Costa Coffee in Bournemouth

Filthy, will not visit this branch again.

This Costa has been wonderful for my mum, who literally comes in every day. It's perfect for her because she has limited mobility, so one of the only places she can manage as the parking is right outside, and she is made to feel welcome and they take care of her. Her coffee went cold, and they remade it for her. She is very forgetful and let her pay at a later date when she forgot her pin, or they try and help her download the Costa app. It's these kinds of acts of human kindness that go such a long way in this world as you never know what troubles someone is going through. My mum says the staff literally never stop working, and this little coffee shop gets her out of the house once a day and when she has no food at home and cant shop she knows she can always get one of your delicious mozzarella paninies and small lattes. thank you, Costa staff...🥰🥰🥰

Great service but might be quite busy sometimes

9 times out of 10 it's fine but it's a bit Russian roulette. Today there were 2 blokes doing the tills, one lad trying to look busy looking at things and only one other doing all the coffees. And guess what - 10 customers stood around waiting cos the bottleneck was the drinks. Few weeks ago we got served a cold bacon roll - not an issue, but I saw one of the staff check it with the back of her hand after it was on the tray and did zitch about it.

this branch is one of the best i have been to. all the staff are very welcoming and helpful, especially bruno! he is very friendly, kind and always puts a smile on my face. 😊

Been here twice and it’s been crowded. This is not a negative review but to make sure you know what to expect.

Terrible service, just been served oat milk latte instead of coconut milk latte, when I took it back the man didn't even apologise and no decent communication at all. What if I was allergic!

The guys on this morning were amazing 5* service friendly welcoming 🙏 just brilliant all round. I am having a challenging time my mum had a stroke, I am caring for her... Just having these two fellas smile & make cheerful banter was what I needed. Now every time I use the cup I brought I will think of them & remember the good things from this journey . Went on for lunch before shopping. It was very tasty and the staff friendly and over all great.

Good atmosphere, quality coffee however air conditioning was blooming freezing..hate having to sit with your coat on to have a coffee.

Was given the wrong order and when complaining, the contact number doesn’t work, and I am emailing back and forth with unhelpful computer monitored responses, they are not properly listening to my experience at all. Very unhappy will not be ordering again.

Asked for a coffee extra hot and was served a lukewarm coffee.

Today I was served by a lovely man called Bruno. It was a breathe of fresh air to be served by someone so friendly, chatty & happy. He really made my day. I did go back to him when I had finished to tell him this personally as, working with the public myself, I know people are usually quick to complain & that praise is given far less.

Ordered coffee and breakfast x 2. Didn't deliver the breakfast. Coffee was nice.

I come to different costa branches on regular basis but today’s experience is Amazing and one of the best with Mr Bruno at costa at Mallard Road. He treated us extremely well, he is very polite, very friendly with us and with our kid, the drinks were super and we really enjoyed our experience today. Just visited Mallard road Costa toilets were disgusting iced latte wasn't any better weak and tasteless. There were at least five members of staff and not one of them seemed to know what was what.

Very slow service every time staff chatting while you wait to be served

Food is limited but the cakes are nice & drinks are good. Nice atmosphere & friendly, helpful staff.

My son ordered a drink and it never arrived. We checked and it said it had been delivered. We didn’t receive a call to say they had trouble finding the address, so we have no idea where it was delivered to. One very unhappy boy ☹️

Today, 11/06/2024, I was treated badly by an attendant named Reggi. With a pretentious tone, he pointed out to me that you don't enter through the side door, but the main one, even though it's open all the time! I don't feel like calling the customer who he thinks he is!!!!! an employee and his moodiness are probably not his responsibility to address a customer like that! is this his property, (Costa)? then let him take care of clearing the tables and cleaning them because they are dirty and sticky!!!! and above the heads of the staff there is a sheet of metal with old dirt stuck to it and falling onto the counter with coffee!!!! Maybe he should take care of it and ask for a more polite tone because we are the customers, right!!!!

The staff are so lovely and always happy to accommodate any changes, even if a problem arises they try their best to sort it quickly as well as providing amazing customer service, the place itself is very accessible with indoor and outdoor seating

Their service quality varies. I don't like the atmosphere at all. It's always cold because of the aircon that blows cold air to you all the time and the staff could dress more tidy. I don't know what it is that makes me feel so negative about that place, apart from that

Used to come this place when i lived Bournemouth. Visit lovely Sunday again for a cup of coffee

Can't go wrong with coffee sometimes the service is a bit slow but otherwise great.

It's OK, but find this store not so clean as other stores. Also their cups always comes with marks, so I started taking take away cups.

Popped in for a pre shopping coffee. The store was clean and only a few tables needed clearing from dirty plates/cups. The guy who served us was very polite and cheery and was a pleasure to chat to. Drinks were hot and well made and the birthday treat went down well.

My order stated ‘delivered’ 2 hours after my order time and I still did not receive it.

Would give 0 stars if possible. Front door inaccessible, only 2 staff that couldn't cope, dirty tables full of used crockery, very poor food offered, the food offered not very appetising, will never return. Worst part.... the coffee was undrinkable, truly disgusting. Dined in but had to make do with take out paper cups.

Drinks were awesome today. I wanted to phone and say thank you, but the number doesn’t work. Really appreciated the real whipped cream as it makes a difference. I usually get the weird whip stuff even when I ask for cream, so thank you :)

Awful place. Run by children who would sooner be somewhere else. Filth and mess everywhere. Your life drains away waiting for your drink and cannot be bothered to provide Internet.

My Order was missing BLT Sandwich.

Food and coffee arrived very almost cold unfortunately. Courier took ages getting there, so may be more their fault than costa but idk.

I like this Costa. The shopping centre is less busy than Castlepoint over the road. It's quite a big Costa and you can sit and chat without feeling you've got to give up your table to someone else.

The place is always busy ..so you may find at times dirty tables.Also a major minus is that their wi fi is not working ..ofther than that standard Costa.

On the day we visited one toilet was out of order and from where we were sitting 4 people tried to use other toilet using the code on the receipt. All walked away as it showed engaged for all of that time . No staff member helped, something could have been seriously wrong and if no facilities available surely they should have closed.

Driver was very kind and professional but the drinks were poorly packed

Out priced itself now with sneaky price raises. Gone to small independent who btw is £1.00 cheaper for same drink. A shame as I liked Costa and some of the staff at my local Kinson outlet.

I visited a few days ago ..the outside resembled a tip ..filthy tables litter that had obviously fallen off the tables scattered around on the floor .the staff are friendly and the coffee good ..but sadly its getting a bad reputation...sort it out Costa

Disappointed with the customer service at this place! The lady serving the drink, dropped my iced tea, instead of starting a new one she just starting re-measuring by eye the ingredients, when I mentioned I wanted a new drink she got upset and just "washed the cup" in the sink to start a new drink in the same cup... Never had any similar experience in any coffee place!

Not the best Costa, the hot chocolate was not hot. Dirty seating area: dirty tables, had to wipe down myself. Food all over the floor. Will avoid in future.

I liked the coffee but not the odd uncleared tables and food under a chair and table. It's not the staffs fault as they are rushed off their feet but surely Costa can afford to have one person clearing tables etc.

Lovely costa, toilets require a code only given AFTER a purchase, hence not totally accessible or disability friendly. So loses stars for lack of inclusivity.

This particular Costa Coffee has great memories for me … I took my Dad there several times before his passing, he loved the Coffee in Costa. And now I take my Mum whenever I can. It’s situated next an good sized car park and the accessibility is very good and of course the Coffee is great. I have started drinking Coffee with Oat milk and is tastes great.

I discovered after ordering, paying for and receiving my coffee that they did not have the Internet, and further more my coffee was not very hot. The Internet issue had been going on since November but i didn't see a notice saying anything so I rushed through my large latte (easy to do as not very hot) and left pronto! Had I gone in with a friend to chat it would have been fine, but as i had specifically chosen the place to do some important work on my laptop I wasn't very happy. I will not be rushing back that is for sure.

Firts no WIFI , secondly it’s already cold outside 5 degrees , air con it’s on cold not on hot , so clearly take the coffe and go , wouldn’t recommend it , you can’t enjoy your coffe .

Ordered a mocha and a cappuccino both medium, takeaway. This is now the second time bad coffee has been served to me. Mocha was great, cappuccino however, tasted like a cheap instant branded coffee with a slight burnt taste and it wasn't even a full cup. Needless to say the second fail so won't be returning here. I'v had better Costa from a service station.

Very quick service & wit a smile & very polite staff.

Nice coffee and good service - outdoor seating is available but don't expect amazing views as this is based on the edge of a car park within an industrial shopping area! Still, during good weather, it's nice to have a Costa coffee shop that has outdoor seating. There is a single toilet on site with numerical push-lock access only to paying customers (the code to the toilet, which changes occasionally, is given at the bottom of printed receipts).

queue to get served was long and staff were slow to serve meaning the queue didn't go down very fast. apart from that good coffee and food.

Have been coming here for a couple of years now but it is seriously not as good as it once was, the sandwiches are okay but the ones I really liked are no longer being supplied. Also in the last month or two the free WiFi is no longer available and my phone signal is nonexistent, its a shame really the coffee is still nice but not much else.

Wrong items in order, half order missing and the pastry was yesterday's, old and stale! Abysmally bad.

Rancid cesspit, code locked toilet means you have to order to get codex then race the toilet break with coffe being servicd, toilets filthy, no hand dryer working. service area absolutly shockingly filthy, never seen such disregard for basic cleaning, even the coffe machine was revolting. Every table stacked with dirty stuff..... Not sure what's going on here, but looking at other reviews this seems to be the normal here......

I love Costa at Mallard Road Bus Depot, the staff are friendly & give good service especially as they are always busy.

I appreciate delivering drinks isn't easy, but not making sure the lid is in securely is a basic error. A third of the hot chocolate was sloshed around the bag. Then having ordered 2 cake slices we only had the 1 delivered...disappointing.
