Food was amazing, so tasty couldn't fault any of the dishes. Great service and value for money. Great restaurant choice for our last night of holiday.

We have eaten at this restaurant several times since it has opened when the food was pretty good. On our last two visits we found that the standard had dropped considerably and the food bore no resemblance to the previous times we ate there. The chicken was hard and swimming in a sweet sauce. The prawns were inedible. It is not a patch on the Paignton restaurant of the same name which is a great shame. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

Waited 1 hour for starters and 2 hours for main. Manager offered 10% off but was ridiculous for our experience. We understand they were busy at the time, but wait time was horrific. Will not be coming back to East in the West

The meal was excellent. Overall excellent service. Would highly recommend a visit to the restaurant. Lovely ambience.

Really fancied an Indian meal while staying in Torquay this place did not disappoint as soon as we entered we were looked after , the food was so delicious the whole experience was amazing thank you Ramesh for looking after us I would definitely recommend this place

We will visited Torquay for a weekend break. Having seen the reviews we decided to go to his restaurant for a meal. I had a chicken Jalfrezi and my wife had a chicken korma. The meals were bland and a beige color.Lacking taste...bland bland bland...no sauce.Wont be back.

The staff were really friendly and the restaurant was clean and inviting however, the food service was dreadful. The waiter took our whole food order all once to save time. Our poppadums arrived in a timely manner but there wasn’t really enough chutney for our party of 5. This wasn’t a major problem. The table was cleared and we then had to wait 50 minutes for our mains to arrive. The accompanying rice dishes then arrived at least 5 minutes later and we never received our side order. There was no apology from the staff at any point. The food was perfectly acceptable but nothing to make me want to go again, even if the service hadn’t been so slow.

Excellent food, I had the masala dosa which was perfectly spiced and delicious. There is a great choice of vegetarian food & not just the usual bog standard Indian dishes. Service was excellent too & great decor.

Great service quality food, I have been many times I would recommend this restaurant and its sister restaurant in Paignton. I have loved Indian cuisine for many years and this is one of my favourite restaurants.

Our service was not so good, waiters and waitresses were good when we were attended , possibly not enough staff,we were a big party booked so expected. Food well I have had much better there ( been loads of times ) my starter Luke warm,jalfrezi more vegetables than chicken. dissapointed

A busy and atmospheric Saturday evening. The team here are always so welcoming and smiling. Quality ingredients vindicated by no nasty aftereffects the following morning. Very good value, especially for the range of good wines. A delicious king prawn dish, a creamy and melt in the mouth lamb dish. They now offer the more generic options for mass appeal. I'm afraid we have slipped a star on this occasion as both dishes were a little overcooked, whilst a nan mostly disintegrated to crumbs. 🇳🇿🇬🇧

We came back after having a wonderful meal here, earlier in the year. It was superb again. Best Indian restaurant we have ever been to. We've been to many. Definitely recommend

First of all, the decor, lighting and ambience in here is very nice and staff all very friendly. We weren't overly impressed with the food though. Some flavours were nice but other things were odd, like we ordered a chicken jalfrezi curry and there was no sauce with it, just spiced chicken & onions in a bowl. The other meal we ordered was a grilled meal (kebab platter), which was OK but we ended up with a very 'dry' meal, no sauces at all in the starter or main, which isn't great with rice and naan. Indian cuisine is usually about the curry sauces too, we didn't get any of that. We have eaten in the one in Paignton and found that very good. It was extremely quiet and friends and colleagues have mentioned about not being overly impressed with the Torquay one, but loving the one in Paignton too, and I can't help but wonder whether some reviewers in here are getting mixed up between the two restaurants. All said, it wasn't a bad meal, give it a try. Maybe if we had ordered different things it would have been a different experience, but we wouldn't return unless we started hearing good things about it.

Arrived here by chance whilst at a work conference. Fantastic and unusual menu. Amazing food. Highly recommend and will define return. We had lamb shank, chicken dosa and prawn molly. Everything was delicious .

I was sceptic at the beginning as wasn’t to busy by the look through the window, but what you can expect from Monday morning! So happy we give it a go! Amazing smiley staff, delicious food and cosy atmosphere! We will be back on our next visit in Torquay for sure! Fully recommended!

The owners have done an excellent fit-out, the food was delicious, and the service very friendly - what's not to like? We will be going back soon.

First time visit to this restaurant, very impressive fresh interior with well spaced tables. Food & menu choices were superb, service attentive but not annoying. Good value food & drinks. Will definitely re - visit.

What a great experience here on a busy Saturday night, a bright, very nicely furnished, well set out tables, and very well organised restaurant. The menu offered great variation and something different from the norm, the service throughout was friendly and extremely efficient, you felt welcomed. Excellent food quality, full of flavour, all dishes on our table were great, it’s very reasonably priced too, as are the drinks which also had good choice. Torquay has needed an Indian restaurant of this quality for a while and every credit to them, it’s a great place, very popular and will return.

Very good quality Indian food in a tastefully designed and well lit restaurant. Very good service and good value for money. A spacious restaurant so you are not on top of each other.

We've eaten here three times since it opened its new Torquay location in October. Each time the food has been of the same, exceptional standard. Our previous visit was a large group for Xmas and we had their festive menu - they were kind enough to cook a starter from that menu no longer available (the Cauliflower65) which my wife had again. The service is attentive, helpful but not overbearing. Atmosphere is really good too. Thoroughly recommend!

We came here for my birthday and it’s the 2nd time we have been now, on both occasions it’s been perfect. The service, food and complete experience is outstanding. We have already booked for New Years Eve! Thank you East in the West, you are the best! X

My partner and I visited this place for an anniversary dinner and absolutely loved it. From the incredible food to the friendly attentive staff; we enjoyed every second. I myself am coeliac and found the staff brilliant at dealing with this. I mentioned my allergy when given menus and was directed instantly to what I could and couldn’t eat by the first waiter. I mentioned my allergy to the second waiter who took our order, who, without being asked, double checked that I could definitely eat everything ordered. I was never made to feel like an inconvenience because of this and felt as if the staff were so knowledgeable and happy to check. Absolutely would recommend. We will definetly be back!

A welcome arrival by sister restaurant in Paignton. Upmarket Indian with a short and non generic menu. Scallops to start. A pheasant dish. Quality ingredients and sauces. Delightful and ever smiling crew.🇬🇧🇳🇿

Great food - proper Indian home cooking, with fresh spices. Small menu as this branch is quite new, but very impressed with the quality and friendly service. Highly recommended.

As good as it gets! The quality of the food, the flavouring and the presentation were excellent. We have eaten in Indian restaurants throughout the UK, and this is amongst the best! Lovely people and good service. A fair price for an excellent meal.

Superb Indian food, with excellent service, relaxing atmosphere and well spaced seating. Good value too. Staff were friendly and attentive, service was quick and efficient. All in all a very pleasant experience.
