When holidaying in Cornwall the bush pepper should be a top tier priority your list. There are many things to enjoy on the menu but in my opinion you must always try something new. For example their kangaro was such a unusual but delicious dish. It doesn't have that gamey beefy iron taste to it, so you really can season it however you like. The menu said it was Cajun but I felt it lacked that spicy element. The port and red wine reduction was lovely. And the sweet potato wedges really complimented the kangaroo. My wings were fall apart melt in your mouth. However, it said it was BBQ flavour I think it needed a bit more of a smokey depth to it. The sauce felt a little confused. But still delicious. The people who served us were a delight Jasmine and Sian. Two sweet & Stella servers who make all the correct check backs at the appointed time. They had great banter. They really did look after us. Check backs really mean alot to me as a customer and you can always tell if they are genuine. The portion sizes as you can see are spot on. Just an all round amazing time. The owner must be proud.

Lucky enough to eating here in storm so with the gentle rocking motion you could imagine the train carriage was departing for Paris. The décor is kitschy, some may say it too much but I found it interesting and sort fits with dining on a train. The sea food speaks for itself, I hope you will enjoy it.

Another wonderful evening at the Jack. Fish Pie was a delight and washed down nicely with a couple of pints of Otter ale. Staff are always so friendly and attentive. We are so lucky to have to have such a top level gastropub on our doorstep. Long live the Jack!

Well we were booked for a surprise 60th Birthday meal on 22nd December 2023. Spoke directly with the restaurant to book & he phoned back to clarify . Just under before someone said they were shutting for Christmas & New Year - their last night was Monday 18th. I rang them constantly that evening with no answer, & I’ve rang them since. I have emailed them with out reply. I have never in my life had such poor customer service

It was our first visit, and we were not disappointed. We chose a large selection of small plates and devoured the lot. My favourite was the pork belly, so tender and juicy that it just fell apart, combined with stick molasses that complimented it perfectly. I had a glass of their rose sangria, which was delicious and sweet, and I could easily have enjoyed more. No reservations were taken for small groups, as they say on their website, just turn up. The staff were knowledgeable, really friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxing with music from the 70s being played, which we enjoyed and related to. We arrived at around 12.30 pm, and by the time we departed, it was full.... always a good sign. It was a great find, and we will definitely be returning..... sooner rather than later! We've been coming to Da Mario's for years now, always enjoyed it and been using Uber Eats to order to home for a few months now, and again, never a problem. Until our order on 27th November where my partner ordered a Vegetarian for myself and a Ciao for herself (which she always gets) - the description on both Uber and their website advises "chicken, mushroom and sweetcorn" ... nothing else. My partner is allergic to onions, and has had this pizza many times with no problem. However on this occasion after ordering and being notified our Pizza would be with us in 45minutes. We didn't receive it for just under 2 hours and when we finally did, my partners pizza was covered in onions. We called Da Mario's who advised us that we would need to speak to Uber eats who are "24/7" as the order was placed through them, even though it was Da Mario's who' messed the order up, and acknowledged that they made this mistake over the phone. We were unable to get through to Uber eats customer service for several days and they've eventually responded to a complaint raised by email to advise they won't be giving a refund. So to highlight this, we've paid nearly £30 for a couple of cold pizzas that had gone nearly soggy due to how long they took to get to us, one of which was made completely wrong by the restaurant and my partner couldn't eat and we're out of pocket.... Not happy. I'd like to think the restaurant would acknowledge this and offer some form of compensation, even it was to come in for a free pizza, but I'm never confident with places taking ownership these days of situations like this. Shame after being regular customers for nearly 5 years.

Simply outstanding!! From the moment you are greeted to happily offering a generous tip " The Shack " in Falmouth is a must for all sea food lovers! The food, the flavours, the portion sizes, the choice, the price.. all just great value! If it was closer this would be our local go to most weekends. Nothing to fault here!
