A very good dog friendly pub with rooms. Rooms clean, food brilliant, friendly staff and dogs allowed everywhere. Only thing that could be improved is the guest entrance to the hotel, very tired and need of updating. Otherwise a brilliant stay!

As locals we visited recently and have to say we were disappointed. The portion sizes are smaller than previous visits and my fish was uncooked and cold. Such a shame. We did mention it at the time and we were offered another meal or a dessert on the house (which I accepted) however, as my son was paying for the meal as a birthday treat I didn’t want to make a fuss. The food is very expensive however the drink prices are extortionate. £2:50 for a dash of coke. Come on! The service is excellent as per usual. I’m hoping this was a ‘one off’ & will visit again but there are other excellent fish restaurants in Weymouth that offer excellent quality too.

Myself and 2 dogs. Ordered waited for coffee to be made before money taken. All plonked on a tray! No offer of help with my order bearing in mind I had 2 dogs, negotiate a tray and a door!! Food arrived quickly. Bacon overcooked and coffee scalding hot. Unfriendly, unhelpful staff

My wife and I were looking for a restaurant for our evening meal. We tried the Rose Tree - it was busy and we had no reservation but the staff moved a few tables around and were able to fit us in. The place was very busy, but very friendly and cosy, the food was excellent and we had a really good evening.

First time here and have to say the food was first class. I’ll go as far to say this was probably my best fillet steak I have ever had. Lovely cosy old building down a side street steeped in history. So glad we chose to eat here. Bravo

Two meals were lovely, however the third was steak which was very chewy.

I kinda feel bad dropping a 4 and not a 5 but I think the duck dish needs slightly tweaking. I was very happy with my scallops and the fish sauce marinate but overall not spicy which I do associate with Thai cuisine.

Not bad Thai food. Children are forbidden which is strange at a seaside family spot like this. was turned away with my family but came back another day and tried some food. Soup was nice. Ribs were ok but were cold in places, so evidently "reheated" with a warmed sauce on pre-cooked meat. Tasted ok but nothing special

After a disappointing experience a few weeks before, myself and my husband decided to try again (our first visit was just after the refurb). Firstly - it looks fab in there. It has a lovely feel and the staff were all really lovely and welcoming. The food was great - came out hot and tasted great! Our waitress Leah W was also fantastic! Incredible customer service - super friendly and helpful and it was nice that she was happy to chat and answer our random questions! A great experience and we will be back!

Food came quite quickly and was fairly nice, mostly. Price is absolutely insane and they add a big tip for themselves on the bill and put it's "optional' in tiny text next to it. The place is kept alive by tourists and hipsters and it really shows. If you think you deserve a 10 pound tip for 40 minutes of very ordinary service move to the USA. Won't be coming back.

Been today for an early Christmas family get together and the had the festive menu. It was all really great. Lovely starters and the main meals were accompanied with so may veggies / roasties / Yorkshire pudding. A really proper spread. Great service and all at a very affordable price.
