We did not receive the food we had ordered. They served us kebab instead of chicken, even though they offered to change it. However, we were in a hurry and could not wait another 30 minutes. The rice was also not good. This was not the Persian food we were expecting. At least the server could have been Persian and understood Iranian food.

RUDE WAITER. FOOD HYGENE OS A BIG ISSUE. I recently visited KUCH with my family, and while the starters were surprisingly good, the experience quickly took a nosedive once the mains arrived. We ordered the lamb kofta kebabs, expecting a well-cooked dish, but what we got was practically raw meat. We couldn’t even finish it. The diners next to us caught a glimpse of the lamb and were visibly shocked—it was so undercooked that it clearly hadn’t hit the minimum 75°C it should have to be safe to eat. To make things worse, the waiter’s attitude was unbelievable. When we raised the issue, he barely hid his disinterest. His body language screamed that he didn’t care at all—arms crossed, sighing, no attempt to make things right. He and the owner tried to brush it off by saying we should have asked for the meat to be well done. But here’s the thing: nowhere on their menu does it say that the lamb comes undercooked or that we have to specify this. It’s not like ordering a steak where you’re asked how you’d like it done. It felt like they were making excuses to cover up a serious food safety issue. If you care about your health and don’t want to risk eating unsafe, raw meat, I’d strongly recommend staying far away from this place. This was beyond disappointing and, frankly, concerning. I do not recommend KUCH.

I love kuch! I went there for my 30th bday and they were lovely to our whole party. The starters were delicious and the staff was really friendly. One of my fave spots in Bristol.

I am a fussy Persian food critic but I have to say this is one of the best Persian meals I've had outside Iran congratulations this review is on behalf of all five members of our party

As a Persian I would say Kashke bademjan and bread was good. But the rice was watery and not good at all. Kebabs were okay but very small portion and not exactly Persian taste. Overall I give them 3.

Rude waiter Asked me "Are you even English?" after I misheard something and asked him to repeat himself. Visibly unhappy to be serving, or maybe prejudiced to some?

Terrific food that is something quite different to your normal cuisine. We are both foodies and we’re really impressed by the service and quality of the food which was something really unique compared with other local offerings. We would highly recommend anyone to try this place!

From a Persian/Iranian experience, to come to the restaurant and enjoy traditional food, DON’T, food is not what you expect and it’s not greatest overpriced for what you get, won’t be visiting again or recommending to anyone. MY HONEST OPINION.

Fresh herbs and vegetables. Very happy vegetarian and meat eaters; lots of choice for both. Really enjoyed the Mirza and dhal. Definitely keep room for dessert. Delicious unusual ice creams. Helpful, welcoming service. A real find. New favourite restaurant in Bristol!

Went for the first time on Friday and certainly won’t be our last. The bread and the aubergine dip was amazing, Fish curry & the pulled lamb👌. Even tho the food was fantastic our reason to definitely go back will be because of the guy that served us, we dine quite alot and we have never had such good service. From start to finish the service he gave was amazing. Helping us pick dishes, checking if everything was ok just generally caring about his customers. He definitely made our night. Reasonable prices and what I also liked they don’t add a service charge. Don’t agree when places do this as I feel you should leave something if your completely happy not to be told what they think their service is worth. We were more than happy to leave a tip on this occasion. Looking forward to our next visit.

What I can only describe as one of the most bizarre dining experiences I’ve had out. I’m not sure what was going on and I’m really not the type to complain usually. Perhaps we may have gone on a particularly bad night where the team were having a shocker… but nonetheless I can’t leave a positive review. - very peculiar guy serving us who made us feel quite unsettled and appeared to be drunk/under the influence of something - we waited a loooong time before having our order taken including drinks (we even asked a few times if we could order during that time and were asked to wait) - portions were pretty small, nice enough but not amazing but not too expensive either -part of the order never arrived and when questioned we were told they didn’t have any of the missing item (which we weren’t informed of when we ordered) - the guy got our order wrong and then the bill wrong numerous times - it was pure chaos with banging plates, shouting and general clumsiness so it was actually quite hard to hear & was very distracting which made it difficult to catch up with our friends Certainly wouldn’t describe it as a relaxing dining experience nor would I recommend it. We were pretty disappointed overall but pleased the bill wasn’t too expensive at least. Hopefully they manage to get back on track because I can’t see they’ll last long in the state they were in when we were there!

This was the worse restaurant I ever been, the quality of Qorma Zabzi was from last year full of watering tested like lemon. The Kabab Kobeda was tested like Barbecue sauce. The rice was full of watering. Think twice before you go to this restaurant.

Favourite restaurant in Bristol. Food is outrageous, when my partner and I go there, we order every appetiser there is and just share it all. The owner (or the man that has been there each time) is so attentive and kind, very lovely. Can't reccomend enough

Amazing dinner and wonderful service. We had a lovely evening and would recommend to anyone.

Just stopped by for dessert with friends, we had the most delicious assortment of Persian ice creams and Palestinian date pudding. Service was excellent - they had no problem kindly explaining unknown ingredients on the menu to us! Would be keen to come back and have a full meal.

Authentic, Delicious, Great Menu 🐑 Booked dinner for 3 hoping for authentic persian cuisine: was not disappointed. Probably one of the nicest lamb & rice dishes I’ve ever had. Extremely tasty meat, served with saffron rice (had some sumak on top), hummus and red pepper dip and a nice salad on side. starters were great to share: warm aubergine with feta delicious and large flatbread was amazing (couldn’t have similar at home) Service was great, prompt, friendly, accommodating. Try it.

lovely food. if i can recommend something is the aubergine starter and the prawn and squid rice (plate of the house option). Service was fast and attentive. good option for family dinners.

🤤 tl;dr - if you're considering if you should dine here, the answer is a resounding *yes* ! At a handy location for Clifton or Redland, the Persian cuisine here is fantastic, with great flavours. For starter I recommend the mirza (a personal favourite of mine from Persian dishes), and it goes well with the bendi baaji and the flatbread. For mains, the Ghalieh Mahi is billed as "the best fish curry in town", and I can believe that! The hand-pulled lamb shoulder has an excellent flavour too. In short: pay this place a visit, you won't regret it!

We love this restaurant - it's our favourite local! The food is always fantastic, really friendly, welcoming staff and well priced. In the summer, they open up the doors and you can sit looking out onto the street. I'm always surprised at how many people haven't heard of this place! If you're yet to try, I would 100% recommend.

Fantastic food - the classic Persian dishes are delicious, quite unique and unlike any I have tasted in restaurants serving middle Eastern food. Friendly, efficient service early on a Sunday evening pre-theatre.

We arrived at 6 or so on a Sunday evening. Greeted by a friendly jolly Portuguese waiter who was attentive all evening. Our family includes a vegetarian so we ordered lots of delicious , distinctive, vegetable only dishes. One was 'naan-o-paneer-o sabzi' which was a wonderful surprise of basil leaves, fresh parsley, walnuts, fresh coriander, spring onions, cubes of feta with lovely olive oil; another was their version of 'humous' made with green fava beans. Another was a 'Mirza', a warm aubergine, garlic and tomato dish. And more delicious dishes and flavours. The two meat eaters reported that their respective shoulder of lamb and migoo & hot sausage were delicious and flavoursome. There was even a Bristol beer on offer! Would definitely recommend and will return.

Little gem for Persian food!! Chicken wings and Persian bread are a must 👌 We tried the Persian seafood risotto which was great. We’ll definitely be back to try some of the other dishes as everything coming out the kitchen looked nice. Reasonable in price too!

We have eaten here a few times and we are never disappointed - but always delighted with the choice of delicious food, the great atmosphere, the friendly staff - all at very reasonable prices.

Kuch has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. There is lots of variety on the menu and everything we have tried on our various visits is delicious, particularly the fish and the lamb, as well as some very tasty vegetarian dishes .

If you are into southern style Iranian food this is a must go to place. The man serving us was so polite and gaved us the best experience in this restaurant. Will definitely recommend to try

This was the perfect place for our anniversary meal. The food (we both had the fish curry, Persian rice, and bread) was unbelievably good, and the service and hospitality was amazing. A fantastic place to spend an evening!

We were looking forward to coming here for some authentic Persian food and weren't disappointed. Having been to Iran a few years ago we made a point of calling in on our recent visit to Bristol as sadly it's not a cuisine we can experience in many places in the UK. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and fantastic food. We were made very welcome by the owner and thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate. The tahini ice cream was a revelation!

Took the parents here for a Sunday evening meal. Absolutely amazing. We were going to order individual starters but our server recommended ordering different things and sharing, and i'm so glad he did. Our mains were just as great. The service was outstanding, the kitchen worked quickly, all got served fast and at the same time. Prices are so reasonable. We'll be back ASAP. I wish i'd got the name of our server- a Portugese gentleman with black hair- we were so well looked after. Thank you

We had a lovely meal here. I’ve never had Persian food before and I probably couldn’t choose a better place for the first experience. I had the fish curry (comes with rice) and flatbread. It all seemed really authentic to me and was absolutely delicious. A nice ambience in the restaurant and reasonably priced too.

Absolutely love this place and great to be back after lockdown. The food is always delicious and reasonably priced. The wine was on the pricey side which was surprising. Far more than we remembered from the last time we came. We ordered an organic red but they had run out so brought us a non organic red. They still charged the same amount which was a shame. The staff are lovely and the service is great. A very enjoyable evening!

Delicious food, superb service, and my colleagues and I sat right by the open windows on a lovely sunny day, so it was a gorgeous atmosphere. We shared a variety of starters between a few of us and I had the chicken kebab as my main (as photographed) but the star of the show was definitely the halloumi kebab my friend got (unfortunately i didn't get a photo).

Amazing food, wonderful service and great vibe 😍 Loved the flavours, persian samosa (samboseh) and shashlik vegetarian (and the rice that came along it) were amongst the best of all I ordered! Must try!!

The food was excellent. Delicious flavours and I'm told very authentic. Not to mention good options 😊 We went not long after they opened on a Sunday lunch so can't really comment on the atmosphere, but the decor was great. We would definitely go back.

They brought the wrong dish and we said it straight away. The lady serving us argued with us instead of changing the dish. It was an awkward situation, however, at the end they only charged half price of the dish, so I edited this review

Not worth the effort to travel here. First time I booked a week before and they called me on the day to say they now wouldn't be opening for the evening and to find somewhere else to eat. The second time I booked a table for 5pm today and turned up to find the restaurant open but no one there. We called to the chef standing in the back and he said 'you can sit and wait if you want but I don't know when a waiter or the owner will be here to serve you'. We waited 15 minutes in an empty restaurant but no one arrived so went elsewhere. I don't know how they have a good business when they aren't here for customers!

We always loved this place as food is really simple and very tasty. Today it was disappointed to see poor quality of the food. We have ordered Tafton bread but it was really small sized ,dry and steal, which came with raw salad without any dressing.🙁🙁 Hope we get same quality of food next time .

This was by far the best persian/Iranian restaurant I’ve been in the UK. They do not serve typical persian restaurant Kebabs but authentic southern dishes that you cannot find even in Tehran.

Food is good but portions are small to compare with traditional persian restaurants. I wouldn't recommend it in terms of value for money and customer service.

I have never eaten a meal where every single bite was my favourite before tonight. I ordered a couple of starters and the flavours and quality was the best I’ve tasted in my 56 years. This isn’t hyperbole; it was Devine. And I couldn’t finish it. Wow
