Great find, nice atmosphere and food was excellent.

Lovely restaurant. The paella there is very good, I would recommend you to try all of the paellas. However, as a starter, I wouldn't recommend the spinach croquetas as they just tasted like flour.

Food was really good and authentic. Monday evening atmosphere ok. Service ok but not happy if you move from your allocated table.

It was a fun Saturday night in this buzzy restaurant. The staff were very busy but the food was very enjoyable. We all enjoyed the tasty tapas.

We went here for an anniversary meal. Booked online which was really easy to do. We had a call on the day advising that they could squeeze us in earlier which was a lovely thing as it meant we ordered ahead of a big birthday party. The waitress made some good recommendations and the food was lovely. I didn't remember to take a photo before we put food on our plate as it looked far too good!

Lovely find just opposite our B&B, first dinner was paella & pizza, 2nd night we opted for the traditional tapas. All very tasty 😋 great house white wine too

It was good, but a bit on the expensive for what it was. But I guess that's standard for the location.

Can't say enough great things about this place!!! Terrific, authentic food and wonderful staff. We are looking forward to another great evening at La Casita!!!

We were a last minute booking on a Sunday evening and the staff were so kind to fit us in and with our 3 children. The food is just like the tapas I have eaten in Seville. The quality and the taste was absolutely brilliant. When I come to visit St Ives again I cannot wait to come to this restaurant again. The kids were also very happy with their pizzas.

Such a nice restaurant. The food was delicious and I really enjoyed it, the outdoor terrace was also very nice, I recommend the paella, omelette and spanish-style pizza. The churros were also perfect. The service was also excellent and very helpful. Overall a 5 starm

My partner and I both visited with our baby. On arrival we were greeted but unfortunately the service didn't come with a smile the whole evening. The starters were really enjoyable. We had meatballs, mussels and prawn pancakes. All were lovely and we couldn't wait for mains. My partner ordered a pizza and I ordered a seafood paella. The paella was way too salty and the pizza was not good at all... All you could taste was the cheese and my partner loves cheese but it was too much. We would visit again but just have tapas....

What a gem of a restaurant, amazing service and food was incredible, paella was the absolute highlight, server was great and even was I asked for a starter of calamari for my pudding it was no trouble, after driving for 6 hours for a holiday this was exactly what we needed, definitely be back during this holiday

Nice place with a Spanish setting, very efficient and friendly service, smiling staff. Very good food, we had an appetizer with roasted octopus and then paella. All dishes of excellent quality. Fair price. We were very satisfied

This is a great place, we come every year when on holiday, food is great, tapas this year was brilliant, and mussels were amazing. The only thing that I'd wished they would bring back is the parilla with choice of steaks, this hasn't appeared since Covid and the only offering for steak now is a special and really expensive. Can be an expensive night out with drinks but worth it for at least one night

Dined last night as a family of 4 Food amazing, recommend meatballs, prawns and ribs. We all left with very full bellies! Staff all seemed pleasant and the atmosphere was pretty good. We would visit again. It was nice to get out the hustle and bustle of St Ives for the evening.

The food was delicious, the service was quick and polite. I will definitely come back here again once in the area.

The Spanish cuisine served at this restaurant was fresh and delicious, even better than what I've had in Spain. It was only a 6-minute walk from the B&B where I was staying. I'll certainly be back the next time I'm in the area. Just be aware that this is a popular, busy restaurant, so I'd recommend making a reservation before you go to ensure you get a table.

I had a booking for six and a dog. They rang a couple of hours before to say there was no room on the terrace. I had put a note on my booking to say I had a dog with me, their response was you didn’t make the booking correctly. We left our dog at home in the end. We were seated in a hot corner of the restaurant. Food and service was good. This was my fourth visit to the restaurant.

Great atmosphere, great staff, great food!

We had a fantastic meal for 4. The food is superb and the staff lovely. We had paella (which was amazing.. huge langoustines, loads of fish and chorizo). This was our third visit over 10 years - every St Ives holiday and it never disappoints.

I want to leave a good review because I think the food tasted good. But my partner had severe food poisoning after having their seafood paella. We ate the paella around 8 pm and she started feeling unease in stomach around 10pm, and had a hard time going to sleep that night. The next morning, she started vomiting, followed by severe diarrhea for the next two days. I really have no other explanation besides that the food we were served contained spoiled ingredients, very disappointing.

Food was nice but very expensive and the platters aren’t worth the value of how much they are at all. So much meat that looked and tasted like it was from a supermarket packet and not enough of other things to balance it out. On the seafood platter there was meant to be muscles but nothing that resembled them came out, and there was more whitebait than anything else. Skewers and pizza were nice though.

Been here many times and will keep coming back. This time we sat outside for dinner, having between the four of us various chicken dishes and pizzas. I had the Americano pizza which was excellent (again). Looking forward to eating there again soon.

Really nice staff and food, we enjoyed our dinner there tucked away in the corner so the kids could relax after a tiring day! Tapas and main meal options so a good range of food, all tasty and good size portions. Finished off with Churros and chocolate sauce which we devoured in seconds despite being full after the mains …!

Manager was not welcoming at all at entry, could not have a cup of tea or coffee although the tables were empty. I will avoid this place due to lack of hospitality and clearly driven by just a food business not a customer experience.

The food is tasty and staff lovely, however, the portions are tiny for the price and I also found a hair in my meal. Whilst this dish was refunded, no offer of a new meal was provided which was very disappointing in how it was dealt with (especially when the restaurant has a 5 star hygiene rating!). Also a ‘discretionary’ 12.5% service change is included in the price of the food and is non-negotiable. Disappointing overall.

This great restaurant has everything - great service, friendly and helpful and excellent quality food. We shared the seafood paella with a couple of tapas dishes which was ample for us. The paella was superb and the patron peppered delicious. The menu was varied but not too big and overwhelming. A good mixture of ages . Reasonable prices for the quality of the food too. Highly recommended. Booking recommended as it is very popular. We noticed they did take away too which is great too.

Fabulous evening at La Casita. We received a very warm welcome from the lovely staff which is always a good start. A very busy restaurant but great service. Delicious food and brilliant cocktails together with a delightful Spanish ambiance. This place is buzzing and an absolute must if you are staying in St.Ives.

The restaurant is pleasantly decorated and is a little different to other restaurants in the area as it specialises in Spanish tapas rather than local Cornish dishes. Our waitress recommended that we order 3 small plates per person. The plates were extremely small and this turned out to be not enough food to be considered a dinner. We ordered 1 more small plates person but had to wait about half an hour before these plates arrived. This also meant that the average price per person was very expensive, in fact the cost would have been sufficient for a lobster dinner at other local restaurants. There is no view from the restaurant so it isn't the view that customers are paying for. The food is fine but not amazing, so on balance we found this restaurant to be poor value for money.

Excellent restaurant with a great atmosphere that serves authentic Spanish food! The staff are expectantly helpful and service was lovely, fitting in with the whole buzzing atmosphere. It’s seemingly traditional, with tiled floors, music load enough to make you want to get up and dance but quiet enough to enjoy romantic conversation. It’s really great! The food itself is mostly tapas style, with a few larger plates too, everything being very tasty (if a little small for the price but that’s tapas eh!). The paella was the star of the show, really well cooked with such high quality rice, plump and flavourful, seafood and meats all delicious and a caramelised bottom, beautiful! We will probably be back at some point for the paella, probably take-out before anything else, as it really was delightful!

Main issue here is value for money. Food was tasty and atmosphere/setting was nice. Portions are small and expensive. Nearly £5 for a side of green beans and £20 for a small paella with a minimal amount of seafood. Service charge was also included as standard, like you don't get a choice any more! We did question the service charge and were offered for it to be refunded in a not so polite manner, which was embarrassing. Also gave feedback on value for money which was then bounced around the far too many members of staff chatting and hovering around the bar. Overall, spent over £70 for 2 mains, a side and 2 drinks.

We were excited on seeing the menu as it is lovely but it's way overpriced for what it is. The portions are tiny £20 for a 1cm deep 10cm skillet of paella with very little seafood. Side dishes extremely small. Sangria did not have lashings of fruit and their were way too many staff for small restaurant. Service charge already on bill at 10% when staff already get a wage. Carers do not get service charge paid to them doesn't make sense we shouldn't have to pay it. Shame because we won't go back or recommend it.

Our first visit to La Casita and we were very impressed. The food was all very well prepared and presented. Very good portion sizes and there was very good value for money. We will definitely be returning and tring some different items off the menu.

Absolutely stunning. Best meal out for some time. Chefs know what they're doing, great quality ingredients cooked perfectly with great hosts and service.

Hubby and I had such a lovely evening out. The service is great, the food is fantastic and the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. And if you get Robberta or her daughter serving you, you've hit the jackpot. Xx

Outstanding food and presentation. A shame about the presumptuous 12.5% 'discretionary' service charge that automatically appears on your bill without any warning or explanation!

Eaten here several times previous. Food as usual excellent. I use it as a bit of a treat on my visits to the area. Certainly not the cheapest but if you want cheap go to the chip shop. Atmosphere and background music also help make for relaxing comfortable evening. I think last night was maybe busier than they expected being a Monday but the popularity is a result of their excellent food. The location is a big help being outside of the St Ives busy tourist centre. Also right next to the bus stop for those who dont mind planning and also Taxis know the venue well. Value for money? Yes, if you want a special evening.

Food was OK but very expensive for the tapas. The portions were very small for the price you pay. Basically over £8 per tiny tapas. I've been to tapas places in Central London that are far better for half the price. Due to limitations in Carbis bay, would imagine the tourists keep them going. Staff were all lovely and service was good.

Little gem of spanish food 🥘 in Cornwall. Decent size portion of paella and other spanish dishes, delicious and tasty. The two hours slot is not European way of enjoying dinner with friends , however it is British way to dinner, with a swift enjoyment. Never understand the whole purpose of this two hours slot after Covid is the only thing that left reminding of the curfew system… only in Britain.. Otherwise, definitely recommended. Staff is nice and polite .

My last visit 2 weeks ago was disappointing. They've increased the prices and decreased the quality and the amounts. I truly believe is was my last visit.

I wish I could give you guys 10 stars. Your food reminds me of where I spent many years. We found you quite by accident while on holiday. Then ended up cancelling dinner plans for the rest of the week to come back again. We've planned another holiday within easy reach of Carbis Bay, specifically La Casita.

Absolutely incredible evening spent there with amazing staff and atmosphere. La Casita helped me transform a dinner in a celebration birthday for my wife. Absolutely recomand for all those who love Spanish food and would like to find a piece of Spain here in St Ives

Entrance and exterior felt authentically Spanish. Music and interior was also very Spanish which was good. Quick service and bustling atmosphere as restaurant was quite full. Friendly waitresses and bar staff. Food was exceptional - best authentic Spanish food I’ve had in England. I had the amazing and hot Pollo Fueda - large portion and delicious although I hated the aioli (revolting)! Dad’s Serrana Paella was amazing - best pork and meat in a paella he’d had! Sauce was delicious and size was great! Mum’s pizza was good but a tad small. Chocolate brownie was top class - defo recommend!! Although we had to wait for the paella dishes, this is acceptable since it was freshly prepared and piping hot. Alcohol was expensive but tasted fine - no.4 of red wine. Service charge was v.big but it is optional so not a problem (waitress however pulled a face when we didn’t want to pay the full service charge). Maybe they could reduce that veggie stuff and add more meat options?? Restaurant was hot but sorted after windows were opened. Lovely atmosphere so all round a great evening! Defo be returning as it’s so convenient if you’re in Carbis Bay or even Lelant I suppose.

First time here and not the last. Excellent food and super staff. Made my Birthday a night to remember and will definitely be telling friends in the area.

Previous family holidays to Carbis Bay we have used La Casita for takeaways which was always good. This year we dined in with our 2 young children. Kids went for pizzas which were brought out quickly for them. My wife and I opted for a selection of tapas along paella. All amazingly tasty. To drink we chose cocktails to start which had real punch to them (no half measures!) followed with a bottle of house white.

As a family of four we visited La Casita as it offers a range of dishes to appeal to the whole family. The restaurant was busy with a buzzing atmosphere. Staff were busy and efficient with good service. The family universally acclaimed the food which included Moroccan Chicken skewers, pizzas and Steak. Everything was cooked to perfection with generous portions. As frequent visitors to the area we had not visited for a long time and now can’t understand why. Definitely a regular haunt going forwards.

There’s real character about this restaurant. The decor and colours really stand out. We ordered the 4 cheese pizza and the paella with chorizo, chicken and peppers. The 4 cheese was a 3 because my other half doesn’t like blue cheese but they were more than happy to alter. They added more cheese to compensate and it looked very cheesy! The paella was amazing. I haven’t had one for months and I could have had another full plate of it! Given they had a big table of people to juggle orders with, the service was still high. Will go back again.

Loved the food and atmosphere here. The paella we had was so lovely, flavourful, and really filling. The staff members were super nice and helpful. They were really accommodating even though we turned up early. Definitely a must try.

Food was really nice! But waitress service was horrible. In the end I was presented with the bill with the service charge already included, like you don't have a choice...

We’ve literally been back 15 minutes and I had to write a review. We lived in spain for 12 years and can honestly say this restaurant is so authentic. A very good mixed paella…ok to the British taste with chicken instead of rabbit but the quality Cornish seafood made all the difference. A couple of lovely tapa dishes as starters started the meal off perfectly. Albondigas, Gambas al ajillo and calamaris we perfectly cooked. Muy bien! Hasta pronto!

It was a busy Friday night at this restaurant but service was excellent. Food was absolutely delicious- I had the fish stew which was full of lovely fresh fish and my husband had one of their Paellas which he says was delicious. We had sangria and a bottle of red to drink - both were really good. Staff were really friendly. Would definitely recommend a visit and would definitely return.

Friendly service and tasty food. Able to book online. A gem worth the taxi ride outside of central St Ives. Wide range of tapas dishes as well as starters/mains available. Everything was well cooked and tasted authentic (signs of prepared and cooked by Spanish chefs as notice indicated)

La Casita has great food and a good atmosphere. We ordered 3 tapas (special offer) 3 for £18. Portions were huge. Then 2 paellas for £35. Paella was one of the best i've ever had. Excellent evening. Highly recommended.

Lovely food, friendly staff. Service very good, but not intrusive. They also very kindly allowed me to sit inside with my dog, at the table tucked away by the door. (It was a quiet evening, and fairly early, so not sure if this would always be the case)

Had a very good meal with good service, wine was a bit expensive, service friendly and good. When I got home noticed 12.5% service charge this ruined my night. When restaurants are closing by the dozen you are going make it harder for people to eat out your prices are steep enough as it is . I feel all added service charges are wrong as people should choose what tip if any the give but 12.5% is unacceptable.we recently moved to the area and thought we were on a winner but we will not return.

Some of the best food we have ever had. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and family friendly. We visited twice in the same week and both times were excellent.

We have used this restaurant when visiting this area. It has always been very good we love the tapas choice. We chose to eat here on Christmas Eve. The only downside was our table wasn’t decorated for the occasion. Also being in the corner we couldn’t hear the music. Apart from this it wouldn’t stop us returning.

I absolutely loved this restaurant, The food was amazing and we ended up going twice while on holiday just because there was so much on the menu that we wanted to try . The ladies serving us on both nights were really friendly and wow they worked hard .

Incredible value for the Tapas we had. 3 for £18, the bowl of moussels was like a complete meal in itself. Ribs fell off the bone, Chorizo had a beautiful smokey flavour to them, panko chicken was amazing, Prawn tortillas again amazing and mushrooms my dad loved. Definitely going here again when back down to Cornwall.

An extensive menu using fresh ingredients and served with a smile. Parking is tricky as it’s a busy place. Great place for friends and family as there is a good atmosphere there. Enjoy

We booked about an hour prior to our visit with ease through the online system, My Moroccan spiced chicken skewer with sliced potatoes in a sauce (can’t remember the name) was absolutely superb (highly recommend), the misses had a pizza that was nice but was a little disappointed as it lacked in the tomato sauce on it. The place itself was awesome, it really felt like I was abroad and the staff were great. I would 100% visit again if I’m ever in that area again
