Cafe 54 in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Absolutely delicious food, terrible customer service. Found plastic in a sandwich on one occasion, multiple egg shells in a breakfast sandwich on another occasion. Then on another business lunch a colleague had a tomato and basil sandwich that turned out to be tomato and mint. Was told to “come back on Saturday for replacement” when the cafe closed for the forseeable future that very saturday. Plastic and eggshells in sandwich never addressed in comminication. Such a shame the service standards were so poor. One lady was absolutely brilliant and was let down by the other staff members. Either way would love to see the Cafe open for food soon. Not least for a replacement sandwich for my colleague!

Found this little gem in Carbis Bay on our recent holiday. Lovely pastries and amazing local coffee which was really what we needed to start our day. Lovely people serving and made it a highlight to go there to get our fix of caffeine.

I only popped in for 20 minutes for morning coffee and a cake but it was a great experience. I think it was the music being played but it was relaxing. Felt like I was in the Med, rather than sitting in a car park. Lovely service, nice coffee and croissant. Top job.

Visited for breakfast with my family this morning. The girls serving were extremely friendly and attentive & the food was amazing. Everyone was very happy. Will visit again soon!

I honestly cant rate this place enough! The food is delicious. freshly made and hot. The drinks can be a tad expensive but they are very tasty. especially the Pina Colada. we were in St Ives for a week and we visited Café 54 everyday. The staff are polite and friendly. in my opinion, this place is a little gem.

Stumbled across this place and loved it! The quality of the food was fabulous and really good value for money. Plenty of choice and all freshly made.

We stayed over the road at Downsfield and popped in here 1 lunchtime in between activities for a quick bite to eat. We chose the chicken and avocado in sour dough and it was delicious! We ended up visiting a further 2 times and everything we ordered was fresh and delicious! Nice atmosphere, waitresses were always very bubbly and friendly, a great little place! Mike and Nat

We stopped for lunch- salads were delicious, the bread board was fabulous. Cake and coffee afterwards were also great. Definitely recommend this place. They are mainly outdoor seating, great in the warmer weather.

Absolutely fabulous food. Natalie our server very friendly and genuine guided us to the seafood platter what a brilliant choice. We had cycled and wanted good qty food and some where to park the bikes. Sat outside under canopy.would definitely visit again and highly recommend 10 out of 10 for us.

Food was amazing, delicious prawns and bread from a local bakery. Service was fantastic, friendly and very relaxed atmosphere. Food came out quickly. The only negative would be that the coffee could have been to a slightly higher standard with latte art. However, it is not a coffee shop, so it would be unfair to judge them based on this. Still better coffee than any of the chains. Terrific place to eat, would highly recommend. Best food I've had down here so far, will be coming back again this week and whenever we come back down to this area.

Popped in here for a lovely tasting cappacino. Great vibe and good selection of cake and pastries. Friendly, just a bit pricey but guess this is St Ives. Enjoy

Popped in with work colleagues for a breakfast. Wasn't disappointed. Had the scrambled egg with cornish crab, try it. Staff were friendly and not too bad a price. Will definitely be back

Excellent, I had breakfast there twice this week, and it was quality ingredients and all well cooked and presented. I gave a 4 because I asked for one egg on my second visit and was ignored. I would have paid the set price for two eggs either way, but to ignore my request and waste the egg was a shame. I pointed it out when it arrived at the table but I was ignored. Other than that it is a great cafe bar and I would recommend it.
