I come to different costa branches on regular basis but today’s experience is Amazing and one of the best with Mr Bruno at costa at Mallard Road. He treated us extremely well, he is very polite, very friendly with us and with our kid, the drinks were super and we really enjoyed our experience today. I would certainly want to come to this branch again. Very appreciated. All the best. You made our day. Thank you very much for treating us so well. Mustafa

Just visited Mallard road Costa toilets were disgusting iced latte wasn't any better weak and tasteless. There were at least five members of staff and not one of them seemed to know what was what.

Very slow service every time staff chatting while you wait to be served

Food is limited but the cakes are nice & drinks are good. Nice atmosphere & friendly, helpful staff.

My son ordered a drink and it never arrived. We checked and it said it had been delivered. We didn’t receive a call to say they had trouble finding the address, so we have no idea where it was delivered to. One very unhappy boy ☹️

Today, 11/06/2024, I was treated badly by an attendant named Reggi. With a pretentious tone, he pointed out to me that you don't enter through the side door, but the main one, even though it's open all the time! I don't feel like calling the customer who he thinks he is!!!!! an employee and his moodiness are probably not his responsibility to address a customer like that! is this his property, (Costa)? then let him take care of clearing the tables and cleaning them because they are dirty and sticky!!!! and above the heads of the staff there is a sheet of metal with old dirt stuck to it and falling onto the counter with coffee!!!! Maybe he should take care of it and ask for a more polite tone because we are the customers, right!!!!

The staff are so lovely and always happy to accommodate any changes, even if a problem arises they try their best to sort it quickly as well as providing amazing customer service, the place itself is very accessible with indoor and outdoor seating

Their service quality varies. I don't like the atmosphere at all. It's always cold because of the aircon that blows cold air to you all the time and the staff could dress more tidy. I don't know what it is that makes me feel so negative about that place, apart from that

Used to come this place when i lived Bournemouth. Visit lovely Sunday again for a cup of coffee

Can't go wrong with coffee sometimes the service is a bit slow but otherwise great.

It's OK, but find this store not so clean as other stores. Also their cups always comes with marks, so I started taking take away cups.

Popped in for a pre shopping coffee. The store was clean and only a few tables needed clearing from dirty plates/cups. The guy who served us was very polite and cheery and was a pleasure to chat to. Drinks were hot and well made and the birthday treat went down well.

My order stated ‘delivered’ 2 hours after my order time and I still did not receive it.

Would give 0 stars if possible. Front door inaccessible, only 2 staff that couldn't cope, dirty tables full of used crockery, very poor food offered, the food offered not very appetising, will never return. Worst part.... the coffee was undrinkable, truly disgusting. Dined in but had to make do with take out paper cups.

Drinks were awesome today. I wanted to phone and say thank you, but the number doesn’t work. Really appreciated the real whipped cream as it makes a difference. I usually get the weird whip stuff even when I ask for cream, so thank you :)

Awful place. Run by children who would sooner be somewhere else. Filth and mess everywhere. Your life drains away waiting for your drink and cannot be bothered to provide Internet.

My Order was missing BLT Sandwich.

Service was fast and the coffee was good. Food is very expensive.

Not a good experience one person serving while one person was filling

Food and coffee arrived very almost cold unfortunately. Courier took ages getting there, so may be more their fault than costa but idk.

I like this Costa. The shopping centre is less busy than Castlepoint over the road. It's quite a big Costa and you can sit and chat without feeling you've got to give up your table to someone else.

The place is always busy ..so you may find at times dirty tables.Also a major minus is that their wi fi is not working ..ofther than that standard Costa.

On the day we visited one toilet was out of order and from where we were sitting 4 people tried to use other toilet using the code on the receipt. All walked away as it showed engaged for all of that time . No staff member helped, something could have been seriously wrong and if no facilities available surely they should have closed.

Driver was very kind and professional but the drinks were poorly packed

Took longer than predicted time and half order was missing!! Rest was cold - such a shame

Out priced itself now with sneaky price raises. Gone to small independent who btw is £1.00 cheaper for same drink. A shame as I liked Costa and some of the staff at my local Kinson outlet.

I visited a few days ago ..the outside resembled a tip ..filthy tables litter that had obviously fallen off the tables scattered around on the floor .the staff are friendly and the coffee good ..but sadly its getting a bad reputation...sort it out Costa

Disappointed with the customer service at this place! The lady serving the drink, dropped my iced tea, instead of starting a new one she just starting re-measuring by eye the ingredients, when I mentioned I wanted a new drink she got upset and just "washed the cup" in the sink to start a new drink in the same cup... Never had any similar experience in any coffee place!

Not the best Costa, the hot chocolate was not hot. Dirty seating area: dirty tables, had to wipe down myself. Food all over the floor. Will avoid in future.

I liked the coffee but not the odd uncleared tables and food under a chair and table. It's not the staffs fault as they are rushed off their feet but surely Costa can afford to have one person clearing tables etc.

Lovely costa, toilets require a code only given AFTER a purchase, hence not totally accessible or disability friendly. So loses stars for lack of inclusivity.

I discovered after ordering, paying for and receiving my coffee that they did not have the Internet, and further more my coffee was not very hot. The Internet issue had been going on since November but i didn't see a notice saying anything so I rushed through my large latte (easy to do as not very hot) and left pronto! Had I gone in with a friend to chat it would have been fine, but as i had specifically chosen the place to do some important work on my laptop I wasn't very happy. I will not be rushing back that is for sure.

This particular Costa Coffee has great memories for me … I took my Dad there several times before his passing, he loved the Coffee in Costa. And now I take my Mum whenever I can. It’s situated next an good sized car park and the accessibility is very good and of course the Coffee is great. I have started drinking Coffee with Oat milk and is tastes great.

Good place to have a peaceful sit and enjoy a coffe

Firts no WIFI , secondly it’s already cold outside 5 degrees , air con it’s on cold not on hot , so clearly take the coffe and go , wouldn’t recommend it , you can’t enjoy your coffe .

Coffee not that hot and air conditioning blowing cold air. Went outside to warm up.

Ordered a mocha and a cappuccino both medium, takeaway. This is now the second time bad coffee has been served to me. Mocha was great, cappuccino however, tasted like a cheap instant branded coffee with a slight burnt taste and it wasn't even a full cup. Needless to say the second fail so won't be returning here. I'v had better Costa from a service station.

Nice coffee and good service - outdoor seating is available but don't expect amazing views as this is based on the edge of a car park within an industrial shopping area! Still, during good weather, it's nice to have a Costa coffee shop that has outdoor seating. There is a single toilet on site with numerical push-lock access only to paying customers (the code to the toilet, which changes occasionally, is given at the bottom of printed receipts).

queue to get served was long and staff were slow to serve meaning the queue didn't go down very fast. apart from that good coffee and food.

Have been coming here for a couple of years now but it is seriously not as good as it once was, the sandwiches are okay but the ones I really liked are no longer being supplied. Also in the last month or two the free WiFi is no longer available and my phone signal is nonexistent, its a shame really the coffee is still nice but not much else.

Wrong items in order, half order missing and the pastry was yesterday's, old and stale! Abysmally bad.

Rancid cesspit, code locked toilet means you have to order to get codex then race the toilet break with coffe being servicd, toilets filthy, no hand dryer working. service area absolutly shockingly filthy, never seen such disregard for basic cleaning, even the coffe machine was revolting. Every table stacked with dirty stuff..... Not sure what's going on here, but looking at other reviews this seems to be the normal here......

I love Costa at Mallard Road Bus Depot, the staff are friendly & give good service especially as they are always busy.

I appreciate delivering drinks isn't easy, but not making sure the lid is in securely is a basic error. A third of the hot chocolate was sloshed around the bag. Then having ordered 2 cake slices we only had the 1 delivered...disappointing.

If I could rate it zero I would. Slow service. Almost every table is sticky and got old drinks on it. To get a table we had to add the drinks to other tables that were already piled with old cups. Three members of staff on. Seems nobody wants to be here. Asked for a cloth to clean our table, she said she would come and do it. 20 minutes later she still had not come over. A real shame as this used to be the best one around

The coffee and food is the same as any Costa....good seats outside with umbrellas for when it's sunny or raining....I would avoid at busy times (after school rush or mid morning on weekends) as it's get far too busy and you have to wait a good 20 mins sometimes more just to get served and then a further wait for your drinks. They're understaffed and sometimes feels like the staff don't want to acknowledge the queues (and sometimes feels they would rather have a chat amongst themselves than actually make the drinks and they seem to struggle with making more than one drink at a time at the coffee station)and the mess soon builds up. Limited high chairs that I would say need a good clean so bring antibacterial wipes with you. Parking is good though.

Enjoyed my cortado, ar least it was hot this time. Still waited forever to get it!!!

Its OK coffee we had was good but it always seems slow here a bit, staff nice enough, it could be a system needs looking at while I was waiting 2 customers had the wrong drink and that slowed the process a little, its ok here just a bit "Meh"

Got a coffee frappe with caramel, it's hit and miss as to how much caramel goes in but it's better than previously

Ordered a frappe with no cream. Comes with cream so the server kerry washed the cream down the sink and topped the cup up with water making it really runny like water and tasteless. The had to get my husband and to go in and sort it out as I'm disabled and was in the car. After that we have had a few other orders made by kerry and they have had items missing ut we weren't informed. Like the mango frappe was missing the bubbles etc

Unisex toilets = RANK. Men's pee everywhere., it's just so, so gross. Why can't we just have women's only toilets, seeing as women don't pee all over the seat? The Mallard Road Costa is usually really lovely - Always a table, nice atmosphere, food is well-presented, and coffee is lovely, though the coffee brewing counter usually looks in a little disarray. I recently (last week) visited in the morning for a break - everything was fine, but gosh, the toilet was DISGUSTING. It obviously hadn't been cleaned in a while as the toilet bowl had build-up under the water line, only possible when not cleaned for days. There was dried bogey on the wall (hurl), the sink hadn't been cleaned in a while as there were old stains, some hair, dust, and general build up on it. The floor was also covered in water stains. Gross, Costa. Not your usual form!

I visited mallard road Costa with a friend who had not been before. The staff were particularly helpful and polite and Seb was particularly accomodations to my extra needs child who was struggling a little at the time. I have found in recent months that this member of staff has been vigilant in delivering excellent customer service. Would definitely recommend service from Seb.

We visited yesterday after driving from Brighton, service was very slow and we were given another customers order!! We sat outside as we had our dog with us and the tables and ground area were disgusting, no tables wiped or floor swept! We done a bit of shopping and as this was the only place for a drink we reluctantly went back this time one member of staff was very rude to my mother in law after giving her the wrong order, he was trying to tell her she had ordered wrongly which she had not, sat outside once again and it hadnt been cleaned from the first time we went in, Wouldnt use this costa coffee again

you are either closed down, have no cream, have no staws or today no frappes or coolers. four times in a row i wasted my lunch brake coming here i give up now as coming here being able to get a drink i actually wanted is a distant memory

Queuing and then being told you need to select from fridge before ordering food not good. Layout of Cafe confusing. Too many tables uncleared of previous customer. Not able to choose small coffee just med or large. A bit expensive, so we won't return. Staff very friendly but rushed off their feet. Needs better management.

Lovely amazing experience, not too busy and can be relaxing to actually enjoy your coffee , Keith has superb excellent customer service and Finn at the till. Keep up the good work team!

Staff seem over worked and its nice to see manager not doing much other than talking down to his staff and belittling them. Won't be going back again. Manager seemed more like a bouncer, been using this Costa for years and won't be going back. Shame as before this staff always seemed happy and we're welcoming, now you can tell they are all working on egg shells and as a customer not the most welcoming feeling.

Lovely customer service and great tasting Frappé. I believe the name of the person working behind the counter was Jacob and he was extremely nice and helpful with picking our order, as well as bringing everything to our table with a smile :)

Went in for a quick iced coffee and a snack spent 10 minutes in the queue whilst 4 staff stood around not really acknowledging anyone else around. Weird.
