Unfortunately the pork was extremely chewy and there wasn’t enough fruit or vegetables in the Hong Kong dish. Granted there was plenty of pork.

Best takeaway, fast delivery and really good food

First time ordering from this restaurant and we were incredibly happy with everything! We ordered Set meal E for five of us, despite it saying for 4 people the size of the portions could easily have fed 5/6 people max we still had a lot of food left. Food portions were amazing, arrived hot and amazing value for money. Will definitely be using this takeaway for more birthdays, cheeky midweek meals and events to come! 10/10!

We tried to order a takeaway for delivery, on website it says it will deliver within 5 miles and accepted our order and additional charge for over 3 miles. However we had a phone call saying they won't deliver further than 3 miles (we're 3.6 miles away). Bit of a waste of time really, won't try and order from here again!

best Chinese delivery I've had in bath in years

Ordered food two hours ago, still not arrived, called the place and was told it's left and will be ten minutes, it's now been 25 minutes and the place has closed.

Food was perfect, portions are great and came piping hot. Overall 5 out of 5

You got this order wrong. Was around 10pm by the time we received this order which wouldn’t be a problem if the order was correct. Instead of giving us Singapore fried rice we got rice noodles which we didn’t like and didn’t eat. Very disappointing, won’t be ordering again. No point in complaining last night because as I say it was already 10pm at the time

Pretty good nosh I felt there wasn’t much meat on the spare ribs and they were slightly over cooked, however the rest of what I ordered was of good quality and there were a nice amount of prawns in the prawn curry. Though I did feel that £3 for a fairly small bag of prawn crackers was a bit steep.

Food was hot. Delivery longer than advertised but then within scheduled time shown. Won ton soup was ok (filling a bit bland), salt and pepper ribs were really good, pork fried rice I’m afraid was bland and fairly tasteless. Overall “ok”.

Usually the service is good but tonight we’ve waited over 2 hours with calling multiple times to be told the order has left when it clearly hasn’t.

We ordered a takeaway, after 2hrs with no updates, received an update saying the order was cancelled. Shockingly bad service, we’ve ordered from here several times before but never again. Stay well away!

I have been a customer of this takeaway for 5 years and always had good food and service. But I think the owner and the chef has changed because tonight the food was terrible and when I called them to complain, they didn’t want to listen. Firstly I had problems ordering on line, so I called it in to pick up, when my son picked up the food they short changed him by few pounds, but when I opened the food found the rice old and dry, not edible and the food that was large before was in smaller containers! They said that they have a new menu and prices has gone up, but not according to their website! I won’t get food from them again because the quality & quantity has gone down and prices has gone up again! Not very happy to loose a good food take away, shame.

I think the first time I ever ordered from Cheong Sing was probably about sixteen years ago. And it was great then, they understood special requests like no egg in the fried rice, they knew not to give you free prawn crackers if you ordered an entirely vegan meal. The portions have always been generous and good value for money. I ordered again for the first time in a while tonight, and wow. It's only got better. The menu now includes more dishes, the portions were still generous. And flipping heck the food was incredible. Definitely my favourite Chinese in Bath.

This food was awful, rice overcooked and tasted of old fat, the chicken & prawn balls burnt and dripping of grease. None of the meal was edible, complete waste of money we threw it all away! Will not be ordering from here again when this was our go to Chinese.

The delivery usually takes over an hour to get to us even tho we live close by but today was ridiculous, we placed our order at 5pm and it didn’t get to us until 20:20pm. Over 4 hours. Outrageous , every half hour we called they would say it’s going to be 15mins We’re now going to go elsewhere for our delivery as there’s no excuse for this. Shame as we all love there food

the broccoli with garlic tasted awful in comparison to usual, and I found an uncooked king prawn in my Thai fried rice. wasn't the usual chef in I don't think, as usually it's all superb. maybe a fluke 🤷🏻‍♂️

ordered at 6:30, phoned at 8 told 15-20mins turnt up at 8:30. kept being told they were busy.... close the orders, catch up first don't leave customers waiting! rice came hard and crunchy , chips were soggy... very disappointed this was our go to takeaway!

Was missing a chow mein and bbq pork fried rice so about 14poound worth of food missing.

We ordered from here for the first time last night, better than any other chinese in Bath. I get ribs from every single chinese I've ever been to and these were hands down, the best ribs I've ever had from anywhere, they were honestly beautiful, the portion sizes were very generous, the food was lovely and hot. Chinese is definitely one of the more expensive takeaways now a days, so it's great to have finally found somewhere that's worth every penny! We can't wait to order from here again!

Ignore comments about delivery times just because it doesn’t show up in 5 minutes and you cant track like we are so accustomed to. Classic Chinese take out with an amazing selection and best chow mien youll have in a long time. You won’t regret it.

The delivery person tried to open the door the wrong way and it got stuck on the latch. I had to call maintenance for help. For a short while nobody could exit or enter the building (and my food got cold)

I had the special udon noodles from here, and it was great! Perfect amount of sauce, and the right amount of veg to give it balance. The price was very reasonable too. If I were to be picky, I would say that the pork could have been a little more tender, but otherwise, no complaints.

Good food, but very annoying that update status went from 'we've received order' to 'delivered', with no change in ETA and no food in sight until a while after food marked 'delivered'.

Super Soggy and spicy chips, watery crispy beef, the veggie spring rolls were chewy. Unfortunately we had high hopes for this place but it was a massive let down. Won’t be ordering again.

Incredible food, the salt and pepper chicken is to die for! 100% best Chinese in Bath, highly highly recommend. The guy who answers the phone is always polite, you can tell the chefs care about the food and the delivery drivers are friendly and always polite. No need to look elsewhere for Chinese.

This is the most delicious Chinese takeaway I’ve found in Bath. Food was delivered late but there’s no other place that does it better. Hot and sour soup and the capitol spare ribs are my favourite!

Yes we can wait a bit of time on a weekend night but we never mind and understand that they are busy and are happy they are, but however long the wait the food always turns up at the same high quality. Steaming hot and delicious. Depending on what you spend complimentary prawn crackers and spring rolls. Delicious!

Absolutely appalling. The food came and smelt terrible. I paid £20 for some dishes which were poorly made and priced. The spring rolls were just filled with bean sprouts and what seemed to be mushrooms, the won ton soup had two single dumplings in and had a foul smell, and my dumplings were incredibly greasy, soggy and wet (website had no item descriptions for any item). When I explained my concerns I was not offered any compensation, replacement or refund. Very upset. Do not order from here.
