Variety of ice creams, can be very busy. Expensive for ice cream cones and I understand it's peak season as sales go down after August.

Service is appalling, served a broken cone, handed over the counter and snapped and would refund or replace, and didn't get order right in the first place, hygiene is questionable as well

Bruh, hotdog taste like cardboard, and try the mustard, sandpaper, 5.25 for that is way too much

The worst hotdog of my life. A cold bun with a strange taste and a disgusting sausage. Trash spilling out of the dumpster onto the sidewalk. And on top of that, £7 each. Disgusting.

The staff here were really friendly and the drinks we got were amazing. The lemonade was tasted handmade and was the right mix of sweet and sour taste. The espresso whippy was prefect and was a lovely treat on a warm day but still have a coffee.

Stone cold hot dogs!!!!! Nearly £12 for 2..... the word HOTdog suggests HO T not cold, now have a very dodgy stomach!!! DO NOT EAT THERE HOT FOOD

Took quite a while to get our order through. The coffee was nice but its cheaper in other places close by which if I would of know I would of gone there. The staff was friendly but service was slow.

Stopped here to get a ice cream on the peir didn't really have many flavours of ice cream and price but expensive for one scoop better to get two scoops as then works out £2 a scoop at £4. The ice cream was nice but felt like going to drop it need bigger cups.

Only popped by for a coffee and a tea, served by a very helpful friendly guy. Good prices and tasted lovely just what I needed on a cold windy day. Plenty of other options from the boards and menu. 10/10 cheers

Visited on a busy hot Sunday joined the que and waited about half hour to be served Asked for a chocolate ice cream for my son was told they had none So got him a vanilla and I had the strawberry Second lick I had a long hair in my ice cream Through it in the bin made me feel sick NEVER AGAIN!

Bought ice cream twice this week. The double scoop cones were massive. Excellent value and lovely polite helpful staff. The strawberry ice cream tastes amazing.

After having ordered and paid by contactless, I was informed I had been charged 10p too little. I asked my wife if she had 10p cash and I handed over a 20p piece, after a few moments I was told they couldn't accept the cash and I would have to pay with my card, I said that I couldn't believe they were charging me for there mistake, anyway I payed with my card and then it was declined by my Bank. I am told this is quite normal as criminals will often try a small transaction to see if a cloned card will work, I tried my card again and entered the pin and it declined again. I said to the woman serving that it was declined because it was "such a pissy amount", this offended her and she asked me not to swear, (I didn't think I had), I then got another card that she asked if I would insert the card, I said "I'll insert is somewhere in a minute" to that she said I should not make threats to her, (I didn't think I had) well the transaction for 10p went though and I said I hope you choke on it. I got my coffee, that by this time was nearly cold. I really wish I had just asked for a refund and cancelled the order. The staff were incompetent and rude and I will never go to this coffee shop again.

Shambles of a cafe £2.80 for a Carmel latte 2 sips and it was gone. Apparently when asked this was the right size cup???? Avoid if you can

2 young servers on a Wednesday visit could do with a bit of cheering up when serving near melting ice cream at 4£ plus. Personally I would have walked away and tried the many ice cream shacks in the gardens further up, had I have ordered.

We went here to get lunch with a hungry toddler at 11:30am on a Saturday morning. It wasn't that busy, barely even a quarter of tables occupied, and so we joined the queue expecting a short wait to be served. 30 minutes later, we'd barely made it in the door with 4 people still queuing in front of us. The 3 members of staff serving had only served 2 customers in this time, one being a woman who took 20 minutes to be given 2 cups of coffee and a cake, and the second a young couple with a baby who, when ordering food, were told it would be at least a 50 minute wait. An absolute joke. It's the middle of August, the beach is packed and it's lunch time yet the staff here are happy to stand and chat instead of serving customers and take a ridiculous amount of time to make a simple drink. We ended up getting chips from the van just around the corner as after 45 minutes queuing with a hungry toddler, we still were no closer to actually getting served. Don't waste your time here, go somewhere else.

After a lovely walk with my family to Boscombe Pier and back we all wanted coffees & ice creams however it wasn't going to be from this place, after standing a while waiting for the girl to acknowledge us i started by saying HELLO this was ignored by this very rude girl, i asked what the prices of the cones were but never got a reply back so i asked the price of the cups she pointed to the two sizes but still no prices then it was a MIRACLE she spoke "Large or Small" with a tone only described as I don't want to be here, at this point still not knowing how much the ice creams were we decided to tell here how rude she was & walked away. i can only say its in a great location with the most rude staff you can find in such a lovey area & looking a previous reviews it seems that this has never been addressed. To the owner you will eventually pay the price if your staff know how much that is...

Estando justo en la playa hay una gran vista. La comida y el café tienen un precio razonable y el servicio fue excelente. Fácil acceso, así como comedor arriba. Parking cercano en parking público. Puede estar ocupado durante las vacaciones.

Came down here from the international centre for lunch had a very nice coffee and a very nice sandwich unfortunately it was pre packed but still very nice. The staff were very friendly and efficeint, although they were busy. will hope to visit again.thank you

This review applies to the Coffee Reef in the same building as the pier amusements as I couldn't find where to leave a review. Frankly I was a little disappointed: Ice cream available for purchase with no labels to indicate what each flavour was, wasn't sure what I wanted so I asked the girl behind the counter what the flavours were and she responded with a blunt "well have a look then". Was shocked and went with what I overheard the previous customer order: Salted Caramel. One scoop for £2.60? £2.50? Seriously wow, sure it tasted nice but can you really justify that much for a single scoop of ice cream? Two bottled drinks and two single scoops for nearly £10?! I'm sorry but I get that captive audience where the nearest Tesco or supermarket is 10 minutes away but still, extortion.

We needed a coffee break during the marathon. It was very busy, queues outside the door but the service was speedy and efficient and the coffee was very good quality.

Stopped here for coffee for the two grandmothers and cake for the grandsons. The coffee was lovely, no complaints about the cakes and a fair price. Good for people watching too!! Staff were friendly and polite.

Lady at the till us very rude to her customers snatching the money and throwing your change back at you then shouting to wait over there for your coffees. Coffees were just warm. Other 2 staff members were more polite. Other places in Bournemouth much better to have a coffee in will not go back and I'm a local.

This is a pleasant enough cafe in a wonderful location by the pier. In good weather I sat outside, drank my espresso and watched the world go by. GREAT

A nice little cafe situated on the land side of the pier that serves good coffee, lovely cakes and allows some serious people watching. Take a break and enjoy some down time.

Stopped here for a quick refresher during a long walk. Took ages to get served, but it was a busy bank holiday. Nothing special.

Thought buying a coffee would be easy. It took 10 minutes. The fact I had paid for it, I would have walked away. Personally I was not impressed with the coffee either but is down to personal taste.

We picked up lunch from the cafe, panini/hot chocolate and the tiramisu shortbread were all really good. Nice staff too.

Called in for an ice cream after having a trip to the oceonarium! Was nice and not too badly priced I didn't think! Proper sugar waffle cones too not the flaky plastic type ones lol!

Great little shop for snacks, Only a couple of seconds off the beach so you can go barefooted! Lovely hot drinks x

I live in Bournemouth, so this place was my last resort to buy a bottle of water at 8pm whilst I was on the beach - obviously it was overpriced but I'd expected that. But the guy behind the till was drumming his fingers waiting for me to find the change (no-one else was in the shop, it wasn't busy) - I gave him the money and then waited for my change in return to which he closed the till and stared at me. "What?" he said, "You haven't given me my change" I replied, "Oh." he said, and bumbled around as if he really didn't want to reopen the till to rectify his mistake. "Don't worry about it, sorry." - I mumbled and walked off, it was only 10p but it was the principle of being short-changed that annoyed me. But I was very British about it and didn't want to cause a scene.

Here's a place to have a nice bit of lunch and cold beer and watch the world go by , this bar is right on the beach perfect location

pretty dreadful . Dog walking on windy cold day and stopped for hot chocolate. Poor surly service and hot chocolate not made fresh , just out of machine producing sweet sickly goo. Staff not happy and didn't want to know. This is in prime position and could have done great trade to locals. Won't be back

Good athmosphere, friendly staff, great cocktails, good menu, fantastic view over the sea and generally very welcoming!

We enjoyed a nice enough coffee and cake here with decent service. A quiet day due to damp, overcast weather and it was pleasant to sit down after walking around the seafront area.

I had a milkshake and my partner had a mocca and I must say the milkshake was spot on what I needed overly and refreshing while soaking up the sun

Food order has taken 45 minutes to partially arrive for two sandwiches. Very poor service but once it was here was ok. We won't be coming back here again.

It was good to have coffee whilst the boys were doing activities. Service and staff were only OK, quality OK as well. Not as good as the other "Reef" restaurants and cafe's.

Zero customer service and organisation. The milk shakes are disgusting and disappointing. Tasted like cold water with chocolate powder in it. Ice cream overpriced and served by staff that obviously don't know how to put it on a cone, so was given a plastic dish to put it in. All round disappointing for something so easy to do.
