Best fish and chips I ever tasted

Peas were rather cold, fish was lovely

Popped in on the off-chance they where open late on a Monday with an open mind as have had some bad fish in other restaurants.. We where greeted and served buy james who we could only describe as eye candy... When the food came out promptly may we add it was a feast for the eyes and short of putting flippers on and heading out to sea I doubt you'll find better fresher fish. Who ever is behind the kitchen at a guess could only be a magician of the dark culinary arts. If you leave a bad review you clearly must be drunk or have no taste in the finer things in life. Well done guys.

Booked the karaoke room and it was brilliant. Would highly recommend and there’s great drinks too!

Every Thursday they do karaoke and normally have to wait 30-45 minutes to have your song played then you won’t get the microphone cause someone won’t give it up has happened every time I go (3 times) pretty disappointed after waiting almost an hour then staff won’t do anything won’t be going again

I was served by the wonderful Vicky! She had good knowledge of the menu, recommended the ham hawk mushy peas and they were amazing! She was attentive and friendly. Had a few beers to wash down the cod bites and peas, pint where fresh and delicious. Will be back!

Very demeaning manager. Do not have security until 11 on a Friday. Very irresponsible place.

A very nice place. They have the best fish and chips and very nice cocktails as well. This is going to be one of my favorite places to go in Cirencester.

Don’t do the bottomless lunch! Food delicious but the bottomless part is far from bottomless. Waited 25 mins for our first drink of Prosecco then only had two refills in an hour and a half. Waited over 20 mins with empty glasses on the table every time. Huge disappointment. Understaffed and badly run. Don’t waste your money

Helpful staff, nice venue just wish it had a lift when setting up decor

Nice food and drinks, good service and the food came quick although we were the only ones bar one other couple in there on a Wednesday evening 7pm. Sausage and mash was a very large portion, gravy was very thick but had good flavour, mash potato seemed to be microwaved and onion rings were very large but nice with a bit of spice in them

I was expecting excellence but was disappointed because the fish was greasy and, imho, undercooked. Furthermore, the peas were tepid.

Better than The Rock. £6 to get in, £5 for a gin! The rock can suck my One criticism is that there is no room to swing a cat.

Really lovely place great food and atmosphere. Staff are really friendly and happy to have a chat . They even have a cigarette dispenser.

Alright night out. Feels like it's trying to be a night club and cocktail bar in one which to me clashes slightly.

Small but well laid out. One of the few places open late in Cirencester.

Expensive drinks but all round a good night. DJ played dnb i was happy :-)

Not a bad night sport at all, when we visited they had a DJ on all night.

Ever since 17 Black started, it's definitely the best place to be and keeps Cirencester on the map (a long with REVA Night Club of course). You can always have fun, dance, and be with your friends, work colleagues, and family. You couldn't get the nicest, brilliance, dedicated and experienced staff and always friendly. I have rated this all 5 stars - so why not come and see for yourselves. It's certainly got a lot of welcome ambiance.

Incredible meal, friendly waitress and excellent value!

If I could give 17 black, its staff and the atmosphere it attempts to create any fewer than one stars, I would....this place is a dismal dive at best, with aggressive, small town syndrome bouncers kicking out friendly guests for having a bit of fun......not somewhere you would go and relax with friends, not somewhere to go on a first date, seriously this whole charade of an establishment scores as one of the lowest I have ever been and I have travelled the world.
