Vibey place, hope to return here in the evening some time. Roast lunch was lovely. Good value and great service. What's not to like?

Just had a take away roast delivered lots of lovely fresh veg the roast beef was soft and succulent the gravy was thick and tasted awesome I would highly recommend the four horsemen for a roast I will definitely be eating here again

Great beer, awesome food and very friendly staff.

Called in early evening (7pm) good music playing in the background. A very good option of beers is available with a very helpful barman. Could even taste before you buy. The food menu looked good, worth a try, but it would be wrong to comment as I didn't eat here.

Great, unique place with an abundance of choice of alcoholic beverages and probably some soft drinks too but I didn't try them or the food although I did peruse the menu which looked very tempting but my mate Tad was in a hurry to get to the Anvil!

The Four Horseman is a great little bar for locals and tourists alike, with a unique style and wide range of beers and other drinks. A wide range of genre themed nights like Jazz, Funk, Hip-Hop, Rock, etc. so something for everyone!

Always a pleasure eating here and the beer's pretty good too!

Fantastic pub. The staff were amazing. So friendly and helpful. They seemed to really enjoy their jobs and their friendly attitudes led to a fun vibe in this great pub. Superb selection of ciders, ales and beer. There was karaoke on the night we were there which was great fun.

Walked in here today at 1.30pm. There was a girl rummaging around in a cupboard for her coat she then put her coat on and headphones and stood at the end of the bar and ignored us. We thought it was probably a staff changeover and waited for someone else to appear. After 5 minutes of waiting we walked out. Now enjoying a lovely drink in The Brewhouse and Kitchen over the road where the service is exemplary.

Great independent pub with Izzy particularly helpful at the bar! Lots of drink and cocktail choices, food is retro and filling plus great quiz night's with Andy and karaoke with Lucy Lou and comedy on certain Sundays with Glenn and local talent :)

Ants on the table, dirty glasses and not so nice toilets. However, staff were nice, friendly and pleasant, shame about everything else. Food was good though, except the online menu was obsolete, so I went in expecting that, and was disappointed when it wasn't the same

Great pub quiz (with prizes!) and staff. We had a lovely time for the pub quiz, nice food and the staff are the friendliest and loveliest you could wish for. They have a great selection of drinks - I recommend the pineapple cider, made locally in Dorset. The only thing that let it down was there were a few ants on the walls and our table. If you can get past that, then it is one of the best pubs I have been to in a long time.

If you like miserable bar staff, expensive drinks and the smell of bleach then this will be right up your street. Not very hospitable to say the least.

Didn't have food but a cracking pub definitely if you like your music

We don't go to Bournemouth very often though The Four Horsemen is always a must. We're sure the decor changes slightly each visit but there's always a great selection of ales, including at least 1 stout and a helpful barman.

I’ve been to this pub a few times , love the music and the jam nights but honestly the lager especially the grolsch is poor , I’ve tasted better vinegar…It’s cloudy , smells and tbh would be better on fish n chips…And also I feel if your not a regular the bar staff are unfriendly

Great little venue and intimate atmosphere in the downstairs event room 👌 nice sound system and atmosphere and drink prices are reasonable cheaper than most places and service is friendly through out.

I love this little pub, it has a really good vibe, they host live music down stairs and do really good cocktails!! Not many places like this left anymore!

Interesting place, friendly staff and nice music, however the volume was too high to have a conversation, the place needs a good clean and although we might not be the right age level the food was definitely not 5 stars, it's ok if your hungry and the concept of 3 small portions for £10 is great, but the food is not the reason to come. There are many drinks options and it's really nice place with a lovely atmosphere.

Seemed a decent enough pub with unusual decor, a long line of taps and friendly staff. But rap music, full of F this and F that, was playing on the sound system, so I fled after one pint. Pity. Could have stayed much longer but for that din.

Support your local business. Good beers and cocktails (a list as long as your arm) at a good price. Food is nice too especially the sides and starters. Bar staff are always very chilled and want to help and on a Thursday you can go downstairs and watch some young people mix jungle and DnB for several hours. My fave weird odd pub in Bournemouth. One of a kind

Third year coming to Bournemouth second time in The Four Horseman. Found by accident but glad we did. The staff are awsome and the roast Sunday lunch was amazingly good with fresh veg, yummy 😋 highly recommended 👌

Stopped in for something to eat before going to a show in the evening, and found this place kind of by chance and was drawn in by the vegetarian/Vegan offerings on the menu. The food was pretty good and there was definitely a lot for what you pay. I got the vegan not-dog with chilli and cheese and you could tell the chilli was home-made. It was a shame it was just sliced vegan cheese on the top and not grated as it might have melted better and been easier to hold, but that's literally my only comment! The vibe is cool, really 90s and retro, and the offerings are really wide, and the IPA onion rings were definitely smash hit!

They do an amazing Pina Colada cider. Go here and drink it 🤣

We were staying in Bournemouth for a few days and popped into this pub as they advertised a quiz evening. It was a Tuesday evening and when we walked in the place was buzzing! From the outside, this pub is very small and you don't expect much. However, this pub is quirky and different. Quiz night is obviously popular with the locals and the place was rammed. Staff were really friendly and the D.J. explained the quiz which was played on a tablet which he provided. The D.J. was great and provided a good selection of questions which had to be answered quickly on the tablet to rule out cheating. Great idea! In the breaks, he played a wide variety of great music including Nirvana, which went down well with us! We are in our sixties, but were not made to feel out of place amongst a pub full of young, friendly people. We didn't try the food but the burgers looked good! It was a great evening and if we lived in Bournemouth, we would be visiting this pub every week. This pub is slightly off the beaten track, but only a ten minute walk from the pier. if you want an evening of good fun with a great atmosphere, I would recommend you visit!

Fantastic pub. Great Halloumi wraps. They have a wide range of drinks including craft beers and fruit beers. Crunch from Hammerton was amazing. Fruli was tasty.

Haven't been in since the refurb, and while I wasn't quite sure what to expect I was pleasantly surprised. Great range of cool craft beers on tap, which was a winner for me, and the Sunday karaoke night that we didn't even know was on made for some great entertainment 😁

Has entertainment every night varying from quiz night to live bands , Thursday night changes entertainment on a rotating 4 week cycle, quick service on food and value for money. Atmosphere lifts after 10pm open till 2 am Thursday to Saturday. Well worth a visit.

Good selection of spirits, beers and ciders, good people, good staff, and (usually) good music. Haven't eaten in here yet but the food always looks good, the only gripe I have is that you have to stagger upstairs to use the toilet. Other than that a really good pub.

Food was great, the smokehouse loaded fries were especially good. Delivered hot and on time. Will definitely order again if we’re in the area.

This part of Bournemouth is a bit.... Well not like you expect Bournemouth to be really. As with Moe seaside towns these days has been overrun with people from different backgrounds. But !! The four Horsemen is an absolute pleasure to be in. It's a '90s themed pub with graffiti and different designs everywhere. The choice of beers is incredible. Not for bitter drinkers but the amount of lagers on sale is massive. And I bet you've not heard of half of them. The staff are very relaxed and down to earth. Happily let you try the beers before you decide what you want. Average price considering we're in a seaside town. Sort of place you feel you can just sit and drink beer and not worry about anything. I'm not sure I would bring my elderly mother here but friendly excellent choice of beers and relaxing

Great vibe, great atmosphere, epic decor however the food is so so. Drinks are great....strong for the prices which is always great..they do have a very wide variety of food and alcohol with quirky features to them which is nice to try and experience. Staff and very friendly and helpful even when not impressed with the food which shows pure professionalism. Go four horseman!

Just popped in for a drink, ended up staying for Sunday lunch, best value Sunday Roast we have had in a long time, all home cooked no processed meat and the best home made roasties, will most certainly be back next time we are in Bournemouth

Had such an lovely evening at The Four Horsemen. The burgers were yummy and the barman and staff were absolutely friendly! Great service and so accommodating on letting me taste test 2 or 3 of their great, variety of beers/ciders on tap, especially as a South African, visiting the U.K for my first time - who didn't know any of the brands of which to beer/cider to choose from. Over all an amazing vibe all together. Thanks so much to The Four Horsemen for hosting me and my colleagues!

Place looks like it's been abandoned. It's had absolutely no care taken of it. They are pretending it's a 90s, grunge style kind of bar in the hope that hipsters will actually pay £8.50 for a generic pint and a half in an IKEA cup. In reality it's freezing, really expensive and known locally to be one of the worst bars in Bournemouth. Look at the photos of the men's bathroom I've attached that prove my point. It doesn't look edgy guys, it looks like a public toilet.

We had our work Christmas dinner here. The food was great value, the service was 10/10 and the selection of beers and drinks was most impressive and kept everyone happy!

We came to the Four Horsemen for a Tuesday pub quiz and it was excellent! The quiz is great, the atmosphere gets better and better as the night goes on. We also decided to have food here and the burgers were brilliant. Really well cooked, full of flavour and reasonable in price, especially since the portions are big. Had some of the homemade Twizzlers too which were delicious! Highly recommend this place!

Visited early October and they had some great Oktoberfest beers on draught. Loaded fries were tasty. Cool decor, great food and drinks. Will visit again.

We went for quiz night and that was good fun! Staff were very friendly and could take banter. Large selection of craft beer and other drinks. My partner had a massive burger and delicious onion rings, very reasonably priced. Only thing is the pub is very small so make sure you book in advance. We loved the vibe, we'll be back soon.

Best beer on draft and the food is lush. Had the dirty fries and they were brilliant and didn’t break the bank. Great 90s tunes, good vibes, super beer and lush food!! Keep this one for the locals. Spot on!

Have been to the comedy night a few times now. Has to be the best value night out in Bournemouth. The pub always feels safe and the staff are always welcoming. Two for one cocktails on a Sunday. Up to seven comedy acts with different comedians getting a chance to test out new material. Tickets are just £5.00. I have not tried the food but there are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. If you try this place once you will want to return.

Great selection of beers. Food was lovely too but was either lack of communication or confusion in the kitchen, I ordered the meat croquettes, was informed they had sold out so went for the cheese and onion so that my vegetarian friend could have some too. To find that there was a selection of cheesy ones and most definitely meaty ones too... I just hope he didn't get a meaty one, but he would have been too polite to say if he did but would have made him feel sick just by the taste and thought of it!! Make sure you label your products in the kitchen...luckily this was not an allergy... it could have been much worse. Hence three stars.

I been going to Bournemouth since I was a child so just called in on four horsemen pub in Bournemouth and pleasantly surprised with the warm reception form staff and what you would call a safe pub if your not local. By the posters the pub has live bands though the year .

Great place but could have done with more Air conditioning downstairs
