Great food, lovely staff who called me up to check my allergies

We ordered a takeaway, after 2hrs with no updates, received an update saying the order was cancelled. Shockingly bad service, we’ve ordered from here several times before but never again. Stay well away!

Always great quality food with great portion sizes. Love the bonus free spring rolls too! Delivered at the very end of the estimated delivery window but not too bad. Our new regular Chinese!

Incredible food. I've been ordering from Cheong Sing for over a decade but this was better than ever.

I think the first time I ever ordered from Cheong Sing was probably about sixteen years ago. And it was great then, they understood special requests like no egg in the fried rice, they knew not to give you free prawn crackers if you ordered an entirely vegan meal. The portions have always been generous and good value for money. I ordered again for the first time in a while tonight, and wow. It's only got better. The menu now includes more dishes, the portions were still generous. And flipping heck the food was incredible. Definitely my favourite Chinese in Bath.

Food came late. 1 hour and 30 mins

A dsgusting, nasty, tasteless (except for the taste of burnt oil) mess.

This food was awful, rice overcooked and tasted of old fat, the chicken & prawn balls burnt and dripping of grease. None of the meal was edible, complete waste of money we threw it all away! Will not be ordering from here again when this was our go to Chinese.

The delivery usually takes over an hour to get to us even tho we live close by but today was ridiculous, we placed our order at 5pm and it didn’t get to us until 20:20pm. Over 4 hours. Outrageous , every half hour we called they would say it’s going to be 15mins We’re now going to go elsewhere for our delivery as there’s no excuse for this. Shame as we all love there food

the broccoli with garlic tasted awful in comparison to usual, and I found an uncooked king prawn in my Thai fried rice. wasn't the usual chef in I don't think, as usually it's all superb. maybe a fluke 🤷🏻‍♂️

Absolutely fantastic. Massive portions and flavours were tantalising my taste buds. Got free spring rolls and an extra bag of prawn crackers. Will be back imminently. Thankyou.

Food took nearly 2 hours to come, when it did it our whole order was cold. The chips were cold and soggy. Gave to the dog

ordered at 6:30, phoned at 8 told 15-20mins turnt up at 8:30. kept being told they were busy.... close the orders, catch up first don't leave customers waiting! rice came hard and crunchy , chips were soggy... very disappointed this was our go to takeaway!

Rice and crispy beef weren’t up to the usual standard, soggy rice and concrete beef, but the rest of the dishes were great.

Was missing a chow mein and bbq pork fried rice so about 14poound worth of food missing.

We ordered from here for the first time last night, better than any other chinese in Bath. I get ribs from every single chinese I've ever been to and these were hands down, the best ribs I've ever had from anywhere, they were honestly beautiful, the portion sizes were very generous, the food was lovely and hot. Chinese is definitely one of the more expensive takeaways now a days, so it's great to have finally found somewhere that's worth every penny! We can't wait to order from here again!

Ignore comments about delivery times just because it doesn’t show up in 5 minutes and you cant track like we are so accustomed to. Classic Chinese take out with an amazing selection and best chow mien youll have in a long time. You won’t regret it.

The delivery person tried to open the door the wrong way and it got stuck on the latch. I had to call maintenance for help. For a short while nobody could exit or enter the building (and my food got cold)

I had the special udon noodles from here, and it was great! Perfect amount of sauce, and the right amount of veg to give it balance. The price was very reasonable too. If I were to be picky, I would say that the pork could have been a little more tender, but otherwise, no complaints.

Paid 20£ for soggy and cold chips , egg friend rice and Luke warm chicken balls and had to wait over an hour and 45 mins absolutely disgusting

Good food, but very annoying that update status went from 'we've received order' to 'delivered', with no change in ETA and no food in sight until a while after food marked 'delivered'.

Food was good but the experience was tainted by the 2 hour wait time, please update the app to keep your customers in the loop or provide realistic wait time.

Super Soggy and spicy chips, watery crispy beef, the veggie spring rolls were chewy. Unfortunately we had high hopes for this place but it was a massive let down. Won’t be ordering again.

Incredible food, the salt and pepper chicken is to die for! 100% best Chinese in Bath, highly highly recommend. The guy who answers the phone is always polite, you can tell the chefs care about the food and the delivery drivers are friendly and always polite. No need to look elsewhere for Chinese.

This is the most delicious Chinese takeaway I’ve found in Bath. Food was delivered late but there’s no other place that does it better. Hot and sour soup and the capitol spare ribs are my favourite!

from the time I ordered it took one hour and twenty five minutes. this is much too long. estimated time one hour to one hour twenty minutes so I was waiting all the time after one hour and had to wait for another twenty five minutes.

Our go to takeaway in Bath. Couldn’t recommend enough. Yes we can wait a bit of time on a weekend night but we never mind and understand that they are busy and are happy they are, but however long the wait the food always turns up at the same high quality. Steaming hot and delicious. Depending on what you spend complimentary prawn crackers and spring rolls. Delicious!

Absolutely appalling. The food came and smelt terrible. I paid £20 for some dishes which were poorly made and priced. The spring rolls were just filled with bean sprouts and what seemed to be mushrooms, the won ton soup had two single dumplings in and had a foul smell, and my dumplings were incredibly greasy, soggy and wet (website had no item descriptions for any item). When I explained my concerns I was not offered any compensation, replacement or refund. Very upset. Do not order from here.

Cheap Chinese with an extensive menu. Cheap and cheerful, and quick service. Food is average but great value for what you pay for it. Cash only.

Order took three hours to arrive. Each time I called they kept saying 20 minutes, 30 minutes etc. food then turned up and was part cold, bland and a complete let down. Avoid.

I wanted to write a fair review here because I visited this Chinese a few weeks back and had my dog with me. I asked “do you allow dogs in the front?” - I was told that they did and I ordered my food and then left. Today I went back and was told that the dog wasn’t allowed in. My issue with this is that if they can be flexible with the rules then they can be flexible with their food hygiene practices.

A bit of a wait but when it arrived it was delicious. Tasted fresh and good portions. Definitely worth the wait!

Such a shame. Waited over 2 hrs for delivery last night. Regular customers but not any longer now. 1 hr after ordering we rang up to be told 'were very busy, will start cooking it now'. 40 minutes after rang again to be told 'it's on its way'. 30 minutes after that a car pulled up outside and sat there for 5 minutes smoking or on the phone before ambling to the door and delivering the food. Food was cold.

They were a bit late but as it was a Saturday night on Easter weekend it was expected. The food was amazing when it came. Amazing value for money! and will be buying from them again

Cheng Sing has always been my go to for Chinese takeaway in Bath. Never let me down. Always either on time or early. Tasty and hot food every single time...

Love the food from here, but timing isn’t great. It’s a good place if you’re picking up your food, but you will have a long delivery time.

Always a good call and our go-to Chinese place. If anyone’s complaining about the delivery time, it’s because the food is cooked fresh and to order, not kept under a heat lamp and sent when you want it like maccas- have real expectations for real food.
