The best restaurants serving British food in Strouden Park Bournemouth South West

After taking 10 minutes to be seated, we placed our orders and then having waited nearly an hour, the same server came to us to ask if we were ready to place our order yet again having walked past our table on numerous occasions. She then stated that it was simply a mistake and our order hadn’t been processed. The manager came over and politely tried to compensate us with free drinks but at that point my 11 year old son was so hungry we decided to leave. Appalling service and hugely disappointed with the lack of care and consideration.

We’re regulars here and this is our first visit since the refurb. It’s much lighter inside and there seems to be more space between the tables. The food is well cooked, and our main course arrived very quickly, we hadn’t even finished our bowl of salad which we had as a starter! Soft drinks prices seemed a bit high though, £4 for a bottomless glass and £5.80 for a ginger beer. The atmosphere was good and the service was excellent, thanks Terri!

Hoy visité el M&S Café en Castle Point en Bournemouth y me decepcionó mucho la experiencia. Pedí un desayuno todo el día, pero cuando finalmente llegó, estaba frío como una piedra. Para empeorar las cosas, faltaban por completo elementos clave como el rostis de patata y los hongos, que figuraban en el menú. El resto de la comida estaba tan fría que no era comestible. Cuando pedí ketchup, me quedé con pimienta negra. El servicio estaba desorganizado, y la calidad general era inaceptable para un café bajo la marca M&S. Esta fue mi primera visita, y por desgracia, también será la última.

Delicious Food and Outstanding Service! I had the pleasure of being served by Jake at the carvery, and his cheerful, polite, and friendly demeanor truly stood out. It’s so refreshing to see such a welcoming face behind the counter. The portions of meat were perfect, and the selection from the carvery was excellent, everything was hot, fresh, and consistently replenished.
