A great place to stay before flying from Bristol Friendly service, great food, clean rooms ,we have stayed here a few times and never disappointed.

Check in was quick and easy as I had pre checked in online. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Located my room easy enough and it was lovely and homely with all the essentials. Had an evening meal and a drink in the pub, food was delicious, hot and plentiful. Slept better than I thought I would being next to a main road. Check out was easy as this could be done online too, all that was needed was to drop the key back in at reception on the way out. Would recommend and stay again.

Food was good and we didn't have to wait long, good prices too. Lovely old fashioned pub. I believe there may be a resident ghost too! We sat on table number 3, we had full view of the heavy fire doors which lead to the back car park, the both opened by them selves then closed with a thud! The bar tender heard this too, so was expecting someone to walk in to the bar. When this didn't happen he walked down the bar to take a look to see why no one was there! The two whom we believed to be the landlord and landlady were very very pleasant and welcoming. Great place to have food, especially if you are on route to Bristol airport.

Visited on Friday with my friend for lunch. We hadn't booked and it was busy so we were lucky to get a table. We were made to feel welcome and service was good. We both had scampi and chips which we both found very enjoyable. I used to visit this pub regularly many years ago as it was my gran's local so it was great to visit again and to find it's still good. Will definitely go back again. Revisited on 7th November. We were made very welcome, the pub was cozy and decorated for Christmas. I had the surf and turf which was very good, the steak was tender and very tasty, all the side dishes were good too. My friend had the hunters chicken which was also very good. I couldn't resist apple crumble despite being full, and the custard was served separately which is always a plus for me. My friend had sticky toffee pudding. Both puddings were just what we needed.

Friendly staff and decent pub grub.

A power cable came down on the road outside and left a number of us stranded on the way to the airport. The amazing landlady drove us in her car out of the kindness of her heart to get us to the airport so we wouldn't miss our flights. An absolute legend, and i must return to Winford one day and have a meal at the pub.

We booked a Sunday lunch online at the time we wanted for 4 people, We all chose the Sunday lunch menu, the roast dinner we were served, was well cooked and presented . The staff were polite and courteous the drinks and food were well priced. One of the best Sunday lunches I have had in years.

Turned up with no booking staff very accommodating and friendly Decent pub grub good portions and price just what we needed after a long day driving needed some sustenance and to kill some time in a comfortable place while waiting for a flight

Popped in on the way to the airport. Really friendly staff , good food . Not overly expensive. Really liked the way I could swap chips for a side salad .( Trying to be healthy) Remember to register your parking on the tablet on the bar as you walk in.

Never fails to disappoint, lovely welcoming and professional staff, fantastic food with a varied menu for all and a lovely calm atmosphere. Food wait was reasonable and drink service was swift. Thank you.

Made to feel extremely welcome from the start, staff are very helpful and polite. Food menu is very varied and seems to cater for most dietary needs and is cooked freshly my only criticism is that they could do with more different beers and ales on draft.we will be coming back in the future.

We stayed here the night before a very early flight from Bristol airport. The check-in staff were very friendly and the meal in the evening (gammon steaks) was excellent. Highly recommended.

First visit for a long time. No bread or baguettes available for our lunchtime visit. Food cheap and cheerful, vouchers available for main courses. I think the place could do with a refurb. Not sure I'd rush back.

Wow I came here to the balloon festival This is a great pub and restaurant very friendly and very clean great food I stayed 3 nights and ate something different every night everything was perfect very close to the airport a bus passes the door every 5 minutes that takes you into the centre of Bristol breakfast was lovely does not matter how busy they were there was no waiting time

Lovely and clean, great selection of vegetarian dishes, very good pint of Guinness. Lovely friendly, helpful staff.

Getting a little dated now and needs a refresh. Staff were lovely and service was good. Cauli wings for starters was lacking BBQ sauce, not very large and expensive for what is was. Rest of the food was good though.

Excellent food, beer and service. Very convenient to Bristol Airport. We stopped there on the way, which we booked in advance and on the way home on a very busy bank holiday afternoon, and they found us a table even though we hadn't booked. Thanks to everyone at the Fox and Goose

Easy to find and close to Bristol airport. No problem with parking. Friendly welcome with easy check in. Very nice room, I would just say that our room was upstairs which was no issue for us but if stairs are an issue let them know you need a ground floor room. We did not eat so cannot comment on food but there were a number of people eating but it was a good pint of beer.

We were lucky to arrive just before 3pm, not aware of the fact, they close the kitchen between 3pm and 5 pm, webpage didn't tell us.

It's a nice pub, a bit tired around the edges, but lovely staff. The food is what you would expect from a Marston's and was served promptly hot and presented well by someone who smiled

Lovely pub, great service, decent food. Very busy midweek, glad we booked in advance. The burger and chips were really nice. Can also recommend the scampi and the chicken burger. Desserts went down well 😁 Hope to visit again.

Pub 7km from Bristol, overnight stay a little expensive for the type of accommodation

Booked for stay the night before early flight. On arrival we were greeted and checked in promptly. The room was clean warm and had everything we needed. The bar and restaurant area was spotless and tables were being cleaned and cleared as soon as people finished and left We reserved a table for food, lucky we pre booked as the restaurant soon filled up. The staff were friendly helpful and gave us a warm welcome. I would definitely stay again based on this experience and have already recommended to family and friends.

Website menu states food avaliable / served up to 3pm. We called for a late lunch at 2:45pm and we're told no food available as the kitchen shuts @ 3pm! Very misleading and disengenuous then!

Enjoyed a night's stay. Very comfortable hotel. Had an evening meal & drinks in the bar which was very good & didn't break the bank ! Had a first class breakfast before we departed the following morning. Hotel very clean & tidy, the staff were friendly & very polite & helpful. Will certainly be back for another visit. I’d made an error and booked a room for the wrong date. The staff were excellent and fortunately there was availability and they changed my booking. They were so friendly and accommodating. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We eat in the restaurant, food was great. Plenty of car parking spaces

Stayed the night as had holiday flight next day. Easy to book online. Had very pleasant spacious room. Comfy bed. Very clean. Great shower and spacious enclosure. Perhaps a second chair would be good in the bedroom. Staff at reception and in the bar really pleasant and helpful. Evening meal was really good. Will definitely stay again.

This is a nice old fashioned pub with a lovely cosy atmosphere. The food was typical pub food but served hot and extremely tasty. The staff were very accommodating in fitting us in as we had just landed on a flight from Tenerife and were quite hungry. Would highly recommend them.

Just popped in for the a quick pub lunch. I had the pie and it was really good, helped with really crisp chips and a good glug of gravy. Well worth a visit.

When we arrived all the tables were reserved however a table came free but was taken by other customers. Staff found us a table in the restaurant. Food was great and reasonably priced. Staff were fantastic. We were collecting from the airport that evening so them helping us get something to eat so close was great. Highly recommend.
