We only had dinner along with drinks, fish and chips and the pie. The crust for the pie was really quite tough but I have to say the meat and everything else inside was gorgeous. We had such lovely and welcoming service from everyone, we hope to come again to stay. Really beautiful vibe in this place, nice and friendly.

I enjoyed my stay at this establishment. The rooms are basic which is outweighed by it's location and staff's friendliness. I had breakfast the next morning and was delighted to see the variety on offer. The food itself was excellent and the service above expectations. I would recommend and maybe returning myself.

Weekend away with friends. Very old coaching inn building with steep stairs and uneven floors so staying in the main part of the building is not for the immobile but they have a selection of rooms in what was probably the stables. Service is great, food is good, parking is plentiful with a big lawned area that runs down to tables by the Thames. We were on the top floor and the hot water disappeared at peak shower time before breakfast so beware! Other than that minor issue very happy with our stay.

Sunday Roast only The New Inn pub/restaurant is a charming place full of history with a cozy twist. An arrangement of seating areas and styles adds to its ambience. The Sunday roast is a very popular tradition for the area and oh boy do they do it well! I had the Sunday roast chicken and the presentation was superb with the chicken sliced evenly with an assortment of vegetables and a Yorkshire pudding. The gravy was simply delicious, rich but not over powering. Staff were great and friendly. Recommendation Fully recommended for the Sunday roast. Sirloin of beef 24 Lamb 24 Chicken 18 Free WiFi 2 hour parking outside Free parking inside, drive through the building

Great hotel very friendly staff had a great stay here. Food was very good and at a reasonable price would highly recommend staying here. The beer garden next to the Thames is great for a sunny day

We used the New Inn Hotel for a motorcycle trip to the cotswolds. This was ideal for our group of 7 as we had off road parking at the rear of the hotel that was gated so more secure overnight. The rooms were basic but functional and the decor was dated but that wasn't an issue for our group. We enjoyed the pub service, food and drinks. We were B&B and the breakfast was very good with unlimited drinks. There was a selection of cereals. We all had full English breakfast with plenty of servings of toast. This was a great stop over for our weekend motorcycle trip so would recommend for our needs.

Saturday evening dinner for 7, one of the best restaurant steaks ever eaten. The feather of beef was fall apart soft and the dauphinoise potatoes soft, succulent, buttery and crispy. All very good, with great service. We will be back

Visited for pre- arranged lunch with a large group. Hotel has ample parking and backs onto the river Thames in this picturesque market town. A superb location, especially in the summer months. Service was welcoming and efficient, our food superb.

We stayed here recently and were in one of the small rooms external to the main building. The room itself was awful - even with just a standard double bed, it was so small only 1 of us could walk around the room at once. The bathroom was also tiny (only big enough for 1 person), the door didn't close and the shower went hot and cold. All throughout the night we heard pipes gurgling. We did also hear the church bells toll every hour through the night although I'm aware this is not something the hotel are in charge of! We didn't have breakfast included so added it on separately. I'd always expect this to be slightly more expensive than having it included but didn't expect to be paying £7.50 for a bacon sandwich! There was a breakfast bar with a filter coffee machine (although the coffee was terrible) and half-sized glasses of juice. When we went to pay, we were charged for the coffee and the juice (£2.50 each for probably a 250ml glass), neither of which we were aware of as there was nothing to indicate they were to be paid for. It's not a significant amount of money but was yet another thing which contributed to a bad experience overall. The staff were also grumpy, bordering on rude. I would definitely not recommend staying here, especially for the price!

A little gem! The staff are super friendly, kind and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is amazing and excellent value for money! The rooms are clean, comfortable and everything you need. They are not luxurious but at their price point, they are perfect. A great nights sleep, a hot powerful shower and just what you need after a long days walk.

I chose the homemade burger which was so tasty and chips super crispy and hot. If your in the area give this place a try I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Staff very friendly too and lovely log fire kept us warm on cold day too. 10/10
