Good choice of drinks, excellent pizza!

Sophisticated restaurant and bar with amazing panoramic views across the beach. We sat by the huge windows in the bar area and had their home-made ice cream, but the staff were as attentive as if we were having a high-value meal in the dining room. The standards here are exceptional, as seen in details such as the impressive bespoke-designed cutlery and crockery.

This was the most tasty and delicious vegetarian food I’ve ever eaten! Being a vegetarian, I’ve eaten in a lot of good vegetarian restaurants. But this food was so delightful. You can tell a lot of care and expertise has gone into the food recipes and presentation. Well done! Run by too very lovely ladies who are very attentive hosts. Such a shame I’m only visiting St Ives as I would be a frequent customer. I’d suggest choose something you wouldn’t normally eat as you’re likely to be in for a lovely surprise. If meat eaters wish to try a very flavoursome alternative, that’s not only tasty but extremely good for you as well. The deserts were wonderful- my chocolate and orange mud pie with orange and ginger sauce and a choice of ice cream or clotted cream (naughty) - whilst chatting to my host was a great way to end my evening. . Gave this place a second visit after a disappointing first and it was even worse. At least half a dozen people working and know one actually taking care to ensure a good product. Chip shops that can’t put out good chips should be boycotted. Have some pride. Do it properly. Nobody enjoys pale stuck together undercooked chips !

Beautifully decorated & wonderfully helpful staff! The Gannet is part of the Carbis Bay Estate, so you have the benefit of using the spa facilities which are outstanding. Exceptional ingredients used for scrumptious hearty meals. Will be returning

Decided to visit on a cold January evening for a drink. Lovely welcome from staff, bar area has tables or bar stools and be a tremendous cocktail menu !! You can order off the menu u a small plate or starter if you want a light snack, chicken satay was delicious. No pressure to eat at all. Great service attentive but not intrusive. Prices are quite expensive.

We have been coming to Carbis Bay for the last few years and staying in the apartments by the beach. We can't fault the service by Maxine who has been very welcoming and helpful over the last couple of years. Her service in the Deli and Beach Restaurant has been fabulous. Her tentative and caring approach to my pregnant wife (at the time) will always stay with us. We returned with our baby boy the year after and Maxine went above and beyond to tend to his needs aswell as our own. We can't wait to see you in June 2025! Jack & Jayne

Absolutely delicious food, terrible customer service. Found plastic in a sandwich on one occasion, multiple egg shells in a breakfast sandwich on another occasion. Then on another business lunch a colleague had a tomato and basil sandwich that turned out to be tomato and mint. Was told to “come back on Saturday for replacement” when the cafe closed for the forseeable future that very saturday. Plastic and eggshells in sandwich never addressed in comminication. Such a shame the service standards were so poor. One lady was absolutely brilliant and was let down by the other staff members. Either way would love to see the Cafe open for food soon. Not least for a replacement sandwich for my colleague!

We held our wedding reception here on Tuesday 25th June. We were a small Wedding party of 14 people and I am pleased to say that the food was of excellent quality. Quantities were also substantial - steaks, fish, vegetables, dessert... and accompanying sauces were delicious. I am a Coeliac and they were able to accommodate me and provide me with plenty of choice. I cannot recommend this restaurant any more than by saying it offers as good a dining experience as you will find in the St Ives, Carbis Bay, Penzance area. To be rated number 3 in Lelant is ridiculous. I would put it at number 1 in the whole area. You can check some of my other reviews in this area for good comparison.

First night of holiday we decided on Becks for takeaway fish and chips. We made a good choice. Haddock and cod were wonderful. Not greasy, perfect amount of batter and cooked to order. Chips were also very nice. Great service by friendly people too. Highly recommend.

Provided a sizeable deposit to them in August to secure Christmas Day lunch for family. Found out by chance in Oct they had gone into administration. They ignored all phone calls and emails to try and establish what was going on. Told they won’t be offered a service, not would they refund and told me to contact administrators who have advised that I am an unsecured creditor and are unlikely to get money back. Feel robbed as one would do. Shame on you Una Kitchen. If you had of said we could have a voucher to the value I paid to use against something else that would be different. It’s no way to run a business or retain customers.

Usually stay in the Gannet Inn, sea view upgrade for the Gannet House became available - so glad we took it. The room, views, and service were all outstanding.
