The best restaurants in South West

Easily the best chippy I've ever had. It's got that extra attention to detail. Save your appetite. Don't you even dare order fish and chips in the nearby pubs when you can go here!

Been a few times now and best steaks around and I’ve tried a lot of restaurants staff excellent service excellent if there was one issue the price of spirits is very high so drink beer

Looe is on the up as a foodie destination because of places like this. Really tasty food. What else could you want from a restaurant!

Booking was easy and we were greeted in a very welcoming manner. Staff were very attentive throughout and helped guide our menu choice when we asked them. All the food was delicious, very tasty and tailored to our taste. Will definitely visit again.

Went here with my girlfriend to celebrate a birthday and had the most delicious meal. Fish soup, ragu, and pavlova – all of it stunning. Staff were friendly and service was smooth. Cannot wait to dine at their new pizza restaurant!

We went here for our wedding anniversary because I just love Turkish food. The starter was amazing so good. My husband’s main course was fantastic but my main wasn’t to my taste, but when the waitress approached me she couldn’t have been more helpful she offered to bring me another dish but when I said that would be too filling I was offered another dish to takeaway. I really rate this restaurant the food is amazing and the service is above and beyond. The only reason I gave one star less for atmosphere was it was a very quiet night.

Friendly mother and daughter team. Had lovely cream tea, excellent value. Later had bacon, sausage sandwich, great bread. Would have preferred bacon, sausage to be cooked more, but that’s personal preference prefer well done. Also sold hand selection of handmade jewellery, trinkets etc. bought lovely earrings and ring.

My other half took me here as he has been singing it's graces for a long time. I am from east Sussex and came to visit him and he said we had to go here. I am blown away by how good the burger was. What a burger! Happily will return next time I see him, so we can chow down to this tasty grub again.

Wow, what a beautiful gem tucked away in the heart of Thornbury! The moment you walk through the door you feel the warm hug of welcome from Richard, with his knowledge of drink, the food he is serving, and his attention to detail to your hospitality experience, makes you apreciate how special this restaurant is. The tables are set out with plenty of space to enjoy the company you are keeping, the decor is stunning and table decorations beautiful. This is not like eating in just any restaurant, this is an experience. Be prepared to learn about what you put in your body, and enjoy.. Each course is beautiully arranged, the flavours are cleverly thought out and compliment the drinks (if you have a wine flight) Richard explains each dish and paired drink in detail. The timing of each course adds to the relaxed atmosphere. Each dish was stunning, delicate plates packed with flavour, beautifully presented and I felt guilty eating them, they were that pretty. Thank you so much to Ronnie, Richard and all the team who created a lovely evening and fine dining experience.We are so lucky to have this right on our doorstep. I cann't wait to try one of Ronnie's famous Sunday Roasts...be back soon ..

I was part of a very large pre booked running group- we were all very hungry upon arrival! We were catered for superbly with a number of delicious breakfasts, coffees and drinks brought to us promptly. The food looked and tasted lovely; the atmosphere perfect for a Christmas social and then there were the cakes! Wow! Despite feeling full, a number of us bought the delicious cake on offer which was kindly packaged up in a take-away box for later by the staff- a wonderful morning had by all.

Honestly love this place. The food outstanding, the staff are always friendly and the portions generous. The Indian doner is my particular favourite and with the skin-on fries, it’s incredible. Enough for two so I tend to share a single portion with my other half. The chilli sauce is also some voodoo-mystical sauce unlike any other and it’s equally unreal. 👏👏 Thanks guys!

Lovely setting with friendly staff. Dog and coeliac friendly. I had the avocado with poached eggs on gluten free toast, husband had the savoury tea. Even the dog got a treat! Food was perfect.

I've been coming here with my husband and brother to play Yu-Gi-Oh! (and more recently Pokemon) for several months now. We were all a little nervous as we'd never played with other people and didn't know the new rules! Martin is always super welcoming and has now probably taught all of us how to play both games which have now become regular hobbies for the three of us. I also always find the events are super well run and great fun, it's been great for us to find somewhere that feels nice and welcoming to play at :)
