After taking 10 minutes to be seated, we placed our orders and then having waited nearly an hour, the same server came to us to ask if we were ready to place our order yet again having walked past our table on numerous occasions. She then stated that it was simply a mistake and our order hadn’t been processed. The manager came over and politely tried to compensate us with free drinks but at that point my 11 year old son was so hungry we decided to leave. Appalling service and hugely disappointed with the lack of care and consideration.

We’re regulars here and this is our first visit since the refurb. It’s much lighter inside and there seems to be more space between the tables. The food is well cooked, and our main course arrived very quickly, we hadn’t even finished our bowl of salad which we had as a starter! Soft drinks prices seemed a bit high though, £4 for a bottomless glass and £5.80 for a ginger beer. The atmosphere was good and the service was excellent, thanks Terri!

Cannot believe Sainsbury's is shutting Castlepoint restaurant, I'm sitting here 1 o'clock and restaurant is packed, very short sighted of Sainsbury's especially when other supermarkets like Dunhelm are expanding restaurants

Usually enjoy shopping here but recent experiences have changed that. Often feel like I’m constantly being judged by the staff which makes for an uncomfortable shopping experience. Have also felt like they’re rarely have clothes in Medium size which is disappointing. I already find it a bit stressful shopping as a man and this isn’t helping.

Loovvee this store, staff know us well enough (especially my mum) to know our usual drinks order although mine changes a lot 🤪 The staff served quickly, have a chat and always POLITE, I don't think anyone has ever been distant or rude. Only thing I'd say is AlWAYS check babyccinno temperatures, there are a couple of staff who consistently make them with HOT and I mean like 160°f milk, I forgot to check once and it burnt my 2yr olds mouth 😞😞😞 I still feel awful and it was months ago, don't be afraid to go back up and ask for another one, they are always apologetic and rectify immediately. Always a pleasant experience. Toilets and furniture need a massive upgrade though

Booked a table of 3. Came in, was welcomed by a lovely man, who made us feel welcome straight away. He took us to our table, where Wendy came over and looked after us. She was polite, happy and professional. She looked after us really well. The chef was lovely too. The food was delicious. Thank you for you hard work. We will be back very soon.

Fabulous well cooked well priced breakfast. Really good value. Staff very efficient and helpful. Clean tables. Very pleased and will definitely call again.

The driver took my food so no food and payed for hope he enjoys it and took over a hour to even accept my food
