The best restaurants in Castle Worthing South East

This morning, after eating at Kolbeh, my partner said "Well, at least I wasn't sick" which is about the best thing we could say about the place. The lamb and the 'Angus steak' meatballs were both spongy in the way that supermarket food is when cheap ingredients have been minced very finely and then re-constituted and the chicken wings were scrawny and undercooked. I put on my reading glasses in an attempt to find a small amount of chicken worth eating but failed. Un-fortunately my partner ate some of the chicken which is probably why she felt like she was going to be sick while I mercifully escaped the nausea. Aside from the poor food the place had no ambience and was too cold. Service was fine but it's not going to make up for the terrible food. We went for my partners 50th birthday after reading the inexplicably good reviews on here-never again. If you're looking for middle-eastern food in Worthing I'd recommend going to EFES-it's infinitely superior.

Shame they have closed the smoking room so no nicotine but good for a hit of caffeine before having a crafty smoke behind the bike shed.

Best fish and chips in Durrington. Everything freshly cooked to order. Good service. Reasonable prices and clean and tidy.

Our first visit. Christmas meal. Absolutely spot on. The food was excellent. The service was brilliant from such young people. Far better than most established worthing restaurants. We will be back.

Only went in for tea as i had never been before and if it was nice i would book a table for another time.The place has plenty of good point but when i walked in was hit by the very very strong smell of fish. Surely they must have extractor fans. What about if you have burger and desserts ?do you really only want the smell of fish. Spoilt my time there. Service ok .Staff welcoming, kitchen staff looked busy, music great thus creating a calm vibe.

Lovely little hidden away gem the only things I can say is the wine is very over priced and the fillet steak is just not a fillet it’s tough and I have it rare and this I could not chew! A la carte food it’s not but it’s a nice settling and a good sized restaurant. Not bad just needs a little more concentration on the menu I feel, appreciated it’s Covid but could be a little more using local produce etc for the price.

This place is very good value for money, shame the wee-man behind the bar serving has as much spark as a wet box of matches.

Been here 3 times over several years. Food is fabulous, staff are efficient and friendly. Everything is spotless. The dog is a complete softie, gorgeous.

Had their chicken bacon and water cress filling in a soft roll, what an amazing flavour profile. I’ve never seen that combo before and it was amazing. Staff were super friendly, it gave me a great start to the day. Highly highly recommend.

We had an absolutely delicious breakfast on Bank Holiday Monday. Breakfast choice was brilliant and food fresh and tasty. Cafe is super clean and staff friendly. Really lovely place.

A classic greasy spoon with lots more to choose from to take away or eta in. Whilst waiting for my bike to be MOTd, I really enjoyed a perfect egg and bacon sarnie in white bread, with builders’ strength tea served with the confidence of someone who knows what people like that comes from many years in the restaurant trade. Highly recommended!
