Very relaxing place for afternoon teas and coffee. There was a great selection and very helpful and welcoming male server (possible owner maybe?) either way, an overall loverly place to catch up with friends.

Lornetta was amazing, excellent service and really friendly. Personal note on the receipt was a nice touch!

We ordered some fish and chips for our wedding reception and we couldn't have asked for a better place to place our order with. From the start the team were so helpful. But they made our day so so special due to their friendliness and kindness, for that me and my now husband are so grateful. My husband and myself were visiting bath for the Christmas market and were delighted we were going to be in Bath on the same day as old friends we hadn't seen for a few years due to covid and geography. We chose the grumpy baker due to reviews and were not disappointed. We were there for a good few hours and with cases as we were flying home straight after the lunch. No one objected or said we were in the way. We had coffee, toasted Panini's, then tea and delicious cakes. We had not met the children before and basically had a wonderful time in what felt like our living room. The café was busy, pleasant ,welcoming and the staff were always smiling and helpful. I can see why so many families go there. Clean and with lovely food reasonably priced. If I lived in Bath I would be a regular visitor. Merry Xmas to the very happy staff at the Grumpy Baker.

First time order for breakfast delivery and the food was top notch. Fresh and tasty, will definitely be enjoying more of the menu soon!

Aunque no somos veganos, si tenemos más experiencias 5 * comiendo deliciosa comida vegana, ¡podríamos hacer el cambio! No ser recibido al entrar / ly acercarse al mostrador - 1. Todo estaba como debía.

Had some really good noodle soup here. Reminded me of lots of small restaurants in East Asia which is a rare treat for me. Not fancy, but casual and friendly. Basic cafe in family front room vibe and good prices. They make their own pork gyoza/dumplings and noodles. Maybe not the highest quality but, hey, home cooking, not just frozen/packet. Highly recommended for food and value though be aware that they seem to not always open at 11am like the sign on the door says.

A place filled with Nostalgia of my youth, where I'd sit with my friends after school, eat cheesy garlic bread, and hide from our neglectful parents where none of us wanted to go home. Ah, memories.

Beautiful burgers! Very tasty. Had as a takeaway, would highly recommend! Also the waffle fries were a delight.

1st time, came in for a breakfast, ordered drink and food at the bar, drink and cutlery arrived quickly, both mine and partners cutlery had to be replace as they had dried on baked beans which wasn't a nice sight. The coffee wasnt too bad. Food arrived swifty after, and it looked enormous. Unfortunately we ordered white toast but we both received brown, not a problem though just abit annoyed, the eggs seemed half cooked with that clear gooey substance across the toast which really put us off. The bacon wasn't cooked enough for me either, the fat had no colour to it at all. The fried tomatoes had italian herbs sprinked over which didn't work for me in a full English might be nice with a pasta dish maybe, but not a breakfast. The mushrooms had the same treatment but were stone cold. Sausage I think were just about cooked, Lincolnshire sausage nort being my first choice for a breakfast. Hash browns were fine and baked beans were fine. Not usually keen on black pudding but I usually do eat it, except this one, yuk. Not the best service, we watched a waitress patting a dog I hope she washed her hands after! other dogs in there some barking ofte, and being walked through the tight gaps between the tables. The chairs and table being a mish mash and so not being able to pull the chairs under as they didn't fit wasn't good. The table needed a good hoovering off between the joints as they looked filled with dirt and grime. No parking. I will most definitely not be visiting this place again very disappointing experience.

I get leaflets all the time and never buy takeaways I expect them to be a cold and soggy disappointment after a long wait. This was my first delivery from anyone. Firstly the delivery person greeted me warmly with a big smile - pretty sure that made the food taste nice, well it definitely cheered me up and make me feel happier. Next the food was actually hot and tasted good. We are enjoying our no fuss feast. Pass my thanks to the Oldfield park team.

I think the first time I ever ordered from Cheong Sing was probably about sixteen years ago. And it was great then, they understood special requests like no egg in the fried rice, they knew not to give you free prawn crackers if you ordered an entirely vegan meal. The portions have always been generous and good value for money. I ordered again for the first time in a while tonight, and wow. It's only got better. The menu now includes more dishes, the portions were still generous. And flipping heck the food was incredible. Definitely my favourite Chinese in Bath.
