A fab place for lunch with a really good menu. Lots to choose from but also the options are simple and not pretentious like a lot of places in Bedminster atm. Really well priced, freshly made and absolutely wonderful staff. We go every week after our pilates class with the baby buggys and always feel welcomed and well looked after. I'd highly recommend a visit for a light chilled lunch.

Had a lovely Sunday roast with my bf and we were both really impressed with the food. Lovely roasties, perfect gravy, good choice of veg and meats and a lovely yorkshire. As a new enterprise I'm sure it'll get even better - so will defo be back! Great work.

Really disappointing experience. Had been before for a sandwich and enjoyed it, thought I'd give them a try for brunch. My partner ordered the goat curry, she found it a bit bland, but passable, although it came without the vegetables listed on the menu (just peas, but still, don't list if it isn't included). My food was the real problem. I ordered eggs royale, and was brought eggs and salmon on multigrain toast without the listed hollandaise or chives. Like, how you have an item on your menu you don't even know how to prepare is so beyond me. Sent it back for the proper topping, but eggs royale on soggy multigrain is just such a putrid texture. I gave up after a few bites, it was just really weird. Server noticed and asked, I told her it was just really weird to have benedict on toast, as opposed to English muffin or rusk. She said that's how they always serve it, and told me it was a "cultural difference" between England and America (we're Canadian). I said it wasn't really a necessary conversation, as I was fine being charged. I don't really see the point in arguing with a customer, and frankly, if you don't even know to put the hollandaise on, you lose a lot of credibility when it comes to debating what defines a dish. When I paid the bill the server was really unpleasant, no thank you or goodbye, just a really unacceptable rudeness considering I'd not quibbled over the bill or been rude about the lousy breakfast. Fortunately there's many other fine options in the area to bring our business to, and I'm sure they know how to prepare the dishes on their own menu.

A nice local cafe and delicatessen. I ordered a bacon sandwich on seeded bread which was very nice. The cappuccino was also very nice but I felt it was a bit overpriced for what was essentially a small cup. They sell locally produced honey too. It's a bit more expensive than the supermarkets but I'm looking forward to trying it. The toilet facilities are basic but good and clean, and much nicer than the grim affairs that constitute toilets at Bedminster Asda.

An excellent English breakfast and lovely staff! I was on the hunt for an English breakfast when I stumbled on East Street Deli and decided to give them a go. When I ordered the English breakfast I was able to change the tea that came with it to coffee. Both were delicious, the breakfast was made of truly high quality ingredients, I was also allowed extra black pudding on the side. Both the members of staff that I met (sorry I didn't catch your names!) were really lovely and welcoming, I had a great chat with both of them. I've given one less star for atmosphere as I feel that is fair because they're renovating, however, I'm excited to see the place when it's finished and am definitely coming back in the meantime.

In truth, I should really only award 4 stars, because the place isn't quite finished yet. The owners (who are lovely people) are still building and decorating, but you can see that this is going to be a fantastic place (it already is fantastic) to eat and enjoy good food. My partner and I had a delicious lunch there, served with superb cups of coffee (x2) a delicious and chunky Millionaire's Slice, and some hot food (whiich, to my shame, I cannot remember what it was, but I do remember that I was going to write a review to say how good it was). I wish the owners every bit of luck with their endeavours. They are personable, professional and have talent to spare when it comes to service and foodstuffs.

Finally! I've been waiting for a place like this on East St for 20 years... "Unfortunately", this place has a huge range of sandwiches, paninis, toasties, etc. and, having tried one, I am now going to have to try ALL the others as well... "Damn!" :) I'm on about visit 4-5(?), so: time to post a review. The flavour combinations are just right - often only a few ingredients but they balance beautifully. The staff are really personable, the owner and staff all like dogs (and dogs are allowed inside) - which is a big plus in my view. If you're unsure what to go for, the East St Feast is seriously one of the very best sandwiches I've EVER had. (Full disclosure, the toilet is still a little a bit 'under construction', and there are a couple of places for art with no art on the walls, but neither of these detract in any real way from this 5* rating - it just makes it feel like the place is building itself up.)

I don't normally review, but after reading the owner's rude responses to negative feedback, it encouraged me to provide my input. I ordered from this place online, and similarly to another reviewer, I found the portion sizing was poor. Not much sauce and meat with a hell of a lot of mash. The food was bland, and my partner's food suffered the same two issues. The shop itself is nice and I was visiting regularly, but the owners attitude to peoples bad experiences has turned me off a tad.

Edit2: I think the condesending response from the owner says it all. Let me address a few things. Firstly, I abhor the idea that I am one of those pathetic people who whine about everywhere they order from. I couldn't care less who cooks it, the curry goat lacked flavour. The portion size was terrible. Loads of rice, very little of the rest (by the way peas are indeed a vegetable). Yes, the price of £9.50 is expensive given this portion size. If portioned better it would be a perfectly normal price. I don't think berating me for my negative review is very fair at all, I was only honest about my experience. Same issue with the cottage pie, the ratio was bad, a lot of mash with very very little sauce. You are right, a Tesco 300g portion would suit me better in this instance, despite how little I would want that, either. It is true you have overwhelmingly positive reviews, and when I was regularly buying your sandwiches I see why. However this was simply not a good meal, it tasted bad and had bad ratios. Do not act as if you are the only chef in the world and talk down to me as if I am simply complaining for the sake of it. Edit: Adjusted to two stars as I thought 1 star was a bit unfair and dramatic. I have had nice sandwiches from here before and am willing to give the benefit of the doubt. The rest of my review still stands however, I was surprised and disappointed with this order. Ordered delivery. Food was abysmal, high prices with bad portions. Curry goat had zero flavour and was mostly rice, very little meat and veg. Cottage pie tasted strange, was undercooked and again had an offensively small amount of sauce, veg and meat. I expected more after having nice sandwiches from here. I rarely complain about bad food but this annoyed me, I'd say it's insulting to your customers to sell such rubbish at this price.

Not really a family friendly place. Didn’t mention anything at the time as I was with my kids and didn’t want to make a scene. Issues were: 1. Got charged £1.90 for a cup of hot milk. Seemed a bit steep but it was the first thing I ordered so I didn’t question it. 2. The server took the instruction for a hot milk a bit too literally and when my 3 year old went to drink it she spilt it cause it was scalding. 3. Server said “shit” when she spilled the coffee unloading the tray 🤣🤣🤣 can’t wait for my toddler to repeat it at nursery!! 4. Ordered a flat white and a cappuccino, might as well have ordered two white coffees in different sizes. Even the server looked a bit embarrassed about it 🤣 5. The staff kindly let us use the staff toilet as my baby needed a change - no baby change obviously but the lack of a sink to wash hands was a bit of a red flag… I’m sure it would be fine for take away?

Very nice food and drink, I think. And very pleasant down to earth folk who run here. - Patient & helpful for concerns too. Half star down possibly might be, as the cake/sweet options are quite or very limited. I think they would do well to have a few regular and smaller portions too maybe, options, in this line. Chocolate cake was very nice when had it before though, with a dollop of ice cream. The premises are in development stage, putting in a toilet, as earlier reviewer suggests. But hospitality folk are battling enough, so patience needed with us all one thinks ! I hope to be back for my fourth visit when next over Bedminster way.

For my family, a Friday evening is never complete without a Peri-Peri chicken feast! Although I’ve often opted for takeaways from this place, this time, I wanted to experience dining in. And I must say, it didn’t disappoint! Unlike many Peri-Peri joints where space feels tight, this restaurant is spacious and airy, allowing for a comfortable dining experience. I ordered a whole Peri-Peri chicken with two spicy rice, two drinks, five chicken strips, and a side of chips. Since I’ve had their takeaway before, I already knew the food would be good. But dining in was a whole different ball game! Eating the food hot and fresh, while having access to an array of sauces based on personal preference (much like at Nando’s), made the experience even better. The menu offers a lot more variety than your average Peri-Peri place, with sauce options including hot, medium, very hot, mango, lime, and garlic. There was another one starting with “Abu,” which I, unfortunately, can’t recall, but I loved all of them! The real showstoppers were the spicy rice and the chicken—absolutely mouthwatering! If only this place were closer to home, I wouldn’t have to drive 20 minutes every time to get my fix! To round off the meal, I ordered a Ferrero Rocher milkshake, which was nothing short of divine. Even my two-year-old couldn’t get enough of it! Parking is ample, and there are separate restrooms for males and females. The prices are pretty reasonable too—great value for money. But the cherry on top? The exceptional service from Khuram! He was an absolute gem, making us feel so welcome. Even my little one took a liking to him instantly. All in all, a fantastic Friday night, and I can’t wait to come back again! Thank you once again, brother Khuram—you’re a star!

We had a great time at Namak for my wife's surprise birthday dinner. Namak were very accommodating and somehow managed to squeeze 18 of us into a private room upstairs. The food was amazing and they were flexible with our food and drink requests. Prashant and Mayank especially took good care of us throughout the evening. Overall, it was a v fun place for her birthday celebration. Would recommend Namak if you've got a big group and want delicious food with a warm service.

Excellent kebab van with huge portions of meat and great fresh salad. The chips/fries were hot and crispy and so were the onion rings. Very reasonably priced too. We will be back the next time we stay at Portishead Premier Inn.
