Spend Christmas for 3rd year, but not going back. Repeatedly told them of intolerance and on the 3rd morning nothing was soya free apart from egg. No sourdough bread and no care or knowledge that the bread, pasties and cereal all contain soya. Queuing for coffee.,juice, felt like a school canteen. Don't like communal jars of jam etc. By the way the first 2 breakfasts were sourdough with eggs. Shower went hot and cold continually, not had that before.

I can’t fault this idealistic approach to make people who visit here feel like royalty! I felt like posh spice! I know that sounds slightly exaggerated but normally you would have to get on a plane to experience this level of peacefulness, beauty and compassion. Where I’m from (ahem, Newport eek!) it was like rocking up to a palace on a cliff face! Met Grant first behind the bar and he was so helpful and explained the scenario with the spa as we had a full body massage booked at midday.. check in was at 15.00. David had never had a massage until now, he went first while I chilled and had tea and read my book, while Lucy worked her magic… he returned after an hour in disbelief and said he didn’t want it to end. Lucy was amazing and I must say best massage I ever had! You must go for the full body one! Checked in with Maggie, and again just a delight to have met her! She walked me up to my room and I was speechless…. I had a double view of the sea…she went above and beyond the whole time we were there… big hugs when I left! Xxx Went had drinks in the bar with a perfect view of the stormy sea and met some lovely other Cornish people that were there chilling watching the waves… David spilt a whole beer on himself and the floor and then that’s when we met Finn! He ran over from the bar with a replacement drink and tea towels!!! He’s just a legend that boy! So nice getting to know him.. he looked after us til bedtime btw! We went for a swim and hot tub before dinner. You have to book this but hey, there’s nothing worse than people squeezing into an over crowded hot tub. Dinner was amazing.. I had mussels and fish.. Helen looked after us in the restaurant… again, such a lovely person you can’t fault her… Played air hockey and pool and had a bath at midnight! I couldn’t resist Elemis beauty products! Had best sleep ever… woke up to the beautiful sea views and made a brew… David had his own room but mine was loads better! lol .. Had breakfast which was delicious and plentiful. Maggie fitted us in for one final swim and I had a facial from Lucy where I fell asleep hahah.. that relaxed! Then the time came… we had to leave… I couldn’t cope.. felt so happy after an amazing pampered time but so sad to say goodbye to the staff and the hotel itself. I am already planning to come in the summer which will be completely different experience but I do love the angry ocean in the winter (Mother Nature at her best) and this visit was a delight from start to finish. Thank you to everyone who made it so special..hope I mentioned everyone? x x x x. Love Sally x . (and David)

We couldn’t have chosen a better venue for our wedding! Having the hotel on exclusive use made the whole experience feel so special, and the team went above and beyond from start to finish. Georgia was incredible, guiding us every step of the way and ensuring that nothing was ever too much trouble. Her attention to detail and support throughout the process made everything run so smoothly. We’ve had so many compliments on the food—from breakfast to the wedding breakfast to the evening buffet—it was all absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The venue and staff created the perfect atmosphere for our big day, and we truly couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you for helping to make our wedding unforgettable!

My husband and I had a Spa Day. Initially we were advised only one masseuse would be working so we would have an hour wait as we would have to wait whilst we took it in turns to have our massage. On the day they had two staff working so we had our massage at the same time. We had a swim, spa treatment. A cream tea had been booked for 3:15pm we had finished our treatments by 2pm and went to see if we could eat earlier as we were very hungry. So after being seated and being given menus finally I explained to a member of staff that we had a Spa Day which we could have a cream tea, finally after sitting for about 40 minutes our cream tea arrived. We were hungry as breakfast had been around 7am. The afternoon tea looked nice but for 4 scones the amount of jam and cream was very economical. The scones were very crumbly and dry , 2 plain and 2 fruit ( fruit ones had about 4 raisins in each scone)sandwiches were okay, but the bread was a bit crispy, like the bread had been left in the sun and was drying out. We were not asked if everything was okay, we should have been given complimentary glasses of persecco, we didn’t get or even offered these, although our names had been checked against their list of bookings, so they should have known what we were entitled to.We ate everything because we were so hungry. On checking if we owned anything, finally I was asked if we had our glasses of bubbly and I said no, we hadn’t. But not to worry now! I see that these are priced at £7.50 per glass on their website. We would have liked two extra pots of tea instead! It is a fantastic location, although driving through Mullion is tight for large vehicles.

Great hotel. The cheese plate is a joke though. The hotel is really nice and the staff are all amazing. There are great facilities and I would highly recommend staying here. Great spot for kids and dogs. The views of the ocean are amazing. They have a boot room, wetsuit drying room, Game rooms, and much more we didn’t get a chance to see. Unfortunately the cheese plate was very little cheese. 3 deli style slices. Easy fix to get to 5 stars.

Me and a couple of friends came to polurrian for a meal in their restaurant/vista. It was such a lovely place to go to. Amazing setting and atmosphere. Food was very tasty and great portion sizes. I ordered the Buddha bo with an extra topping of teriyaki pork. It was very nice. Considering it wasn’t very busy, the waiting staff was shocking and very slow! We had one person there who we found was amazing and very helpful, Callum who works on the bar was great, he was the one who actually ended up serving us all night. He was supposed to be running the bar, but he did an amazing job multitasking doing two jobs at once coming down to serve our table and other peoples tables. He may aswell just worked there on his own. The rest of the waiting staff wasn’t to be seen. They were very unprofessional at their job. Thank you Callum for making our experience great, you did an amazing job serving our table.

Here for a couple of nights and so far so good. I used to live in Mullion in 1960s so I remember the place well. The hotel is in a great spot to explore the Lizard Peninsular.

I’m writing this on here as I emailed over a week ago and had no response. First off I’d like to say how nice the food was. We arrived at our booking time of 18:30. We were seated by the waitress and given our menus. She came back after around 15 mins and took our order, drinks included. The drinks arrived 20 mins later with an apology for time taken. Food arrived and was lovely. Waitress came back after about 10 mins asking if all was ok, it was. Our table was cleared at around 19:20, that was the last we saw of the waitress, never came back, not even to ask if we would like more drinks or a dessert. In the end at around 20:15 i had to ask for the bill, she(the name Faith was on the bill) promptly brought it over and said she’d be back, we had to again ask her to pay the bill 20 mins later. I find it quite incredible that a service charge is added to the bill even though they must be aware that the service was well below what should have been given. I paid it because I didn’t want to cause a scene in front of other diners.

Rooms are a little dated but are clean and do the job. We took a seat view room which was great. Food in the hotel is great with a nice bar and a few different areas to sit. Lovely outdoor area with some stunning views.

Recently had a wedding here and genuinely I would like to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to every single staff member as they were phenomenal. Our wedding party was around 150 guests and it basically took up the entirety of the hotel for the weekend and the staff did absolutely everything they could to accommodate us, the bar staff especially as we had quite a lot of drinkers at the wedding and even under immense pressure they maintained such a high standard of service and professionalism. Fantastic job guys keep it up and I would highly recommend if you are looking for a wedding venue to consider the Polurrian. Absolutely stunning views!

Avoid this place at all costs. This has to be one of the worst meals in recent memory. Despite the restaurant being only one-third full, our experience was marred by several notable issues. Firstly, the service was incredibly slow and disjointed. We had to ask for the drinks order to be taken whilst the waitress was in the process of taking our food order. Throughout the meal, the pace remained sluggish, from the time we placed our orders to the clearing of our mains. The quality of the food did not fare much better. The risotto starter was a particular disappointment, resembling and tasting like a hastily assembled supermarket grab-and-go meal. Adding to the frustration, our dessert experience was marred by further service mishaps. Despite ordering coffee with our pudding, it never materialized. When we attempted to rectify the situation and have the coffee removed from the bill, we were met with resistance from the waitress, leading to an unnecessary dispute during payment. Moreover, the overall attentiveness of the staff was severely lacking. At times, members of our party had to actively seek out servers to address our needs. In summary, our visit to The Polurrian Restaurant was marred by slow service, subpar food quality, and a lack of attentiveness from the staff. Unfortunately, these shortcomings overshadowed any potential positives, resulting in a shoddy dining experience. This place has taken a significant dive since out last visit and is a clear example of an establishment relying on the merits of a nice view whilst not offering anything of its own.

Just back home after an absolutely amazing stay here. We stayed in room 107 and the views from there were breathtaking (See my photo's) the sunset really added to the evening. The hotel staff where wonderfully friendly and engaging and very helpful. The hotel is located just a stones throw from Polurrian beach so it's ideal for a quick dip in the sea, but use the path not the steps to get back to the hotel. We had both an evening meal and breakfast which were outstanding. I'd highly recommend staying here and yes we will be back.
