Love this pub! Visited while staying at the Eagle House just around the corner. A proper old fashioned wet house, local but very welcoming. Highly recommended!

Tiny pub tucked away in the middle of Launceston. Great selection of local real ales and ciders. I was there mid week so very quiet with a steady local trade. New beers coming on a regular basis advertised on menu board with Avb% & cost. If you like a traditional pub and real ale ,this one's for you. Also very reasonably priced.

We popped in for a quick drink on a windy day. The selection of ales and ciders were very good and the atmosphere was very welcoming and very dog friendly.

First visit - good friendly local pub. A place I would use regularly if I lived in the town!

We were looking forward to some great ales.When we arrived it was closed. According to the locals, the owners open and close whenever they feel like it, so please call ahead to avoid a wasted trip.

Popped in to experience some live music, for the first time in a while. Really friendly pub good real ales and good music - and I am also reliably informed, by my wife, that the pasties are very good although she did get some stick for seasoning with tomato ketchup 😁

Very nice pub. Used a function room for a meeting and staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Enjoy my meal.. good service, pulled pork, with barbeque sauce, cheese, spring onion, on chips, hot, nice coffee. Not to expansive.

The atmosphere and the ales are excellent. The staff friendly and best of all it is a proper pub, no tvs, no gaming machines. People actually talking to one another GREAT.

Wow, not usually given to hyperbole but I stumbled upon this place on an infrequent visit to Launceston and was blown away. A grade two listed ,16th century building it has been sensitively restored by the current owners .The atmosphere and ambiance overwhelms the senses and takes one back to the glorious days of "real "pubs. This is Free House devoid of television ,slot machines or juke boxes but full of appreciative and interesting locals plus a large selection of interesting real ales. Dogs are more than welcome . Food consists of pasties and pork pies but that is not what this place is all about. It boasts great live music and historically it is the oldest pub in Launceston. Two log fires will keep you warm in winter and there is a small patio for summer. If you are of a similar mind you MUST try it.

What a beautiful old pub ,former coaching inn,it retains most of its original features ,even though it doesn't serve food you can order pasties/ pork pies and your normal pub snacks ,defiantly deserves a visit as it has a good range of ales and other beverages. Land lord is very welcoming ,will be going back again next time I'm in Launceston .

Really good pub. Lots of history around here and The Bell is part of it. Free House, with some interesting beers and ciders. Very pleasant barman made visitors very welcome. Lovely old clean interior and spotless toilets. Strongly recommended.

Cracking 'real' pub. Went here with my wife for a sandwich and a pint. When we walked in, we were welcomed warmly, the place is spotlessly clean, and, although this is a good proper boozer type pub, we didn't feel out of place at all. Had 2 amazing beers, but no sandwich unfortunately: they had very tasty pasties and port pies, but we went elsewhere for food.

Perfect in every way, I've been there a couple of times whilst visiting my brother and was made to feel very welcome and comfortable. When visiting this time we were lucky to experience the Lanson shout absolutely superb loved every minute. Thankyou to everyone at The Lamb for making us so welcome we will be sure to come again.

Very oldie worldie, a real locals pub but still made to feel welcome. They have an open fireplace but it wasn't on the day we went which was a real shame as it was a very cold night.

The best pub in Launceston by a long way. A proper pub - a beer drinkers paradise with several local real ales on offer at any time. No screens, muzak all fruit machines thank God. Just great ale, a friendly welcome and depending on the company a good chat. My only criticism is that it can be sometimes a little chilly. The landlord needs to light the wood burner more and stoke up the cosy factor a tad.

This is what I call an original Pub, great atmosphere fantastic ales, being a member of CAMERA the ales were very well presented and of good taste, children and dog friendly what more do you want, a cupboard full of games and a separate family room if required, don't change a thing you have great pub, well done guys.
