La Casita in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Absolutely incredible evening spent there with amazing staff and atmosphere. La Casita helped me transform a dinner in a celebration birthday for my wife. Absolutely recomand for all those who love Spanish food and would like to find a piece of Spain here in St Ives

Entrance and exterior felt authentically Spanish. Music and interior was also very Spanish which was good. Quick service and bustling atmosphere as restaurant was quite full. Friendly waitresses and bar staff. Food was exceptional - best authentic Spanish food I’ve had in England. I had the amazing and hot Pollo Fueda - large portion and delicious although I hated the aioli (revolting)! Dad’s Serrana Paella was amazing - best pork and meat in a paella he’d had! Sauce was delicious and size was great! Mum’s pizza was good but a tad small. Chocolate brownie was top class - defo recommend!! Although we had to wait for the paella dishes, this is acceptable since it was freshly prepared and piping hot. Alcohol was expensive but tasted fine - no.4 of red wine. Service charge was v.big but it is optional so not a problem (waitress however pulled a face when we didn’t want to pay the full service charge). Maybe they could reduce that veggie stuff and add more meat options?? Restaurant was hot but sorted after windows were opened. Lovely atmosphere so all round a great evening! Defo be returning as it’s so convenient if you’re in Carbis Bay or even Lelant I suppose.

Previous family holidays to Carbis Bay we have used La Casita for takeaways which was always good. This year we dined in with our 2 young children. Kids went for pizzas which were brought out quickly for them. My wife and I opted for a selection of tapas along paella. All amazingly tasty. To drink we chose cocktails to start which had real punch to them (no half measures!) followed with a bottle of house white.

First time here and not the last. Excellent food and super staff. Made my Birthday a night to remember and will definitely be telling friends in the area.

As a family of four we visited La Casita as it offers a range of dishes to appeal to the whole family. The restaurant was busy with a buzzing atmosphere. Staff were busy and efficient with good service. The family universally acclaimed the food which included Moroccan Chicken skewers, pizzas and Steak. Everything was cooked to perfection with generous portions. As frequent visitors to the area we had not visited for a long time and now can’t understand why. Definitely a regular haunt going forwards.

There’s real character about this restaurant. The decor and colours really stand out. We ordered the 4 cheese pizza and the paella with chorizo, chicken and peppers. The 4 cheese was a 3 because my other half doesn’t like blue cheese but they were more than happy to alter. They added more cheese to compensate and it looked very cheesy! The paella was amazing. I haven’t had one for months and I could have had another full plate of it! Given they had a big table of people to juggle orders with, the service was still high. Will go back again.

Staff are rude and unhelpful Female staff member tutted when we asked for something Wouldn’t return when you have much better restaurants a stone throw away

We visited for our nieces 7th birthday and La Casita added all those special touches to make it a memorable experience. Thank you. As always the food was great and the spicy margarita 🍸 was very good. Thanks all at La Casita.

Loved the food and atmosphere here. The paella we had was so lovely, flavourful, and really filling. The staff members were super nice and helpful. They were really accommodating even though we turned up early. Definitely a must try.

We’ve literally been back 15 minutes and I had to write a review. We lived in spain for 12 years and can honestly say this restaurant is so authentic. A very good mixed paella…ok to the British taste with chicken instead of rabbit but the quality Cornish seafood made all the difference. A couple of lovely tapa dishes as starters started the meal off perfectly. Albondigas, Gambas al ajillo and calamaris we perfectly cooked. Muy bien! Hasta pronto!

It was a busy Friday night at this restaurant but service was excellent. Food was absolutely delicious- I had the fish stew which was full of lovely fresh fish and my husband had one of their Paellas which he says was delicious. We had sangria and a bottle of red to drink - both were really good. Staff were really friendly. Would definitely recommend a visit and would definitely return.

Friendly service and tasty food. Able to book online. A gem worth the taxi ride outside of central St Ives. Wide range of tapas dishes as well as starters/mains available. Everything was well cooked and tasted authentic (signs of prepared and cooked by Spanish chefs as notice indicated)

La Casita has great food and a good atmosphere. We ordered 3 tapas (special offer) 3 for £18. Portions were huge. Then 2 paellas for £35. Paella was one of the best i've ever had. Excellent evening. Highly recommended.

Lovely food, friendly staff. Service very good, but not intrusive. They also very kindly allowed me to sit inside with my dog, at the table tucked away by the door. (It was a quiet evening, and fairly early, so not sure if this would always be the case)

Had a very good meal with good service, wine was a bit expensive, service friendly and good. When I got home noticed 12.5% service charge this ruined my night. When restaurants are closing by the dozen you are going make it harder for people to eat out your prices are steep enough as it is . I feel all added service charges are wrong as people should choose what tip if any the give but 12.5% is unacceptable.we recently moved to the area and thought we were on a winner but we will not return.

Some of the best food we have ever had. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and family friendly. We visited twice in the same week and both times were excellent.

We have used this restaurant when visiting this area. It has always been very good we love the tapas choice. We chose to eat here on Christmas Eve. The only downside was our table wasn’t decorated for the occasion. Also being in the corner we couldn’t hear the music. Apart from this it wouldn’t stop us returning.

I absolutely loved this restaurant, The food was amazing and we ended up going twice while on holiday just because there was so much on the menu that we wanted to try . The ladies serving us on both nights were really friendly and wow they worked hard .

Incredible value for the Tapas we had. 3 for £18, the bowl of moussels was like a complete meal in itself. Ribs fell off the bone, Chorizo had a beautiful smokey flavour to them, panko chicken was amazing, Prawn tortillas again amazing and mushrooms my dad loved. Definitely going here again when back down to Cornwall.

An extensive menu using fresh ingredients and served with a smile. Parking is tricky as it’s a busy place. Great place for friends and family as there is a good atmosphere there. Enjoy

We booked about an hour prior to our visit with ease through the online system, My Moroccan spiced chicken skewer with sliced potatoes in a sauce (can’t remember the name) was absolutely superb (highly recommend), the misses had a pizza that was nice but was a little disappointed as it lacked in the tomato sauce on it. The place itself was awesome, it really felt like I was abroad and the staff were great. I would 100% visit again if I’m ever in that area again

Starters were nice. Husband and daughter said their food was OK, but not worth the cost. I ordered steak, medium well. It was impossible to cut with the knife. My husband and daughter tried to cut it for me, but they couldn't manage to either. A second steak was ordered medium well. It came to the table, I tried to cut it in half, and when I did it was raw. Completely raw. I sent it back. The waitress was understanding, she asked if I would like another one or something different. I declined. I was given a refund for the steak. I understand mistakes happen, but my family's experience was also ruined as they were waiting for my 2nd steak to come to the table. Also my potatoes were then cold.

Love this place , really lovely food and authentic dishes with service to match. Not a huge mass produced menu , so reassuring no microwaving here. It can be hard to get a table at popular times throughout the year , booking a must as your highly unlikely to get a walk in table. I cant recommend a particular dish as they are all amazing. Really good for an occasion meal or romantic night out .

Been here twice, the food is excellent my wife and son had the Paella whilst I has the Mussels in Mojo sauce. All dishes were great. I'd review the fries that came with my mussels, but my daughter pinched those!

Best food ever, fresh, tasty and filled me up. The decor was stunning and authentic but not tacky. Busy restaurant but waitresses maintained a smiling face and were attentive. Want to drive back just to eat here again!

Every year that we’ve come to Cornwall it’s become tradition to come and visit la Casita. The staff is really lovely and easy going which is great when one has 3 young children. The menu is great with a big variety so there’s something for everyone ( makes it very helpful when everyone wants something completely different) the kids always love the steak and the tapas and we adults love the Paella

The food at this restaurant is fantastic - really great food, although it's a little pricey. However, the reason this is 3 stars and not five is because of some of the service we received. In general, the service was really good. However, having literally just finished our dessert we were asked to leave our table for another booking and sit outside in the cold to finish the drinks we had just ordered. When you are a family of five (3 children under 12) and have just spent £220 on food and drinks its not acceptable to remove a group from their table after only two hours! Even more frustrating was that when i re-looked at our booking it stated tables of five should have two and a half hours for their meal. As I say the food is good, but this experience put us off revisiting during our holiday and we cancelled our next booking as a result. They need to adhere to the policies under which you booked your table. It's not okay to penalise a family who is paying a fortune for a nice evening and send them out into the cold.

Visited here based on tripadvisor reviews and I wasn't disappointed. Food superb, service great. Had the paella, watermelon and goats cheese salad, sardines and tempura brocoli. It was all beautifully cooked. Chocolate brownie and Eton mess to finish. So good. If you are around this way you should stop by.
