The Deli in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

We have been coming to Carbis Bay for the last few years and staying in the apartments by the beach. We can't fault the service by Maxine who has been very welcoming and helpful over the last couple of years. Her service in the Deli and Beach Restaurant has been fabulous. Her tentative and caring approach to my pregnant wife (at the time) will always stay with us. We returned with our baby boy the year after and Maxine went above and beyond to tend to his needs aswell as our own. We can't wait to see you in June 2025! Jack & Jayne

After a november walk with the dogs on the beach , we popped into the deli. We were welcomed Into this beautiful Cafe by a lady called maxine. I would like to say a special thank you to her for making us so welcome. And spoiling the dogs. We, were lucky enough to be renting a house close by, And this beautiful coffee shop was our go to after a cold walk on the beach. Looks great smells great and has fantastic coffee and hot chocolate. See you again next year!!!!!

I spent a lot of time in here with Maxine and Vicky and it’s like watching the dream team. The Deli as ,as others have said is really coming on so well with its themed nights (we need more of these by the way) and it’s beautiful coffees, and boozy hot chocolates (I love Cointreau in mine)! Would thoroughly suggest everyone goes and just relaxes here. Such a calm and cool environment with the loveliest ladies around! ♥️

What a beautiful setting and wow what a difference. We came a few years ago and this deli had just opened. The lady behind the till just didn’t seem interested in custom or even smiling We returned to a lady called Maxine who I can honestly say has turned this place around. I’m so glad she’s been the manager there as we have decided to come back for another long weekend soon just because of her. What a star and so beautiful too! Thank you to Maxine

Perfect spot for a stop after walking from St. Ives. Great tasting coffee and a cinnamon bun which was kindly warmed up by the lovely, talented barista.

We visited at about 2pm on 16 October and our server was lovely. Very chatty and was happy to share what it was like to live in the area. The coffee she made was really good. We didn't catch this ladies name but she is a real asset to this place. The food was…….disappointing. I ordered chicken ramen noodle soup but it didn't come with ramen noodles but rice noodles which were not properly cooked. Ramen noodle soup should include wheat based Ramen noodles…..not rice noodles. It also included 1 small boiled egg, 4 pieces of chicken and a few bits of chilli and coriander in a luke warm somewhat bland “ broth “ and this sorry excuse for a Ramen noodle soup cost £16. I know the location means you will be paying a premium but at least put a bit of effort into it so what you serve is at least worth what you charge. On a slightly better note my partner said his chicken pesto toasted panini was good…but at £11 so it should be ! It should also be noted that the prices charged are more expensive than on their website so are out if date. Although this is not strictly illegal it is sloppy. Great server with a friendly personality but poor food……enjoy a beautiful beach but bring a picnic and just get drinks from this “deli”

A lovely cafe on the beach at Carbis Bay. Excellent flat white and lovely choice of cakes, we enjoyed the cinnamon bun - delicious. The staff were very friendly and the music inside is good. We sat outside where there is loads of seating and great views. The beach parking is £10, but it’s cheaper up the hill. Easy to get here by train. Very hilly back to the top car parks.

A lovely little deli with a fabulous view and terrace. We loved the music and the laid back vibe and I enjoyed the best oat mile chai latte made by Vicky enjoyed with a daily paper. Very happy.

Its always good here, and we always receive a lovely warm welcome and great service. We went latest, for the brilliant Caribbean Night. Our superb hostess Maxine and her team made sure it was a great night with attentive yet discreet service, attention to detail spot on, delicious authentic menu from Chef, and what better location! Highly recommended.

Absolutely terrific lunch- I had beautifully grilled mackerel( just tasted as if Greek barbecued!)on sourdough bread with pesto and a lovely salad. To company the food I had a delicious glass of chilled Chenin Viognier. My friend loved her bouillabaisse. Vicky who served us and oversaw the meal was superb. Thanks Vicky!😎

We really needed a night out & this was the place to go. Even though it was raining & we sat inside Maxine and her staff made us really welcome. First time I have been brave enough to sample jerk chicken. Tasted like it was straight off the BBQ. Creme brulee and coconut macaroon to follow. The rum punch was fab. Real Jamaican rum. £25 per head. Very good value. A relaxed vibe & music to boot. Thank you

Really enjoyed Paella Night at the Deli last night, the seafood paella was perfect, best sangria I’ve ever had so we stayed on them all night. Maxine did a fantastic job of hosting the event and made friends with everyone, the singing duo give it a real Spanish flavour and we even had a special guest and his family. Perfect night, thank you Carbis Bay Deli and Maxine ❤️🍷🥘

What a Fantastic luncheon venue. The Food was fabulous and our service there was first class. We were looked after by Maxine, who treated us like we were regulars. I cannot talk highly enough of this great experience. We will be back as soon as possible The views were also superb Allan

We only arrived on Sunday and have already been into the Deli three times!!! The food was amazing and service even more so. The lovely Maxine couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and inform us about the menu. Such a lovely place to also stop for a drink too! We had the toasted panini for lunch and they were so.. good! Lovely vibe, amazing staff, great food and who could ever argue with that view!!!

What a beautiful day! Lunch here was amazing and our host Maxi was so beautiful, she is the best head of service! So fun and brilliant! Everything about today has been lush! The staff here at the estate have been absolutely wonderful!

This dream of a place is my favourite after a swim at the Spa ....so welcoming and all the staff great with a smile...and the view is just heaven . Vicky is super efficient , knows my fussy oatmilk decaf cappuccino and small glass of vino off by heart . The lovely waitress comes to say hello and is always full of positive lovely words . The food looks delicious plus so hard to resist the home made cakes or the amazing bacon sandwiches Definitely a place not to miss with its great beach front and ambiance .

Lovely spot overlooking the beach. Stopped for a drink before dinner. Good service, nice drinks but a little pricey for a beach bar. The coffee and teas were reasonable for a good hotel but the house wine at £11 a glass was a little more than you’d expect. Good service and a nice spot though

Called in with friends and had the best double espresso I have had for ages! The view and the service couldn’t be bettered, either. My partner had a breakfast panini with his flat white and said both items were excellent. Served by Vicky, who was lovely - she provided treats for our dogs and (bonus!) the sun even came out. Would recommend.

A relaxed, beautiful setting for any time of day. We had a gorgeous hot chocolate, bacon ciabattas and a sensational granola bowl. Staff are so lovely and very warm and accommodating. We came twice in two days and we aren’t staying at the hotel. Well worth a visit

Come here regularly as they have the best coffee and they always have a treat or two for the dogs. Vicky and the team make you feel welcome. Lunch was delicious and what a view, what more can you ask for. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Lovely spot over looking the beach. Sheltered area so sitting outside, albeit with a coat on, was pleasant. The staff were helpful and friendly especially Kim who made us feel very welcome.

Our Saturday morning go to! After a beautiful walk on our favourite beach we are always pleasantly welcomed by Vicky at the Deli. Great conversation, great coffee (especially the Chai Latte) and great selection of pastries and breakfast goodies. Thank you for always being so welcoming and helpful.

Absolutely love this place, beautiful location right on the beach. Great coffee & pastries & our dog is made very welcome too 💕 Vicky who works here is so welcoming & friendly, as are the other staff. We are regulars, come nearly every day & miss it so much when we don’t!

The Deli is our coffee go to I have to say. Always with a welcome smile from Vicky & an excellent coffee while sitting there seal watching or just taking in the beautiful vista that Carbis Bay has to offer. We travel down to Carbis Bay on a regular basis and always drop in to the Deli for refreshments and if hungry, a bite to eat. Have never been disappointed so not entirely sure some of these reviews have been to the same place.....

Amazing location on a perfect beach. But terrible coffee - there are so many great local coffee roasters so no excuse for this.

Rude staff, paper cups for drinks, couldnt be bothered washing any cups, to aviod dissapointment try somewhere else...

Wouldn't go again . Staff rude. I got a muffin just put on the counter no plate, and 2 coffees to sit in and they were put in paper cups and when I asked why I was abruptly told it was because they didn't have clean dishes. They are dog 'friendly ' yet wouldn't give my dog a drink . Wouldn't waste your money!

Eight of us visited for lunch after walking from Lelant. We ordered sandwiches and various burgers between us, the sandwiches took about 10 minutes to arrive but we had to wait 45 minutes for our burgers and when they arrived they certainly weren’t worth the£18 each we paid for them, and the fries that they were served with were barely cooked. Certainly not worth the money or the wait.

Great spot.food great.had cream tea.Good value for money, however cups were tapered to give impression of more than given.

We call in often on our walks for a sandwich and coffee and mid week often are met by the same lady who delivers excellent customer service in a sincere and friendly way , she is a great ambassador for the business and the main...

Rude staff, extremely expensive, avoid. The women was short and not helpful at all. There was no toilets only public ones ages way.

Excellent location with wonderful views. Food was average. Visit was spoiled by an unfriendly member of staff and our table was in need of cleaning.

Unbelievably rude staff. We had morning coffee at Carbis Bay Deli over looking the beach. After a short while we decided to order lunch for our group from The Deli. Almost as soon as we had ordered (over £150 in total), an extremely rude member...
