more welcome. Pie and chicken burger were both delicious - and no-one batted an eyelid when I asked if I could take half my burger home (which I've just reheated for lunch today!). Good food, good beer and a warm fire were all bang on. A big shout out to the young lady behind the bar who was super-professional and the singing of Christmas songs from the kitchen kept us entertained! Can't wait to go back, thank you!!

Hiya had a large cod and chips 1 tea 1 coffee plus mini cod and roe all was excellent. Staff was friendly bubbly and very helpful.i will be back.

Since the restaurant has been taken over it is much improved. The food is good and is now realistic competition takeaway option for Khushi.

Batter was burnt. Burgers were overcooked. Different drinks brought to the table than those ordered. The waitress appeared not to give a damn. The sounds from the speaker were not music, just noise. Thumping base. It was inappropriate to the average age at lunch time. Xmas parties going on so some seasonal music would have been nice. The bill was incorrect. overall a horrible experience quite unlike the our previous visit.

Pretentious place. Staff don’t listen to requests, e.g. brought drink with ice when asked for no ice, brought dessert with clotted cream when asked for pouring cream. Food at best average.

Lovely breakfast but the staff were rushed off their feet and clearly in need of more hands given the wait on food. Also items missing on the breakfast.

Had a few teething problems in our room, ie tv didn't have volume, yet was sorted straight away albeit with a smaller tv , but we managed to sort the issue so we could actually see the screen,and not use smaller tv 😁 good sized room 1 double 2 singles, but ensuite was a little too small and with nowhere for toiletries, slightly disappointed with layout no bedside table ,my biggest problem was having to smell bad drainage issues in the ensuite which started in the early hours and remained until we checked out,, if you can get a room on top floor as very bad sound proofing being woken up a few times by people above us, talking and walking about , and up and down the stairs and slamming front door which was right next to our door,the pub itself was warm and friendly if you go up to the 1st floor of the riverside they have extra tables and a pool table ,the riverside food was very good , apart from the bacon, to over cooked, also if ordering full English go early as our bacon was very hard,seemed precooked my partner couldn't eat hers,but apart from that , well worth the value we would return.
