The best restaurants in Bristol, City of South West

this was my first time coming to KIBOU and all i can say is~the food, the service, drinks, the atmosphere of the place was pure vibessss ‧₊˚ ⋅ 𓐐𓎩 ‧₊˚ ⋅ㅤᵕ̈⋆.˚🦋༘⋆ so so so good, would highly recommend !! high quality and so tasty🇯🇵🍜🍡🍣🍘🥟🍚🍱🍙🍢🍥🍛🥢sorry i didn't take pics of the food... we just demolished it, it was that good 🤤😮‍💨 can't wait to come again 🍮🍵🍶❤️‍🔥

This was a really good find. Staff were efficient and friendly and you cannot beat the location. The cocktails were delicious and freshly made, prices were quite reasonable as well. I was spoilt for choice with the amount of cocktails on offer!

Omg that box of food was delicious! Falafels were beautiful - mixed salad underneath - chili sauce ! The guy who served me was great - overall I’m impressed!

Great place and love the friendly staff, atmosphere and music.

We did not receive the food we had ordered. They served us kebab instead of chicken, even though they offered to change it. However, we were in a hurry and could not wait another 30 minutes. The rice was also not good. This was not the Persian food we were expecting. At least the server could have been Persian and understood Iranian food.

Visited with my partner. Seen wonderful reviews so we took the plunge and went to Fishponds. So disappointing! Latte tepid when I asked for hot. The bun was cold, the cheese not melted, spinach had seen better days and it was just 😑 I would most definitely not go back and to charge upfront? Bizarre! How can you ask for a service charge before any service? Bigger cobwebs than in my shed and extremely dusty! It is definitely rustic but I don’t think that should mean grubby. I really wanted to leave a 5star review as the staff informed us that they get £2.50 from the company for the review but really, it doesn’t warrant a 2 star which I have given.

Went for lunch with my 2 sisters. Had the larger tasting menu paired with the wine flight. Every course tasted heavenly and pairing was great. Philip the sommelier was at the top of his game 🤓, each pairing was explained in detail and so were the courses. I will definitely go back with a lot more friends. Oh, the sourdough bread & butter made in house was to die for 😋😋😋😋

We had a fabulous lunch here on spec. The restaurant was pretty full (no problem having our small dog with us). The maitre d’hotel was fantastic, very entertaining. The sharing burrata starter was to die for and the pizzas were very good. If only we lived near we would dine there often.
