Lovely apartment and exactly where we needed to be for the rugby game. Very clean, modern and has all the utilities you need. I will definitely book again.
We held our daughters baby shower for 25 people here at the weekend, Alex put on a superb buffet and drinks (non and alcoholic). So helpful in letting us set up the room beforehand with a balloon arch and arranging a few tables. Everyone commented on what a lovely venue and how nice and friendly the staff were looking after us all afternoon. Alex and his teams award winning cocktails are a must to try,
Disappointing stay
We stayed in Room Eight & we booked a double room.
The room was basement level and was tiny with low ceilings, smelled heavily of chemicals and later mold.
We had to keep the windows open but unfortunately the one small window opened out onto a busy road. The road was meters away from the window and the cars go fast, so it was really noisy day and time
The bath was narrow and not full length and weirdly sticky.
Really disappointed with our stay as we'd read such lovely reviews and the pictures (which are of different rooms to ours) looked so nice .
Called in and made very welcome, and must say my cream tea and a extra slice of home made cake was beautiful top place big shame forced out of the old quarry, was such a beautiful surroundings and peaceful
Met family for dinner here it was very busy but the food when it arrived was excellent although a bit slow on this occasion staff were attentive and doing their job under some pressure nice atmosphere and warm clean and very comfortable tables well spaced and Covid measures in place everywhere.
Despite being a regular visitor to Lydney, this was our first visit. But it definitely won't be our last. Everything was spot on! The food, service and value for money were excellent. Friendly staff were so helpful and really sweet, especially to our grandchildren. Thank you.
This place is fantastic, especially the lovely chef called Dave who also happens to be a mayor who's worked with Gordon Ramsay before!!!!! Wow!!!! Lovely food, SOOOOOOOOOOOO hygienic. Beautiful magical atmosphere. ✨
Called in on a Thursday evening.
Was really pleased, nice lay out.
Great selection of drinks.
Menu was a traditional Pub Grub, all the favourites that we like.
I went for Garlic mushrooms to start, nice.
Gammon for main, very tasty, and a proper man size portion, very filling.
Side Salad was fresh and crisp
Had an amazing takeaway on Saturday 24th. Ordered for 730pm and went for a drink before collecting and ready when we arrived. Lovely and hot, good quality food, staff always welcoming and friendly
