Lovely local cafe, set in the Cotswolds countryside. Also a great view of the alpaca field! We had a ploughman’s and it was lovely and homemade!

This is a lovely friendly cafe tucked away in the Cotswold water park. It was sunny so we sat out in the garden which is very pretty. Service was really good and very quick. Cater well for gluten free and food is good and not over priced. Definitely is a great place to meet friends and have a relaxed lunch.

Well appointed cafe, with small but thoughtful menu. Not too busy inside when we arrived but the car park was full where people had parked badly so we had to park on the road. Food was good but simple, and a very good cup of tea.

This has been a regular spot for us over the years and we have always had a great meal in a nice relaxed atmosphere. It is now under new management and the ethos of this has continued, Food is really nice and hot when it comes to the table, staff are friendly and in the summer there is a lovely garden area to enjoy your coffee/lunch. It is getting even more popular with us having to squeeze the car in the car park the last two visits so the new team are doing it right! Booking is a good idea! Looking forward to my curry soon! Well done to all

We found this cafe online while on our weekend away and walked all the way there for Friday lunch for it to be closed?! It was advertised as open and the note on the front door simply said ‘Sorry Closed’ with no dates or information as to why or how long… We would not advise wasting time walking/ visiting here - in case they just decide to randomly close again. Waste of time! :(

Lovely setting but I agree with the last review - the staff particularly a red haired woman with a foreign accent who was very rude and abrupt - we just wanted to leave - what an awful experience - we overheard other people were complaining about her manner

This seemed a lovely find, it's close to many lakes and in a beautiful setting. The gardens are lovely, the tables were nicely spread out. The staff were friendly on arrival and the cakes looked good. Unfortunately, it went down hill from there. Staff were slow to serve, forgot about us. The service was adequate. The food was nice, but overpriced for what it was. My meal was missing a couple of key elements. They said they'd run out. When I gave them feedback it was poorly handled. A thank you but no gesture of good will or discount off meal which was not complete. I left feeling angry not wanting to have a confrontation with the staff. On that basis, I would not recommend and would not go back.

Unfortunately, from arriving not a great experience there was nowhere to park in the car park so had to wait for somebody to leave . Whilst waiting I saw a large Rat run in front of the building. Somewhat off putting.. We came pacifically to see the Alpaca’s which where in a further field so could hardly see them. We only had Coffees so I am unable to review the food however all looked good. Quite shabby chic interior , and outside seating area this look may not appeal to all diners. Would return if we were guaranteed to be closer to the Alpaca’s. The Rat was a bit of a turn off though.

Great find. Tucked away near Cotswold Water Park this lovely cafe is a special place. We had breakfast today and were greeted warmly. In fact all the staff were super friendly. The breakfasts were very tasty, we had the Saxon. Gluten free options are readily available including a great range of cakes. We hope we will find time during our stay in the area to pop in again to have cake in the very pretty garden.

We visited Jennie’s Kitchen and thought it was absolutely beautiful. They were so friendly and welcoming when my husband and I arrived with our dog. When we went inside, they offered us any table inside and gave our dog treats. They did not rush us to order, in fact, as it was sunny and we saw their garden, we asked if we could sit outside. Oh my goodness, the garden was gorgeous; full of beautiful colourful flowers, sculptures and plants. There was a a lovely vibe inside the Restaurant, as well as outside, customers were friendly and everyone was enjoying the lovely setting. There were bowls of fresh water for dogs dotted about the garden too, it was immaculately clean and reminded us of The Green Tea Rooms/Restaurant & Bakery in Parga, Greece. The plantation and layout of the large garden was perfect and with lots of character. The Waitress who served us was lovely and friendly. All the staff were lovely and busy serving other customers. We had the best fresh coffees, served in large tall mugs and we ordered Jacket Potatoes with Chilli, which were delicious. They were huge Jackets, perfectly baked, served with homemade coleslaw and a fresh salad, with a very delicious dressing. The chilli was tasty too. We saw a group of people have Apple Pie and Ice cream and there were raving about it. I went inside to order some Apple Pie for us, but the waitress politely said there would be a 30 minutes wait for the Apple Pie to bake ; the Apple Pie was obviously very popular. It was no problem though as we’ll try it on our next visit. Another member of staff popped into the garden as she was tending to some of the beautiful plants. She was so friendly and lovely. Our dog barked at her at first, I think our dog was a bit dubious of the ladies’ gardening gloves initially. The lady was so polite and asked if she could say hello to our dog, she removed her gardening gloves and gave our dog some fuss. The lady was telling us about the plants and she was telling us about the Clementine, the donkey on the farm and also about the Alpacas. After earning our lunch we went out to meet Clementine and the Alpacas, Clementine was beautiful and friendly. She loved our dog. In fact, all the animals were lovely and all looked so well and happy. We enjoyed our visit to Jennie’s Kitchen. It happened to be my husband’s birthday when we visited, we decided to drive out to Jennie’s, after a long morning walk in Shrivenham; so glad we did, we had a lovely day. Still impressed how lovely their garden looked in the October sunshine and it was a lovely atmosphere. I will be returning with friends and family for sure; hopefully I can try the Apple Pie and Ice cream too. Regarding some of the reviews which say the food is overpriced, I disagree, I feel the quality and portion amounts here are excellent. It’s good, hearty, homemade food. I’d rather pay the same price here, rather than elsewhere, supporting this beautiful little gem and supporting a superb local business. Thank You to the lovely staff here, you made us feel most welcome. 5*

Coffee was good, tart was tasty, but @ £4.50/slice, and a tiny slice at that, the tart was way over priced. It's a shame as we are local and cycle the area a lot. Against my better judgement we returned there today only for cake ( in my case cream tea) for the third time in a month after we were warned of very slow service. The quality of surroundings and overall ambience is excellent and to be fair there is a note saying freshly cooked food so don't expect fast food. Our first two visits were OK, the second, the cake came 10/15 minutes after the tea. Today was simply a disaster arriving just after 11am well before lunchtime. The place was quite full inside and 3 couples were already upset at the long wait for food. We ordered tea for both, my wife a portion of an already made cake and myself a scone. We first got the tea ( waitress went back with my cup) and my wife a piece of very nice cake within 20 minutes. After 3 reminders my scone/cream arrived ( all the tea finished) within 40 minutes and when spreading it, simply crumbled and so soggy. I must say we will NOT return here and neither will at least 2 bike riding clubs from Swindon I would guess. To have service like this and having to constantly apologise and/or let some customers not pay for bits and pieces, is a medium to long term recipe for disaster.Lovely looking place and surroundings but extremely poor service. My overall rating of average is "generous"!
