Not been here for a few years so glad we went for my sisters birthday. She had the steak served on a hot stone which you cook at your table, it was really good. All other meals were also very good. Also reasonably priced compared to other Italians in the area. Highly recommend!

The Farmhouse Inn was recommended by some friends .... What can I say...service super friendly and knowledgeable Food is absolutely first class. Wouldn't be out of place in a top London restaurant Stilton mushrooms to start, very very good Sea bass and shrimp on a bed of samphire + mixed veg - exceptional. Can't recommend enough

Lovely festive breakfast. We were so well looked after it was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was fresh and beautifully cooked. The decoration is amazing and although busy was well organised. I have low immunity and we were placed in a corner table and felt really safe. We loved it all. Thank you very much.

By luck we chose this restaurant for lunch and loved it so much went again the following evening. Smiths is a charming restaurant full of character, with a number of low-ceiling rooms. We had the” scotchy burger” both times and it was absolutely sensational. Cooked to perfection, full of flavour and quite possibly the best burger I (and my wife) have ever had or could remember having (and I’ve had a few!). The cajun fries were also perfectly cooked and added a spicy side to a (moderately) spicy burger and we left wishing this place wasn’t 2 hours away! The staff were friendly , especially the young blonde lady who was so welcoming and accommodating to us and also made the delicious chocolate mousse special that we had for desert. Definitely advisable to pre-book, this place gets very busy, and deservedly so.

First time visit and we were very pleased with our choice, because there are a LOT of Indian restaurants in the immediately area. The reviews and Scores On The Door of 5 is a huge plus for me. It was the Saturday night of the recent storm and it was lovely and warm inside. We had the Trio of Breads, PaneerSaagwala and one of the Lamb Chefs Specials and they made it hotter for me. Their selection of dips that accompanied the poppadoms were very tasty and the wine choice was very good. I would happily recommend this restaurant based on our visit only. It was a 15 minute walk from The Grand Atlantic Hotel where we were staying. Parking near the restaurant would be difficult based on the cars we saw outside of the restaurant.

Bloody brilliant. Food and ambience superb. Service with a smile. Superb plaice and monkfish Thai curry. The desserts are all made by the chef. We had a pavlova but look forward to coming back for the chocolate torte. Very underrated restaurant of the highest echelon.

I would highly recommend the Sunday carvary, food served lovely and hot and vegetables cooked to perfection, all fresh. We have just spent the last few hours enjoying one of the best roast dinners. The service was excellent and the staff were really nice helpful.

I wont go anywhere else for take-away food except Polash. I have NEVER had a poor meal, let alone a bad one, in at least the last 7 years i have been using them. I have only eaten in the restaurant a couple of times with family celebrations and again the food is always excellent. You will see some negative reviews about the curries not being "authentic" or "not a proper Madras", please just ignore them. The same "curry" made in different regions will have different flavours and consistencies and at the end of the day, who cares what it should or should not be called, if it tastes good then what more is needed! Well done all the guys at Polash, definitely the best there is!!

Dinner at The Masons Arms was absolutely amazing. I had the chorizo bites to start followed by fish and chips with mushy peas. The fish was battered in gem ale which brought out the flavour of the fish, it tasted delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We will definitely be returning customers.

My favourite place for breakfast after a sunny, bracing walk from St Davids along the coastline. Service was spot on and food was delicious. On way out, grabbed a brownie to go. The chef had just made marmalade and asked if I'd like some to go with. Lovely! Warmed the brownie and marmalade that evening and good god now I no longer want to eat anything else. Heavenly.

Ok booked here for an anniversary meal. On entrance no greeting from boy staff. Never asked for our reservation and just sat us down. The place was empty with droll music playing from the 1920’s unfortunately unless I was in my 90s I already hated it. The waiters who were very young and experience were nice enough but needed an older head to guide them. Ordered a flat glass of champagne £18 per glass how they can justify that I don’t know. Looked at the menu but was put off by the whole atmosphere so left after a glass of fizz. Can’t comment on the food unfortunately but if its as uninspiring as the restaurant we’ve dodged a bullet. Maybe need to look at a few other places in the area to see how service is done. Very poor I’m afraid. Would not return!

We were staying a couple of miles away from The Mason Arms and had read really good reviews about it, so i booked up for my husband's birthday. Like other reviews on here we were not disappointed, the staff were lovely and our food was excellent just wish I could cook like this! Thank you so much for getting us in on short notice and giving my husband a lovely birthday lunch.

We found this pub via the Camra website and were not disappointed. The front of the pub was a bit crowded but the kind barlady opened up a separate room down some steps to the right of the bar and put the lights on especially for us. This back room was comfortable and tastefully decorated with interesting paintings and flags. The pub is quiet, warm and friendly, well off the beaten track (Looe can get a bit crowded with tourists), and the drinks reasonably priced. When I asked for a diet coke the kind lady asked if I wanted a pint or half pint - not something I always get asked in a pub. We will certainly make a point of visiting the Fisherman's Arms the next time we are in Looe.
