Called in on a Thursday evening. Was really pleased, nice lay out. Great selection of drinks. Menu was a traditional Pub Grub, all the favourites that we like. I went for Garlic mushrooms to start, nice. Gammon for main, very tasty, and a proper man size portion,very filling. Side Salad was fresh and crisp

Do not under estimate this Gem of a pub ,great beers and the food is lovely home cooked and generous on the plate. Too many meals to pick one over the other. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Pub found by accident Land lady very welcoming and helpful. Food was very good and reasonably priced with good sized portions. Husband had the ham egg and chips which was lovely. The ham was thickly sliced and was very tender, served with two eggs peas and lots of crispy chips. The basket meals are really good value at £9.00. I was expecting a small meal of burger and chips for that price but the burger seemed to be a quarter pounder with a very generous portion of chips. I highly recommend this pub.

Arrived on spec to eat. Welcomed warmly. Had great pub food with good portions at a reasonable price. My wife had fish and chips which was accompanied by chips salad and coleslaw. I had pie with chips and peas and extra gravy. What more could a hungry man need. Will definitely go again!

We needed to charge our electric vehicle and get some lunch, so this was an ideal place to stop, just seconds off the A30. The pub is clean and fresh and the landlady was very welcoming. We had a nice chat with her and she was telling us about the improvements she has been making since taking over the pub a few months ago. Apparently, her son does the cooking and he is doing a great job. We ordered our steaks medium rare and they were perfectly cooked. The portions were generous and my wife appreciated that the meat in her steak baguette was moist and tender with no grissle. We also thought the prices were quite reasonable compared to other places we have visited in Cornwall. Their beers are well kept and I really enjoyed a pint of Sea Fury (my favourite Cornish ale). I would recommend this pub to anyone who wants to stop for lunch while travelling to mid-Cornwall or further west, but it is particularly useful to people who need to charge their electric vehicles. There are 2 75Kw contactless chargers in the car park. They are leased separately by Osprey, so there is no obligation to use the pub, but if you can time your journey to arrive when the pub is open, you can have a really enjoyable meal while your car is charging.

Invited by the landlady for a game of bingo with the locals on a Wednesday night and had a meal beforehand. It was the biggest plate I've ever had for £9 and had a great night having a laugh and playing bingo with a raffle too! Highly recommend for a relaxed and friendly drink. Well stocked bar and lots of choice. Great little pub 👍

Had the pleasure of visiting The Plume of Feathers again over the weekend. I had the Surf and Turf which was absolutely fab and my partner had the Lasagne which She raved about. The pub is undergoing some nice aesthetic changes and at the time We were there they were constructing a brand new enclosed patio/games room area which will be great in both winter and summer. Really nice to see that the Landlady is making an effort with making positive changes to making this a great Pub for all. Again highly recommend this welcoming and friendly pub with great atmosphere.

Called in for a spot of lunch and this pub didn’t disappoint, it’s a cosy friendly place with fabulous pub grub and great coffee , we really enjoyed our food , possibly the best steak baguette we’ve had in a long while , dog friendly and a warm welcome, we will be back !

Dirty pub dirty food rude landlady wouldnt be returning after I seen a customer drop a bag of powder (white) and pick it up only to return it back to the one who dropped it! Shocking!

Just what a simple pub should be; a great welcome as you come through the door. New landlady full of enthusiasm and not shy to say that there were no pizzas as they'd run out of mozzarella - hooray! home made not out of the freezer! My steak pie was really good and a well kept pint too. Red wine by the glass was a little limited but I'm more than happy to put that down to just being in place. Great friendly atmosphere. Thank you.

Luvly old fashioned pub (with Sky Sports) had Sunday dinner and was amazing, staff were friendly and the roast potatoes are better than my Mrs (did not tell her that) highly recommended and also quiz night is a good experience

Fantastic Roast 3 meats, plenty of it, 5 tasty fresh veg, wonderful potatoes, crispy crackling, and stayed hot until I finished I'm a slow eater, the welcome from Sarah and Travis was warm and friendly, very clean and cosy, will be our local Sunday roast treat from now on, keep up the excellent work, and thank you. Did take a photo but it was blurry, and would not have done this excellent meal the justice it deserved.

Haven't visited this place for a few years and thought we would give it a try now it is under new ownership. Met Sarah who gave us a really friendly welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The meal was first class, large helpings, reasonable and plenty of choice. On a Monday they do a special deal for over 60s which was fantastic. A really lovely little place to visit, which deserves to be put on the map! Well done Sarah - keep up the good work!!!

The new team running this place is super welcoming and very very friendly. The new landlady is really going out of her way to make this place a great Pub. They have a new chef and a brand new menu which looks great. We just popped in for drinks but ended staying all evening. I'd recommend this place.

I was popping in and out occasionally from January to May then sadly the Pub shut Happy to to have found the place back open and popped in last night and the place has been “cleaned up” and updated by the new Publican. Had the BBQ Chicken pizza which was simply divine. Great pub with great new menu with renewed energy. Well worth a visit.

A holiday isn’t complete without fish and chips and these at the Plume of Feathers did not disappoint. Lovely light crispy batter with no nasty yellow stuff lurking underneath, fresh fish and real chips.

We got here for dinner but I wasn’t impressed by the food at all. We had the macaroni with 3 cheeses. It’s bland and overcooked.

Lovely staff and brilliant service. I ordered the large Sunday lunch as it was only £9.95. I had to take most of it home as ir was a huge portion. I got no less than 6 slices of meat which was beef and pork. There were 2 Yorkshire puddings and 6 roast potatoes. A separate dish came out with carrots, leeks, broccoli, cabbage and a carrot mashed with other veg. Then another dish with cauliflower cheese all topped off with lashing of gravy. My son had sausage(3) mash and peas. Neither of us could finish it and I would recommend to anyone. Might have to try the medium or small next time though!!

well with hand on heart, can honestly say this was one of the worst Sunday lunches I've had, very disappointing, the gravy was just warm brown water, cant say about rest of menu, but would eat Sunday lunch here again

Popped into the Plume of Feathers, as had passed it several times when leaving the A30. The staff were very welcoming, and provided an efficient table service. Menu had a good selection of dishes, and the food was of a great quality - and was good value for money.

Estupendo y acogedor ambiente muy acogedor, excelente servicio, muy eficiente, admite mascotas en el bar donde se puede comer, pero no en el lado de restaurante, pero le da la bienvenida a lo que es raro para pubs.

Staying locally we stopped off for a lunchtime drink to check it out for a possible evening meal - have to say whilst the staff were friendly and the beer ok. The place itself looks tired, grubby and hardly inviting - the dirty pub sign outside should have warned us, but the outside under shelter area was full of dirty old leather furniture, nothing written on the black boards and frankly we felt reluctant to even sit down - we shan't be risking a meal (although the toilers were clean!)

Teóricamente este lugar podría ser genial. Pero no lo es. El bar y el comedor son grandes pero toque oscuro, sombrío y sucio. En nuestras visitas siempre es prácticamente vacíos o imposible completo, debido a una función de algún tipo. Iba a título de esta crítica" como ratas", que probablemente no es justo pero la frase mantiene regresando a mí como yo.

Viajar desde Manchester para una estancia de tres noches, el pub está en una ubicación ideal. Estancia no era lujoso, principal era "viejo" y parecía algo como de la década de 1970, pero la habitación era grande y estaba bien ventilada, y el personal era cálido y acogedor, que hizo toda la diferencia. No estoy seguro del lugar es realmente configurar/cómodo con ofrece alojamiento - por desgracia, después de estar fuera todo el día, todos los días, habitaciones no estaban hechas y toallas limpias no sustituido. Sin embargo, pronto como nos recuerda este joven barman, él vino con toallas frescas y traído es una jarra de leche fresca para las bebidas calientes, té y café, y otras galletas. A pesar de estar dormitorio directamente sobre el bar, no nos molestó el ruido por las noches, podía oír algo de música una noche (guitarristas estaban jugando), pero no era demasiado ruidoso.

Servicio funeral de mi madre era de 2 millas de distancia del hotel.

Domingo almuerzo ha sido puesto en otro planeta. La Plume y plumas en Scorrier tiene que ser el mejor almuerzo de domingo que hemos tenido. Una buena selección de carnes, verdura diferente y en abundancia. El personal también conseguir una excelente para el curtisty y caras sonrientes. Muy buen precio. Por favor, probad este pub.

Esta fue una de las mejores comidas asadas que he tenido. Estaba muy bien presentada, carne tierna bien cocinada y una enorme variedad de verduras que servían en guarniciones. Había una opción de cuatro carnes y tres tamaños diferentes de comidas ofrecidas. El personal era amable y atento. La guinda del pastel era conseguir algo chispeante con mi cerdo asado, algo que no muy a menudo dan. Sin duda volveremos aquí. El precio era muy razonable. Gracias!

Normalmente ir a smokey joes la vuelta de la esquina, pero hoy se estaban llenos, así que decidimos probar este lugar. Absolutamente precioso! comida El asado era simplemente increíble. Tenía nuestros 2 niños con nosotros y no preocuparse de entrar en lugares agradables como son jóvenes y un puñado, pero un hombre encantador les dio una piruleta cada en el final y nos sentimos muy cómodos. No vacilaría volver! La camarera estaba trabajando solo y hizo un gran trabajo. Gracias!!

Reservamos 12 del mediodía y llegamos al lugar, a unos 15 minutos más temprano. Hay un jardín y una zona de juegos al aire libre con asientos y parecía que necesitaban un poco de atención. Sin embargo dentro era acogedor pero frío. Pedimos desde un menú limitado que ofrece 3 opciones de plato, 4 opciones para asado y 4 postres. Ambos ordenados cóctel de gambas, un asado de cerdo y pavo asado con sponge pudding y chocolate fudge cake. Esto podría ser tenía con helado, nata o crema pastelera. El cóctel de gambas era muy agradable con una sabrosa salsa. El asado comidas fueron muy generosos - 4 bien unas lonchas de carne y platos con una gran variedad de verduras muy bien preparado. Cada asado tenía un Yorkshire pudding grande. Había una buena cantidad de salsa y los postres eran deliciosos. El personal era muy atento. Tuvimos una nueva servilleta con cada plato. El costo de las comidas era bueno £15,95 por tres platos pero el vino era £.5.95 por cristal que siento es alta. Fue una agradable cena y creo que normalmente las comidas son un precio competitivo.

Yo vivo en Hertfordshire y estaba visitando mi padre's, que tienen un domingo asado aquí en forma regular, que vivieron en Cornwall previamente durante 12 años pero nunca había comido en the Feathers antes. Honestamente puedo decir que la comida y el servicio eran excepcionales, elegí tienen un gran asado y eso es exactamente lo que era!

Acabo de visitar la penacho de plumas con mi madre y mi padre para comer el domingo y nos encantó. Servicio agradable, ambiente de pub tradicional y precioso domingo asado. Fuimos por la carne medio. Con una buena selección de vegetales, todos ellos muy sabrosos, un montón de salsa, roasties y un Yorkshire. Encantador! Se lo recomendaría a cualquiera que esté buscando una comida de domingo decente. ¡Muchas gracias!

Fuimos un domingo por la tarde, y donde nos sentamos enseguida. La comida (domingo asado) llegó rápidamente y me pareció un gran domingo asado que no cuesta la tierra. 3 de los 4 adultos en la mesa donde más que contento con sus comidas. 1 Persona encontramos la carne un poco grisly. (Lo que no se puede culpar al chef de). Al mencionar que el personal se disculparon enseguida, y corregido el problema. El personal era amable y acogedor de mis hijos y mi niña no importa andar todo alrededor. En un mejor día que podríamos haber hecho uso del jardín de la cerveza. Teniendo en cuenta la antigüedad del pub los inodoros donde absolutamente bien, donde estaba limpio y ordenado. (que es mucho más de lo que puedo decir de un pub mucho más moderno que visitamos al día siguiente)

Nos entretuvimos amigos para cenar aquí, ya que tienen una casa cerca de St día y este es su restaurante local favorito. No nos decepcionó. Hay una buena selección de menú, incluyendo una ofertas especiales. Las comidas de los niños son muy generosas en tamaño de la porción. Las carnes son aparentemente excelente, pero yo elegí una de las comidas sartén - Stir frito con verduras, en mi caso, pollo, unas patatas fritas. Esto era muy sabroso y son enormes - fácilmente alcanzó para dos, pero el más destacado aquí son las patatas fritas, que son hechas a mano y corte y casa completamente delicioso, como su abuela solía hacer! Decida lo que decida tienen que asegurarse de que se trata con patatas fritas! Lo que internet no quiero compartirlo! El ambiente es agradable y se admiten perros. Una noche muy agradable!

Un grupo de 9 de nosotros entramos y pedimos ver el menú, ya que tenemos un par de personas en el grupo con intolerancia y alergenos.

Sí el lunes por la noche, finales de junio, se celebrará antes tarde, les llamé y me preguntó si estaban haciendo la comida. Oh que durante mucho tiempo terminado" respondió el encargado, en un tono de voz mocking_nus, como si él estaba contento.

Una bienvenida cálida, los precios de la comida parecía un poco alta, pero el tamaño de las porciones compensaron, era la sabrosa comida muy bien presentada, una excelente comida!! Un montón de mesas al aire libre, barbacoa, zona de aparcamiento grande con cómodos asientos - un gran lugar, justo a la salida de la A30!!

My wife and i are avid vegans and the cheff presented us with the most wonderful whole meal bagette and salad several times this July, it was a different salad each time, and we will be visiting them again this coming September Mr A D Piers

Had Sunday lunch. Lovely welcome and comfortable surroundings. The only thing we would say was that the food service was a bit slow, given that it was not very busy. The meal itself was excellent, and we will go back again!!

We went to this restaurant today with my family and my 1 year old sat down to have food got given a high chair I had to clean before he even sat in it which was all scratched and manky we had 2 fish and chips and 2 steak and ale pies I had mine with mash which tbh I wish I hadn't it was not mash at all I found the skin of a jacket potato which they had not taken out and really dry and the pie was basically a casserole with carrots on it and some horrible pastry on top and no Gravy to go on the mash or pie ???? So I ended up pouring my "casserole " on it still didn't taste much better the fish wasn't overly nice either and a few chips to be honest the chips where the best thing there the only thing my family enjoyed then there's the drinks don't ask for a lemon and lime they don't know how to do it and your wasting your time if you ask for no ice ! Then it comes to the bill which they then stuck an extra on because it was apparently the "pie of the day" even though we ordered steak and ale that was on the menu for cheaper !!!! For the prices they charge it really isn't worth it at all over £9 for casserole and horrible mash was not enjoyable at all !

We were on route to the south west, needed a meal so when we saw the Plume of Feathers which said it was a restaurant we went in, ordered a drink then asked for the menu only to be told they weren't doing food that night, Total waste of our time.

We had eaten here 18 months ago and the food was wonderful, so good that we visited every week for around two months. Then, we arrived to find that the chef had gone but we ordered the food, and could not believe that they would serve such rubbish, but they did!We have since gone back to try again and have found that the great chef has still not returned.The only saving grace is the quality and selection of the beers.

rang and made a reservation for 13 people on our way back from a day out whilst on holidaywe had eaten at this place 2 years ago and the people were great and the food was brill but this time what a waste of time and money!!!!!!we were all seated in cramped conditions, we ordered food and 55 mins later the childrens meals came out (to long ) then adult meals came out in dribs and drabs, dont order anything that says with seasonal veg as this came out 20 mins later after mains (what a shambles) didnt even get a sorry, we wouldnt recommend this place again and would deffo not eat there again, much better places to eat than the plume of feathers scorrier , total rubbish

this place serves decent meals with a genuine welcome. plenty of choice on offer at fair prices. we had the sunday roast and it well cooked, tasty and fairly priced. This place is handy if you are visiting Hartlands.There was a choice of roasts and veg.all of which were fresh and plentyful and well presented.we would call there again when in the area

First and last visit, devilled kidneys served with tasteless sauce and a tired salad. Sea bass with prawns and garlic etc no prawns and very little taste of garlic also poor quality sea bass. The absolutely worst dauphinoise potatoes ever, not really sure what they were. On three occasions I mentioned my displeasure to the two pleasant but inept waitresses to no avail, one time was while asking for and receiving the bill. One saving grace was linen napkins however that is not enough to get me back.
