Great service and healthy tasty food. I had a dirty chai coffee and poached eggs with flatbread, hummus and salsa. Even though it was busy the waiter was helpful and took the time to explain some of the ingredients on the menu.

Was really nice breakfast, staff were lovely and had such a good time! The place was nice and cosy, loved the decor and felt really homely.

We were staying in Bristol for a few days and decided to go for Sunday brunch to the Crafty Egg. It's obviously very popular and we were lucky to walk in as there was soon a queue outside. The menu looked great and as someone with two dietary requirements I was pleased that the staff were able to accommodate my needs with no trouble at all. The food was absolutely delicious and just what we needed to set us up for the day.

We had the Afghan eggs and the smoked salmon and potato hash, both were utterly delicious. Quality ingredients and perfectly balanced. We were spoilt for choice in the menu so will be coming back to try some if the other dishes. Highly recommend.

A short wait outside on a Sunday morning. Lovely welcome from the waiter, who showed us to bar seating and then was happy to relocate us to a table that became free. Service excellent, food fantastic. Thanks !

Had a lovely brunch here, good flavors, the lavender latte was lovely. The decor inside is very nice, and they have the plants for sale.

There were queues outside so our expectations were high. We were seated on stools which were surprisingly comfortable . Ordered coffees which came quickly and were good and strong . We had Turkish eggs and a potatoes with halloumi dish. Both were large portions and tasty - but the potatoes were lukewarm warm at best and the egg it came with only just cooked. You pay on order - including a 10% service charge ; once served no one checks your food ok. The temperature issue wasn’t enough to try to find someone / make a fuss about but had we been asked would have mentioned. Nice relaxed atmosphere - nice decor and laid back.

came here for brunch with my friend and it was perfect. the inside decor is gorgeous and has lots of plants and greenery. the staff were really friendly and got us a table straight away. both our meals and drinks were lovely and presented really well, would recommend!

Staffs was very welcoming, order and paying at the same time with 10% service charge on it, service very normal nothing special of it like a normal cafe on the service, breakfast was good recommended the Vegan crafty is very nice especially the tofu. Went to Crafty Egg based on recommendation but also what we read online.Not impressed ,our food was cold when we received our breakfast - beans must have been straight out of the tin The only good thing was nice coffee for my wife but three quarter filled mug of tea for myself when everywhere else it’s a full mug .It’s a very small place with no room and could do with a deep clean. The shared toilet are a let down and where we were seated there was a constant stream to the toilet with people continuously knocking into you as they go /come from the toilet .After eating in few outlets while visiting Bristol, I d recommend Mud Dock by far !!What a breakfast with homemade beans (first for me )and tasted divine , excellent service, spacious and really good quality food. When you google breakfast cafes in Bristol ,Crafty Egg comes up first and Mud Dock 3rd,should be other way .

Our visit was a tale of two experiences: wonderful cuisine overshadowed by an unwelcoming service atmosphere. From the moment I entered, the lack of warmth was palpable. The staff appeared to be more than just disinterested; they seemed genuinely inconvenienced by the presence and requests of customers. An unusual incident marred my waiting time for a companion. I opted to read the news on my tablet, a preference due to my age and the difficulty I face reading on a smaller mobile phone screen. Surprisingly, I was told that the use of a tablet was not allowed, although using a mobile phone would have been fine. This rule struck me as arbitrary and particularly inconvenient, given my specific needs. My attempt to explain and seek some understanding was met with indifference. When I tried to share this feedback with the staff, hoping it would reach the management, the response was dismissive. I was directed to post my concerns on TripAdvisor instead, hence this review. The culinary experience at The Crafty Egg on the other hand was wonderful. The food and coffee were excellent, a testament to the skill and effort of the kitchen staff. However, the pleasure of the meal was diminished by the overcrowded, stuffy environment, with steamy windows adding to the discomfort. While The Crafty Egg excels in its culinary offerings, the overall experience is significantly dampened by an unwelcoming service attitude and a confusing, if not discriminatory, policy regarding digital devices. A visit here means enjoying great food but potentially at the cost of comfort and a sense of welcome.

Fantastic brunch menu, so many tempting options and when I finally did manage to choose what to have it didn’t disappoint! Good atmosphere and lovely service too.

Great service, excellent coffee and breakfast. I had the mushroom & kimchi on toast, which was amazing! My friends food looked equally as good. I even bought the cookbook! The area was a great place to shop also. Well worth a visit!
