I can see what they are trying to achieve here but poor service, food came out cold and I found the owners overbearing and rude - we are looking for a meal out not a social

I found this delightful pub whilst driving from Romsey. It’s a quintessentially English affair with a beautiful garden, great views and friendly, attentive service. The rooms are beautifully decorated and great value for money. The food and drink is well priced and the decor extremely attractive. Staff are friendly and smiley and the surrounding area is truly beautiful. I had a lovely, relaxing stay and will definitely be back. Thank you to the team!

Booked for Sunday lunch with my wife, arrived early, but not a problem - food was lovely, service was quick and efficient. All in all a great experience and actually very good value for money. I presume the owners are a husband and wife combo who were absolutely lovely - nothing was too much trouble (great beer garden to the rear and plenty of parking) Go visit The Kings Head, you won't regret it.

We decided to try the Kings Head as have heard that it had changed hands, and the reviews on TripAdvisor were good. Unfortunately when we visited we were the only ones there apart from one man sat at the bar, so there was no atmosphere. We were shown to a window seat which was upholstered , and looked very appealing, but when we were sat there we noticed that the upholstery was badly worn and ripped, and looked awful. The food was quite nice, but overpriced for what it was. The highlight of our visit was a Latte served in a very attractive cut glass tumbler which was a nice touch!

Popped in for a glass of wine and had a lovely welcome from the new owner, Nicky. She showed me around one of their rooms as I am often in the area. It was comfortable and stylish, can’t wait to come back and try the food! Would recommend if you are local, passing through or, looking to explore the beautiful surrounding area, this pub caters to all!

My wife and I visited last Friday for dinner and stayed over in one of their rooms. Great food and lovely welcoming staff. special mention to Lorenzo who cooked and served a magnificent breakfast. We will be back. Patrick & Nicky

We booked for Sunday Lunch and decided to sit in the Bar to eat. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was delicious and the selection of wine was great. We have since visited another couple of times and enjoyed it just as much as we did the first time. The quality and the consistency were spot one.

Excellent pub with fantastic food and great service! The best Roast dinner locally to us. We have been to the Kings Head many times for Sunday roasts and also ordered from the regular menu, which has a great selection. The food is always very well presented and we’ve never had a bad meal!

Excellent all round. My partner and I stayed here to get away for the weekend and it was perfect. Parking on-site, smooth check in process, delicious reasonably priced food in a seperate dining area, adjacent to the pub which was a great atmosphere with live music. The accom itself was modern, clean and cozy. The full English buffet breaky +/- a continental spread the next morning catered for everyone. Would highly recommend on all fronts and looking forward to our next visit!

Stayed 2 nights at the Kings Head before cruising from Southampton. Can’t fault it! We had a nice welcome when we arrived matched by a lovely stay. Our room, Lockerley was on the ground floor and looked like new. It was a good sized room with a king sized bed and was clean, light and airy. Don’t know how they keep the cream coloured carpet so clean! The furniture was retro and we loved it! The bed was comfortable and although there’s no air con (it’s a lovely old building) there was a fan supplied. There were French doors which opened on to a private, gravelled area with 2 seats and there was piped music playing outside too. The bathroom was a good size with a powerful shower which had both fixed and hand held heads. The toiletries were really good and smelt of mint and rosemary, gorgeous. Only thing missing from the room, for us, was a fridge. Breakfast was very good and plentiful with the offer of more from a very friendly chef. We also ate in the restaurant on the first night and can highly recommend. The pub has a great atmosphere and there’s a pleasant outside seating area. We would have liked the option of a later check out as we couldn’t board our ship until 1pm. Having said that, although check out was 10:30 we didn’t actually leave until 11am and nobody hassled us. Lovely stay, friendly staff and we will definitely stay again when down in the area. Can’t recommend enough!

We stayed one night here and it was very enjoyable. We had a lovely room, that was fully equipped and comfortable. Extensive garden area too. Dinner was very nice indeed and breakfast lovely as well. Well worth a visit.

Went here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. We were greeted by a friendly barman and shown to our seats by a friendly waitress. Restaurant was fairly busy. We had 3 x tapas bowls for starters between two of us. Patatas Bravas, Bang Bang Prawns and Wild Mushrooms and Smoked Applewood Arancini. All three bowls were cooked to perfection and tasted divine. Mains was Picanha Steak with Chimichurri sauce for my partner and Beef Brisket Flatbread for myself. Both dishes were delicious and we were very impressed with the portion sizes. We did not have desert as we were unable to eat anymore. Great food and very friendly staff in a lovely location. Try this restaurant and you will not regret it.

We have eaten here 3 times over the last 3 months, the building has lots of character and has a really nice atmosphere, the staff are engaging and attentive and the food has been excellent. My wife and I are both gluten intolerant and we particularly like the clearly marked menu and the wide range of choice.

Wow, great food, great pub, great service, great value. What a find! First review I have ever written but lunch today was so fantastic that felt I had to sing its praises from the rooftops. Tapas starters were perfectly cooked and delicious, sourdough bread was amazing, mains Picanha steak and a Spring salad with chicken, the sizes of which were so large that unfortunately we had no room to pick a desert from the mouthwatering selection. At last a local pub with not only superb food but also a good gin and real ale selection. We will be back!

We had a 60th birthday celebration for 25 people in the beautiful function room upstairs. Emilian, Peter and Katya couldn't have been any more helpful or attentive. The 3-course meal was excellent, the room was stunning and the service was absolutely amazing. Thank you all so much for making my day so memorable.

We had a fantastic family meal for 16, the food was delicious with a great menu. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend and look forward to going again soon.

Really enjoyed our meal at the Kingshead in Whiteparish. It was early evening when we booked so we had the back room to ourselves, it was a lovely atmosphere with attentive service and delicious food. I went for the baked cod loin and I would highly recommend as it was delicious, my partner had the steak and said it’s one of the best steaks he’s ever had! Also loved the bill being placed in an old book, thought that was a unique touch. Will definitely be back if we’re ever in the area again, thank you guys :)

Stayed one night. Excellent room with lovely patio area, Bedding ,decor and facilities were all of high quality. Evening meal excellent, my wife stated the Beef and Ale pie was the best pie she has ever taste! Excellent breakfast . Lovely location in quiet village.
